We had the absolute best time away in Hotel Bologna. The terrace suite 624 is worth the extra money if you want - taste of luxury. The hot tub on a cold winters day was just lush, the views amazing. Rooms very clean and daily turnovers excellent. Staff on reception, in particular Allesandro and Rosa were super helpful and friendly. The breakfast team know how to put on a wonderful spread and know how to make a decent cappuccino! The location is so central and convenient. We parked at Cittadella car park and it’s a 5 min walk to the hotel (as no parking at the hotel) it cost €20 per day which for city centre is standard. Verona is beautiful and when your base camp is Hotel Bologna it take the whole experience to another level.

We stayed in the Hotel Bologna for our first trip to Verona and we were delighted with our choice. The hotel is so central, right beside Piazzia Bra, the staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. The rooms are small but immaculately clean, with a comfortable bed and the shower is fab. Breakfast is buffet style in the restaurant attached and there is so much to choose from, they offer room service too at a small extra cost, if you prefer. We were in room 346 and there is a bar right across the narrow street, it is noisy but the windows are soundproofed and we had no issues getting to sleep. I can highly recommend Hotel Bologna and we will be back. Special note that Allessandro and M. Luisa on reception were absolutely lovely and a pleasure to deal with.

All perfect!!!!! Unbeatable location, comfortable and impeccable room. The staff is very professional and friendly. Breakfast is delicious and abundant, with a great selection! Nice area for breakfast watching the city wake in the morning. The owner, Milena is on every little detail to make your stay very pleasant. We didn't want to leave and definitely will be back.

We had to reschedule a planned trip due to issues beyond our control and we wanted to push the dates to a new window. Even with months of notice this hotel would not agree; we were not looking for a refund just a rescheduling. All we could get for them - and they have an overlying booking service serving hundreds of hotels was a no. a rule is a rule. So beware - they are not a customer friendly organization and have simply pocketed our money.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Great location Great staff, they were a funny and a bit sassy! :) Nice design in the rooms Nice breakfast area with an outdoor dining area looking out onto the plaza. Our friends we were traveling with booked into the rooms that were in the building next door, and they were very happy with them. Only drawback is that the rooms were your typical small older hotel rooms, but you aren't in Italy in sit in your room. And thank god the a/c worked great as it was hot as hell when we were there! I wish that they would collect that city room tax ahead of time, I forgot to pay it on the way out and they called me repeatedly! :)

The upsides and benefits: centrally located, spacious and quiet room (reserved a deluxe, high floor, back of building room). Plentiful breakfast, pleasant helpful staff - mostly. Downsides: significant roach problem- I killed 10 roaches in 5 days. When mentioning it to front desk, the lady simply nodded unsympathetically, as if she’d heard it a thousand times before. Also saw housekeeping with bug spray, so they have an issue with this. Water pressure in shower was marginally acceptable at best. If they could convince me that they were handling their bug problem, I would be happy to stay there again and recommend this place given its multiple benefits.

The main aim of our stay in Verona was to visit the opera in the Arena. We chose this hotel for its fantastic location and we were not disappointed. 6o metres from the Arena, which was important when the opera finishes at 12.30am! The hotel is also close to the main shopping streets! One word of warning - due to the very noisy clientele of the adjacent bar you must avoid rooms at the front of the hotel if you want a good nights sleep. Staff very friendly and helpful - particularly the young man on reception. Excellent restaurant - Rubiani - on the premises.

What a find! A stone’s throw from Piazza Bra and the arena, this 3 star hotel makes a perfect holiday base. I travelled with a friend, and we both had very good rooms - comfy beds, good air-con and clean, spacious bathrooms. I was in room 230 which is at the front of the hotel. There was a fair bit of noise at night from the bars and restaurants below, but fortunately the air con drowned that out. If you are particularly sensitive to noise, ask for a room away from the piazza; my friend was in 460 and that was very quiet. Breakfasts were great, with a huge selection of different foods which would satisfy everyone. Service was very friendly and speedy. We really enjoyed our stay and would book here again if I returned to Verona.

Lovely hotel in Central Verona. Well appointed close to the Arena. The staff at the Bologna are delightful, especially Alessandro who was helpful and of great assistance throughout our weeks stay. Our room was gorgeous, quiet at night and cleaned thoroughly every day. The breakfast staff were also lovely and the choice at the buffet was excellent. We sat each morning outside on the veranda and enjoyed watching the World go by whilst eating. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!

This is our second stay at Hotel Bologna and it did not disappoint. The staff are so kind and always hospitable. Traveling with trains and planes does not allow for appropriate arrivals, so we are always early for check in, but the desk staff are always accommodating and will expedite the readiness of our room. Thank you for making our visit wonderful. See you next year!
