The hotel is relatively central and located in a residential area. The building and the area breathes the early 80s and indeed, also the room was having those characteristics. The reception is not hyper modern, but welcoming. The staff very kind and available. We went to our room and the room was relatively spacious, with two simple beds, a nighttable, a desk, tv, a kitchenett hidden in a wardrobe. There was also a quite large balcony, with a decent view over the area (but disturbed by the cars noise). When entering the room, one entered a small hall with a decently spacious wardrobe, and in fron, the bathroom with a shower. The bathroom had plenty of towels and all needed for a shower, not much space to put things on. It was having a very strong touch from the beginning of the 80s if we talk of style. Everything was quite clean, but it is clear that everything is a bit outdated. The furniture was a bit torn. The first night there was not exactly calm. Without closing the door to the entry, one could hear plenty of movements in the corridor. The A/C was very noisy and the fridge from the kitchen was not quiet either. The second night I turned off the A/C, closed the door, and moved slightly the fridge so it stop muttering. The breakfast was very italian - but also very cosy in a sense. One could order all sort of morning beverage from the bar. The cappuccino was outstanding and the staff incredibly kind. The food was mostly prepacked items, except for some fresh pastries. There was also gluten-free items, a decent choice of them. Three different juices were available (but they felt quite artificial), it was possible to get toast, some ham and cheese, if one wanted and fruit. Considering location/parking/atmosphere, I think the hotel was a little bit expensive. Considering the "cosyness" one was getting after a while, it was probably well deserved. The hotel had also tennis fields and an indoor pool (and a gym, I think). But we didn't try any of these. The tennis court seemed quite popular.

I was disappointed from my experience here. The gym and pool were closed & I was told that it was due to Covid- that should be advertised on their website. The WiFi didn't work in the bedroom and the walls are so thin, it felt like the screaming children running down the halls at 2am and 7am were in my room. The shower door was also broken in the bathroom and although the staff were lovely at breakfast, the breakfast itself wasn't good.

Good location and price. Very nice and flexible service - a very early breakfast was prepared especially for us. Room clean and large. The windows overlook a fast-moving route but it doesn't bother if it's a short transit stay.

Despite the below, we actually really enjoyed our stay in Cagliari. The Poetto beach is beautiful and easy to get too (ask at reception for a bus ticket, is 1 euro 30 and you need to get 2 x buses but its worth the trip!) and the pizza place at the bottom of the road is reasonably priced and they're quick as well! which is great, especially if you've had a forced fast thrust upon you because you turned up on Italian labour day and EVERYWHERE was closed. We asked for a mountain view room, and while we got this, unfortunately this also included a stunning view of one of the main flyover motorways that runs through Cagliari and almost our bedroom window. The hotel room itself is very clean and tidy however it does look like it was furnished in 1970s and the owners liked it so much, they've never ever changed it. The bathroom is bright green wall and floor tile and we recommend you don't look at your reflection in the bathroom mirror because it might be the most unflattering lighting you've ever seen. Shower is powerful but don't trust the shower door - the gentleman from reception had to free me in my shower cap and towel from the lime green ceramic nightmare. He was very nice though. The room was also very cold, and the heating/air con didn't work at all no matter how much we pleaded with it. Take a hoodie, or nick your loved ones. The beds are also very uncomfortable but do come with a weird army issued bed fleece - maybe this ties into the 70s theme, I'm not sure. Breakfast is quite nice and they have a large selection available. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly so for that, i'll give them 3 points! House Keeping did steal my bar of Milka though, they lost a point for a that.

This hotel is good to stay for one night but not more. Location is 29 minutes by bus to the city centre. I had the intention to dine in the hotel restaurant “La Finestra sul Cielo” as advertised on the web. This restaurant has good reviews. I was very disappointed when I was informed that it had been closed for about five years. There are no restaurants close to the Hotel. As it was late in the evening, the only alternative was to dine in the Up restaurant located on the fourth floor of the building. It is a shame that Ristorante La Finestra Sul Cielo is still being advertised on the web uliviepalme.it and also on Trip Advisor. On the contrary the Up restaurant has zero reviews and 2 ratings. The staff hurried around as they are understaffed which make one feel uncomfortable. The restaurant opens at 8.00 pm so one has to wait for the opening time even if you are early back in the hotel and wish to eat. It has a set menu with little choice, take it or leave it. It was antipasto consisting of veg and then either pasta or rice for first course and meat or fish for second course plus desert. Besides, there is a wait of about half-an-hour to forty-five minutes between each course and one will end up eating pasta very late. At least the taste was very good. Worst of all was the terrible heat. There is no air conditioning in the restaurant and one can imagine how awful it is to stay there for at least three hours to finish your meal! The bar closes after breakfast. Once I asked from where I can get a cup of coffee, it was around 5.00 and was instructed to go to the 2nd floor and help myself from a vending machine! Disgusting! Breakfast was not refilled after 9.00 am. It looks as if they have a shortage of cutlery, as most guests had to wait or ask to be given a fork or a spoon from the kitchen as the cutlery trays end up empty very quickly. Another disappointment – the swimming pool is closed and not functioning. It will not be functioning any time soon as major repairs are required. This was also not notified on the web. So whoever had the impression of going for a dip before it was time for dinner, had to find another way to while away the time till 8.00 pm. There is nowhere to go nearby if not to hear mass in front of the hotel. Something on a positive note - In another review it was said that the elevator starts from the 1st floor, but this is not the so, there is an elevator on the ground floor. The rooms are spacious, very clean, towels and toiletries are replenished daily. The breakfast is plentiful and one is spoilt for choice at the cakes section. The freshness and taste is outstanding. Still, this is definitely not a three star hotel.

Booked to stay here one night after flying in late at night. Great hotel, comfortable room. Free street parking and really nice breakfast. We knew the location wasn't the best for seeing Cagliari, but with a car it was easy to drive to town and to the beach.

We were in Cagliari for a family wedding. We reserved at this hotel because it was close to the wedding venue. But otherwise, location is far from city centre and there are few restaurants in walking distance to hotel. Some rooms have been updated but others, as well as common areas need to be refreshed, especially elevators/ access to rooms, lobby bathroom and play/game areas. Restaurant staff were not very welcoming to guests arriving after 9:30. Reception staff were not very accommodating to assistance requests. But worst of all was discomfort from heat. There is no a/c control in the rooms and the air conditioning is turned off by hotel during morning and early afternoon hours. Even when it was on, it cools minimally, leaving us tossing and turning at night from warm temperature. Opening the windows was not an option due to expressway traffic noise directly behind the hotel. And when we thought we could get some relief by ordering a chilled Campari soda at the restaurant/bar, we were given room temperature cocktails because they had no ice! This is unacceptable for a hotel of this category.

We spent 1 night here as it was relatively close to the airport (still some 10 minutes by car). The hotel is a bit outdated, but the room was very spacious (including a small kitchenette, a fridge, a sofa..) and clean. Breakfast was simple but nice.

I was on a business trip in Cagliari and decided to find a hotel not so close to the city center but well connected to the other parts of the city. So this hotel is around 3.5 km from the city center but the center can be easily reached by foot (25-30 min) or if you choose bus, there is a bus station in around 80-100 m from the hotel (line 1). There is the swimming pool in the hotel, with sports program for kids, or for adults. also, I saw a lot of football players because close to the hotel there is a sport stadium. The hotel is in quite surrounding, with the nice view. The single room was spacious, nice bathroom, and if you are interested in preparing the lunch or dinner, in the room there is all necessary equipment but it have be additionally paid. Generally, where clean room, good breakfast, quite nice and safe surrounding.
