Location is perfect, a few steps form Campo Santissimi Apostoli and yet very quiet, in a secluded corte, with direct access to the canal. In a 5 minute walk you are at Ponte di Rialto, lots of bacari and nice restaurants all around the hotel. We booked a deluxe room, really nice and very clean. The staff is great, smiling and helpful, everyone, the receptionists ,the night manager and the lovely lady in charge of breakfast . Last but not least, there is the altana (terrace) on the roof, with a view of the city, stunning at sunset. Will definitely be back.
We just stayed at Hotel Ca’ d’Oro for the second time, after we had visited Venice before. It’s still that same quiet and friendly place in the middle of the authentic Cannaregio neighborhood, and located alongside one of the many beautiful Venetian canals. Friendly staff, clean rooms, decent breakfast, etc… All you need for a wonderful stay in this amazing city. We’ll be back!
We had a wonderful stay in this charming hotel, only a ten minute walk from the water ferry terminal. Very friendly reception team who helped with directions and advice on how to get to Murano island. Bedroom very clean, terrace was a relaxing space with nice views and breakfast more than sufficient. We originally booked our trip for June, but due to Covid we could not go. The hotel were really helpful in offering us a voucher for another time to stay and we were so grateful to them and were able to go in September. Thank you to all your team who are working so hard in these difficult times.
I enjoyed my stay here for seven nights. It's a very solid three star, and, as such, great value. I found the staff on reception and at breakfast to be excellent: happy and friendly without being overbearing. It is also quietly well run in terms of the basics: cleanliness and the provision of effective wifi. What is really excellent is the location: a five minutes walk from a water bus stop on the Grand Canal, and just ten minutes in the other direction for a stop to the islands: Murano, Burano and Torcello.
We are still trying to receive a refund for our trip that was going to take place in September. Our flights have been cancelled and our airbnbs have reimbursed us, however this hotel continues to refuse a refund and has been insulting us along the way. To directly quote them "Maybe you're forgetting that you a chose a non refundable rate and you accepted the cancellation policy, we suppose you did it because it was the cheapest on our website.'" I believe they were trying to imply we were cheap and insult us to make matters worse. While I understand the conditions we booked under, I was hoping they would consider an actual refund given the fact that we will not be able to use a voucher within the next year. They also keep implying that we should have found a way to make it to Italy, which tells me they are not taking this pandemic seriously and care more about money than human lives. To also directly quote them they said "if you really wanted to come you'd find a way to make it." Very unprofessional.…
