We loved our stay here… arrived quite late and helped all the way. We stayed in Dante, right next to the breakfast room but there was a small corridor and 2 doors in between… very quiet! Conveniently located, very clean, breakfast was included, we loved it. Great value for money

I stayed there for 4 days with a friend of mine during summer holidays. It was very clean, nicely decorated (old building though) with excellent breaksfast. The convenient location was what we needed to walk all around Florence. The owners were very friendly and helpful with manu suggestions. They even left fruits and other snacks in our room to have it for the afternoon. Totally suggested!

Good value for Florence (so beautiful but expensive city!). Large rooms, but small restrooms with a tiny shower that it's difficult to rotate... The owners (mother and son) are very agreeable and help us to book several Fiorenza restaurants. Sufficient breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay of 4 nights here very much. The breakfast was very good. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars was the daily battle we had to do with closing the doors on the very small shower!

The owners are exceptionally nice, fabulous location, quiet, calm, breakfast food is ok and place is clean- all a great price. Bed mattress was way too hard and bed was creaky, but if you are on a modest budget this is very reasonable!

The hotel is situated on a small street some 10 minutes from the Palatine gallery (Pitti palace) and Boboli gardens and 20-25 minutes from Duomo. The breakfast is very poor, the cold meat was only two times. But the coffee machine is available all day long and that is really great. The receptionists were very polite and friendly. They helped us with our suitcases and baby stroller. The beds are not very comfortable and the sanitary room was not entirely clean. The WiFi was not available in the room 5 (Giotto), and the same about TV. The signal just didn’t reach that room :( But I liked the rest there inspire of these small disadvantages:) Oh, almost forgotten! They have a nice little library and you can read books for free :)

We stayed at the Home in Florence in early June 2017. We selected this B&B as it was on the quieter side of the Arno river near the Bobli gardens. On arrival at Florence train station we had a walk of @ 40 minutes with our carry ons as we took a wrong turn but in truth its 30 minutes max and easy to find. If arriving after late morning best email them to let them know approx arrival as the reception desk is not manned all day. The B&B is in a residential part of the city on the 2nd floor of an apartment building and its very quiet and relaxed. All the rooms were very nicely decorated and although varying in size were well appointed and spacious with good bathrooms, some with a bath others just a shower. Towels are also provided along with toiletries, free wifi, in room safe, air conditioning and a small fridge for your use. We were shown easy routes to all of the attractions and dining options on a local map provided free of charge, very helpful. Breakfast was a basic affair of continental offerings with fresh pastries, croissants, yoghurt, toast and cold meat and cheese, fruit juice and tea/coffee. Having siad this its only fair to say Home in Florence is very well situated for eating out with cafes and a wide range of restaurants close by along side roads or in small local piazzas. After getting our bearings we found it was no more than a leisurely 15 minute stroll across the Ponte Vecchio and into the main city. The B&B is also not far from the Porta Romana gate (part of the ancient walls of the 14th century and best preserved city gate) and if you go through this gate and across the road by the roundabout you will find the Porta Romana Gelateria where gelato or frozen yoghurt can be found in a wide range of amazing flavours for 2.5Euros each (3 scoops to) great after a hot day. The bus also picks up and drops here (No 12 & 13) for the 10 minute ride up to Piazzale Michelangelo a 200m square viewing area with wide ranging and beatiful views across the whole of Florence, a must for anyone not wishing to climb any of the 400 step towers but still see the views. Its strong points are good location, lower cost, good rooms, excellent staff but breakfast was basic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here as Florence is a beautiful city and the Home in Florence was a good base to explore from.
