We stayed in October 2018. Lovely little b&b. Helpful hosts. Breakfast was good and although the decor is a little dated it was clean and comfortable. Location was great as it was tucked away so nice and quiet.

A bit of a hike to get to from either Arsenale or Biennale vaporetto stops but also situated in a great part of Venice—a few steps past a little bridge you’ll find a bunch of decent restaurants and cafes and the side entrance to the Giardini public gardens that host the Biennale. It’s got its own private shady courtyard and overlooks a canal. Its very retro—like staying in Venice in the seventies. It’s pretty spare, with older, well-cared-for furnishings and stone/marble inlaid floors like a public school auditorium. Its very clean—my room had a basic bed, a sink, and a very beautiful small armoire. I choose a room with shared bathroom facilities. Bathrooms were also scrupulously clean (though water pressure could be improved—but for the price, I can deal with a slightly weaker flow). Breakfast was super abundant! (Tip: wait for fresh toast and croissants before you open the packaged croissants they give you first. My guess is the packages are for the late risers). There seemed to be air conditioning in the room but I didn’t use it. A tip for the proprietor: the plants need more sun and less water—and maybe a little plant food.

This hotel and its very friendly and helpful propriator offer a very rare opportunity to stay within reasonable walking distance of central Venice without spending the earth. Located near the top of Via Garibaldi, which is a very agreeable street that runs down to the main water front, the area offers a selection of shops and good restaurants charging less than those along the waterfront or in the city centre. Nevertheless St Marks Square and all the attractions of this stunning city are easily walkable or even easier by water taxi, though we enjoyed waking almost everywhere, despite the heat. The air-conditioned rooms, some of which overlook the canal, are comfortably furnished in an old-fashioned style, but the hotel also offers a large lounge and an even larger, cooler and attractive courtyard. This hotel offers a rare opportunity to visit a very expensive city and stay in pleasant accommodation but without spending a fortune on the hotel.

Due to flight problems we had to stay an extra day in Venice. We rang this hotel which we found in a Marco Polo guide and the owner was really friendly and helpful. We booked a room on the first floor which was en-suite. The room had high ceilings and was airy. The painted furniture we thought was great ;so individual. Such good value at 79 Euros for the night + local tourist tax. There is a big lounge area on the same floor with retro furniture and a small balcony overlooking the canal. There is also a lovely outside courtyard you can sit in. Breakfast was 6 euros and was a continental with plenty to eat, and the owner when I told him my dietary issues bought gluten free bread and rolls just for me! So helpful having a left luggage facility. Be aware that some rooms on the second floor share bathroom facilities but the owner makes that clear. Whole experience of this place was great, and if we ever return to Venice this is where we would stay

Great little place to stay, decor maybe slightly tired but spotlessly clean. Location was ideal, tucked away so nice and quiet but everything was just a short walk away. Walter was extremely helpful. Breakfast was continental and plentiful. We found the water to be hot constantly so not sure about others comments on this.
