Hotel Sant'Antonin is a brand new Boutique hotel in the Venice historical centre less than 10min. Walk from St. Mark's square. A charming nobiliar house of the 16th century with fine original furniture and inserts. Most of it's 14 rooms have pretty views, expecially those overlooking the hotel's private sculpture garden: one of the biggest and most remarcable in Venice.

Our family of 4 stayed at the Deluxe Junior Suite (2 rooms + 2 bathrooms) for 3 nights during the New Year. We are pleased with everything but the wonderful team of staff impressed us the most. We booked this stay originally for 2020 summer, and was postponed twice because of Covid. During the booking, cancellation, rebooking and re-cancellation, their staff (Elena, Joey, Rocco...) have been patient, kind and accommodating in rescheduling our booking. All the while they reassure us they would honor our booking. (We had experience with other hotel which simply "disappear" in our communication) Before our visit, we also asked many questions regarding transportation, restaurant recommendation, and where to take Covid test before departure. It was a challenging time for travelling with the rules changing. The staff actually booked the test for us on New Year Eve, after we failed to find the labs ourselves. The hotel is a small one in Castello district which is about 10 mins walk from San Marco. We actually like it better because it is less crowded. The staff recommended a few restaurants close by. We particularly like Oliva Nera for its great food and reasonable price. The final impression was on our departure day we need to leave at 4a to catch the water taxi to airport. The overnight staff Anthony prepared a bag of our breakfasts, made our cappuccinos so that we would not leave with an empty stomach! Our suite is spacious with high ceiling. The old building and antique furniture adds to the charm of the place. The bathrooms are updated, clean and spacious as well. There is even a private balcony. The hotel has a beautiful garden and I can visualize how charming it is in warm season. May be we need to visit again!

Beautiful hotel with a romantic garden in the eastern sestier Castello, where it's easy to flee the crowds. A kind of "Venice as it once was" - place; close enough to Piazza San Marco, Canale grande, Biennale but far enough to avoid the masses.

The real escape in the greenest place of Venice. Just five minutes from Ducale Palace, Piazza San Marco and much more. Thank you and come again to see our city staying with us. Rocco

Fantastic location with easy access to San Marco and various boats. Many sights within walking distance, too. Super friendly staff and great breakfast selection. Finally, clean, spacious room, even at the basic level. Would happily stay there again.

In a quiet corner but within ten minutes walk of St Marks, our room was lovely and spacious with excellent bathroom and terrace over pretty roofs and garden. Garden a great place to relax. Nearby restaurants are better value and better food than around the main attractions. Very pretty small canals and bridges right on the doorstep and a jetty directly outside for the half hour ride back to the airport by fast water taxi which takes away all the hassle of getting there on time. As a mid-priced option it takes some beating! MS

This was our third stay at the hotel and things seem to have gone downhill a little. Pros - it is in a great location, close to Ospedale for the airport boat and a short walk to st Paul’s or Arsenale for the vaporetto. It also has a lovely garden which you look out onto at breakfast. Cons - our room was noticeably damp. It’s smelt very musty and I wouldn’t have wanted to stay for more than a night or two given the health risks of damp environments. The furniture in our room was rusted - perhaps the sign of a previous flooding? The reception staff didn’t help much simply spraying the room with some fragrance. They have also removed the fridge and mini bar so there is nowhere to chill water or get a cold drink. Also the breakfast had gone downhill - there is new buffet system due to COVID - but the variety has been reduced. No more delicious spinach pie or tomato and mozzarella salad. These touches made previous stays special but this felt penny pinching.
