Travellers' Choice
The Hotel Antiche Figure is inside a beautiful XV century building overlooking the Grand Canal, very close to the main entrances of the city, Piazzale Roma (Bus Station, parkings and transfers to / from Marco Polo and Treviso airports), Central Trains Station (S. Lucia), Venice Shore. It's the ideal starting point to experience the atmosphere between 'calli' and 'campielli'.

I highly recommend this hotel!! The staff is amazing and the room was very clean! I stayed in 211 which had a mini balcony overlooking the Grand Canal. It’s about a 5-minute walk from the parking garage (great if you have luggage). The hotel provided free drinks upon arrival, breakfast, and a free private tour to the Murano glass factory, which included a free private taxi ride. The ride out there and the experience was memorable and one that I will never forget. I felt like a celebrity the way I was treated! Additionally, after checkout the hotel will store your luggage for as long as needed so you can explore Venice without worrying about your bags. I stayed 2-nights in Venice and made the mistake of only staying here on the first night. I’m staying at this hotel the next time I go to Venice and I encourage you to do the same! 10/10

I went at Antiche Figure with my boyfriend for a romantic escape, and we were delighted by the experience: first, the location is the best for those who want to roam around Venice without carrying their bags around, the station is right in front of the hotel, but it doesn't sound busy, you can still hear the sound of water and seagulls. The room was perfectly cosy and clean, it smelled nice, and the bed was tidy and super comfortable. We had a very generous breakfast, you can find both classic continental stuff (eggs, ham and cheese) and super tasty local treats and cakes. Everything very clean, they were super careful with covid-19 restrictions. They were also very helpful via email before our arrive (I asked them for a room with a bathtub and they kindly find it for us). We were definitely very happy of our stay at Antiche figure!

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Antiche Figure last year. It was actually the beginning of March. It was just before the pandemic started to sweep through, so we were lucky to be able to visit. And what a visit it turned out to be. From the very start the check in was smooth and very welcoming. We decided to upgrade to the Junior Suite with Grand Canal view after they offered a price I could not pass on. I mean...how many times are you in Venice? I am one that thinks paying for views in a room is a sucker move as it is just the place I am storing my luggage and sleeping. This time though, worth it. The breakfast there is plentiful and fresh with the same attentive and friendly service you can expect from any of the staff. The hotel is directly across from the train station and therefore perfectly located for easy access to all the vaporetto (water bus) lines. Even though it is close to a central travel hub, it is not busy in front of the hotel and never noticed any overbearing noises. In fact, at night we would open all the windows and enjoy the night breeze and sounds. Also, for those who wonder, we never experienced any overwhelming bad smells on our entire trip. I noticed some people complaining about the smells of Venice. I noticed nothing unusual from this ocean bound town. The bathroom in the suite was immaculate and quite large for a European hotel. Again, it was a suite, so I can't speak on the other rooms. The bed was comfortable and the room had all the conveniences one would need when traveling. I was able to set up my CPAP machine with no problems. For the relatively low price of this hotel I was expecting much less, I will admit. But now my wife and I are wondering if there is any reason to stay anywhere else on our next trip to Venice! In my research I still have found no hotel that can surpass Antiche Figures combination of price, location, hospitality and beauty.

Dear Demskyr, we thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to know that you had a great time with us. Satisfation of our guests is our goal. In summer time due to a natural process ( sun, water, and seeweed) on some days we can have a particular smell around our narrow alleys, absolutely harmless, but it is part of our unique wonderful city. If you plan to come back in Venice, please use the code "backhome" from our website and you' ll grt the best possible price, Best regards

Booked this hotel in January 2020 for a night before my cruise in September and 3 nights after for our 25th anniversary! The first night I booked through Tripadvisor , no problems at all. The 3 nights after the cruise I decided to call and talk directly with the Hotel. They were very nice to talk to and they gave me great information, I made 3 calls to them in 2 weeks before I booked my 3 night stay. They advised me to book directly with them and save lots!!! They asked me to cancel my first night already booked and save more if i payed in advance!!! Ohh well my first mistake for sure. I have never paid in advance before and never will again or even think to stay at this hotel on my next Venice cruise! When Italy shut down in April I called and told them my cruise was cancelled and would like a refund because we can not fly or enter Italy! They assured me Italy will be open in April, all lies, and they told me no refunds because I pre paid! So nice of them HUH! Beware of this hotel and never pay in advance. I have booked a much better hotel in Venice at a much cheaper price and better ratings! To this day nothing at all has happened. I hope they enjoyed my money. They must really need it! PITIFUL!!!!!

Dear Mister JohnH, we are sorry to read what you wrote in Tripadvisor. We never refused to cancel a reservation due to Corona Virus. In the beginning not knowing (as everybody) what Corona virus was, we started offering 50% compensation. Then offering a full compensation refund voucher to be used until the end of 2021. This is following also the provision of Italian law issued during the pandemic. So we are extremely surprised about what you wrote and your evaluation. Please send us your booking detail to take care of your reservation. Awaiting your kind reply, we remain, Kind regards. Alessandro Fornasier Manager
