Nobody was there, when we arrived (adviced). No garage reservation, asked in advance. Street door closed. Horrible steep stairs over 3 levels. Apartment door closed. Luckily I could reach somebody on the phone, receiving a code to enter the apartment. Horrible smell from the toilet... I received the information to find our room in the back of the apartment. Super welcome!

The owners and staff are really really lovely and friendly. The room is very clean. Breakfast there is good as well. The location is very convenient in the heart of the city with restaurants, cafes and supermarket all nearby. I would definitely recommend this place.

Very clean rooms, clean and recently renovated bathroom. Private bathrooms but not attached to your room. Fabulous location, on quiet street but in the heart of downtown, close to everything! Breakfast was good for an easy continental service. Friendly owners

We first stayed here 3 years ago and chose to stay at the warm and friendly Badia Fiorentina B & B again when we visited Florence last month. Renovations have been carried out since our first visit and our room, with its own beautiful private bathroom just across the landing, was lovely. As before, there was plenty of choice at the buffet style breakfast, where guests all sat together at the refectory style table, giving everyone a chance to chat, lovely personal touch to our stay. Bruno you look so incredibly well, it was great to see you again and receive such a warm welcome to your home.

We stayed at this Badia a while back and were so impressed we booked again. OK we had forgotten about the stairs with our cases but, we managed. It was worth it. We were shocked at the transformation. The Badia had become a boutique B&B. The rooms have had a good decoration and the bathrooms fitted with that Italian flair of designer porcelain. Wonderful. Breakfast, at the refectory table was a little better. There was no complaint in the first instance. Nice to chat to other guests, especially if a different language is involved. Plenty to eat to get you ready for walking about this wonderful city. The badia is in a perfect position within walking distance of everything that you want to see in Florence. Won’t mention the restaurants and there are so many really good ones close by. Finally, it was so good to see Bruno and see how fit he has kept himself. I am just a few years younger so there is, always, that concern. Anyway, it was so good to see him again and he still gives my partner a good hug. Thanks guys for another fabulous stay in your home. See you next visit.

The location is really good but the rooms are old, specially the bathroom, and it wasn't very clean. There is a long flight of stairs to get to the apartment which we weren't aware (and we were traveling with an elderly person so that makes a difference), so Just be aware if this would impact you as there is no elevator. The breakfast only starts at 8:30 which is not usual and quite late if you like early mornings. There wasn't much variety and also there is only one table for all the guests.

Location was very good and staffs are nice. Room was clean. But be careful, there is no lift. only long stairs to enter the hotel. it's not kind for elderly people. We brought heavy luggage by ourselves. **in our case, there was only elderly staff(over 80 years old) and he couldn't help us. And key was so old and very difficult to open/lock. (room key was okay, especially entrance key was difficult and we couldn't enter the hotel smoothly)

WE choose to stay here because of the location and it is a great location! Bruno prepared a nice breakfast with his homemade applecake, and the usual offerings of yogurt, meats, and cheeses. He also arranged for a taxi pickup to the airport for us. There are many fine sights and great restaurants very nearby. However our room was very basic and plain, the bathroom miniscule, and completely lacking in any charm. It was the least attractive and comfortable of any place we stayed in our 5 week trip. The location made up for it mostly, but I was disappointed, based on the reviews. We had stayed at the Dei Mori (in the same building, up a flight of stairs) several years ago and the room there was charming. Don't know what the other rooms were like here at Badia, so maybe it was just ours that was lacking. It is a great location and Bruno was very helpful, that is why I gave it 4 stars.

I found this place while looking on TA for a lodging in Florence. We wanted something close to Il Duomo and I found Badia Fiorentina B and B. This place is perfect and Bruno is the perfect host. We asked about places to eat and he gave us a list with helpful hints on where he liked to eat. The rooms are large and spacious and have in suite baths. The breakfast is breads, cereals fruit and such but is filling. Coffee or espresso is available. The b and b is within walking distance of the train station about 15 minutes as are most of the attraction of the old city. Can't say enough about this find. This will be the place we stay when we return to Florence. Bruno even set up a taxi to take us to the airport when we left.

Close to everything stayed here 2 years ago and wanted to stay here again but not available for the dates I need. Comfortable beds and good breakfast. Perfect location clean, spacious, close to good restaurants, the Duomo, walking distance to everything pretty much. It felt like I was staying with family.
