Travellers' Choice
THE POSITION The B&B "62 Marinai" is a splendid palace of the '700 located in a strategic position in the heart of the historical center of Bari, between the main entrance of the port and access to the Basilica of St. Nicholas. From the structure you can start discovering the Romanesque architecture of the Basilica of San Nicola and the Cathedral of San Sabino and the Norman Castle and the Wall, giants that make Bari old breathtaking. STRUCTURE Recently renovated, the property has three bedrooms, one on each floor, with private bathroom, heating, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, refrigerator, hairdryer and digital TV. The rooms are furnished and decorated in a sober, contemporary style and are named after three of the 62 sailors (Maraldus, Nauclerius and Topatius) who participated in the famous translation of the relics of the patron saint. Every choice, attention to detail, has been done to characterize the best feature beauty of historic homes and to make the stay of our guests an enjoyable experience.

Armando was a brilliant host. He was more than helpful and came to greet us once we arrived. He also passed by us on our last night and came over to chat to us to ask about our stay and what to do once we check out. The hotel was lovely and clean. Beds were comfortable and room was spacious. The room was also clean and the bathroom was pleasant. Overall a brilliant stay and would definitely come back.

I live in England and last year we booked one night stay at the B&B 62 Marinai, which it was supposed to be the night before a Costa Cruise. The cruise was cancelled and all non essential flights are banned. For personal reasons I was unable to cancel my booking but the owner contacted me say that, because of the current situation he understood and offered a full refund. I am impressed with the honesty, the ethical and moral standard of the owner. On the day of disembarking the cruise ( that was cancelled ) we had a total opposite experience. Villa romanazzi in Bari charged us full price and actually said there was no need to explain any reasons for the fact that I was unable to cancel the booking. Totally polar opposite experience but I can say I am impressed with the honesty, morality and integrity of the owner of B&B 62 Marinai. Well done

The location just inside the wall made it easy to get to and the room was everything we needed; clean, modern bathroom, spacious bedroom, attractive room with stone walls. Our host met us when we arrived, he was very friendly and had a map with suggested restaurants ready for us. It is perfectly positioned in the old town and we thought it was very good value for your money.
