Quiet yet convenient location within the historic centre, Friendly family run hotel/guest house providing lots of great advice on eating and seeing. All round, we were well catered for including special dietary needs. We would definitely stay at 1865 again.

Yes, I'd say about a 15 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio. My girlfriend and I spent 3 days there and (other than transfers) we didn't use any public transport. We just walked everywhere.
