We suppose to arrive there but the last day they cancel our reservation and we was in panic to book another place . They just text us a message that we can't stay there . Horrible, booking just help us to book something else more expensive and less good and they just cover 80 euros no one deserve that
We stayed here for a couple of nights before going on a cruise.Ideal venue well placed by the Rialto Bridge.Room was ideal for the two of us and the service was excellent.Good choices for breakfast which set us up for the day.If you get chance check out the panoramic views from the hotel roof. Good value for money.
Hotel is located at great spot near Rialto Bridge. Depending on the shift, some staff is friendly but some are condescending. Breakfast has a wide array of normal continental food but great cappuccino and croissants and yogurt. Rooms are outdated and small. We found multiple mosquitos and gnats in our room and was quite disturbed by them.
Pros/Likes: - Fast and efficient check-in and out - Hotel was well maintained and nicely decorated in that beautiful style reminiscent of old Venice 😊 - Room and bathroom were on the smaller side but perfectly fine for two people - Good bedding and sheets - Slippers - Minibar/fridge with enough space for your own beverages - Excellent location next to Rialto bridge and boat stops (though notice the closest stops are for the waterbuses; you have to go up and down stairs over a little bridge for the Aliguna) - Lots of places to eat and shop nearby - Had dinner at the restauraunt one night and it was good - Decent breakfast, including eggs/bacon, pastries, etc. - Closet would not open soon after check-in and someone came to fix it right after I called: good customer service - Good wi-fi - Staff were nice Cons/Dislikes: - Thin towels - The dreaded half-glass door in the bathtub - Shampoo was shampoo/body gel combined plus no hair conditioner - No in-room coffee/tea - TV turned on twice (!) by itself one night, which required turning it off with the remote (which was on a table) 😡 Neutral: - A larger main table would help with room space/size - You get an actual key with a keychain instead of a key card for your room...cute but bulky Impression: Charming hotel with its location as its prime feature…
Where to start? We arrived at the hotel after a long journey and we’re greeted by kind and courteous staff, I had emailed in advance to ask for the best view they could give us as this was our honeymoon. We had booked a junior suite, and price wise it was half what I’d expect to pay for a similar room in London. The man at the desk was patient with my attempts at practicing Italian. Once checked in, we were helped to our room with our bags. Wow, what a room, pink and gold, elegant and traditional but not frumpy, my wife described it as very Ritzy. This, however, was not the headline act. At the end of the room was a balcony with the most insane views over the canal and the Rialto Bridge. Made even better by the Italian flag flying from it. We went out for some chiccetti nearby, and when we returned, the staff had left a bottle of Prosecco on ice in the room, we were so touched, the perfect way to use that balcony is to lean on the railings, glass of Prosecco in hand and watch the world go by. In terms of sleep, the bed was comfortable, the sheets soft and the air conditioning adequate. The black out shutters were the best I’ve seen in a hotel room, pitch black at 8am on a June morning. Noise levels weren’t too bad either. Breakfast was lovely, I’d recommend getting down before 10am to sit outside. A nice selection of various products to cater for most tastes, again, staff were friendly and helpful. From start to end this was the perfect beginning to our honeymoon. We had to postpone our marriage twice because on the pandemic and we just wanted this to be perfect, it was. From the bottom or our hearts, thank you.…
Having stayed at this hotel before and left satisfied, me and my mother were fairly disappointed. There was no extra pillows in the room, the carpet had hairs all over, mattress not that comfortable either. There was also mould in the shower. We were next to a maintenance room/office that was making noise 24/7. We also struggled to keep our electronics charged as we were limited to ONE plug socket in the room and the other being the shaving plug in the bathroom. I would say its outdated and the breakfast is not up to standards for a 4 star hotel in such a nice location. Won’t be staying again.
Pros: 🔸 Location in Rialto area 🔸 Prices not as bad as others. Cons: 🔸 Air conditioner was broken. 🔸 Wi-Fi was intermittent. 🔸 Toilet was broken ‼️ 🔸 Some solo rooms are miniscule. 🔸 One guy at the front desk tried to book me a €120 taxi to the airport and claimed €40 taxis were not available! Be careful and good luck if you stay here.
There were black hairs on the bathroom floor and shower floor when I arrived and black hairs on the blanket and quilt. Not mine! Lucky none on the sheets or pillows. In my emails before booking and when booking I requested the single room with a window onto the Canal. I was told just to note it on the booking and it’d be fine. At check-in the guy spoke over me before I even finished my sentence, asking if I had been able to be allocated that room. He was rude and let me know, no I hadn’t, he said I “needed to request it when I booked”! I looked into a wall and someone’s home about 1m away and had smoke from bar workers below, come into my room all day. Thankfully the rest of the staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast had an excellent selection of items and those staff were great both mornings. There was one terrific waiter when I ate dinner here too. A shame the terrace is nearly all enclosed when they allow smoking. Having smoke blown all over my food and I for 45 minutes non-stop was disgusting by the table next to me. They didn’t eat, just smoked. I left having only eaten half my meal. A 750ml bottle of water was €6 so go to the Coop about 50m away and buy water there. No kettle in the room. Great location and quiet at night.…
Hotel Rialto We have just returned from an excellent stay at the Hotel Rialto. The staff at the Rialto we’re all very welcoming and and professional. The front desk were very helpful during our stay. The room was on the first floor with a canal view .This “junior suite” cost a lot extra but judging from my wife’s tearful (but ‘I’m really happy ”) reaction it was well worth it.This was named a junior suite but in fact was a single but large bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The room was well decorated in beautiful Venetian style with well chosen traditional furniture to match. There can’t be a better view of the Rialto Bridge on the Grand Canal, some 50 meters away . The Hotel has a roof terrace that also affords great views especially at night, if you can’t get a Canal view room it’s worth a visit.Housekeeping was nothing short of excellent and all was kept tidy and clean daily to a high standard. The Hotel offer a free breakfast which is quite an interesting direction these days . We all know there is nothing (in business terms) free in this world and accounts will have factored it in but hey - it’s OK to be different. The breakfast is interesting : there is a small range of cereal and alway some scrambled egg - and something I think that tastes slightly like bacon. It’s wafer thin and must be traditional, but it takes a little getting used to, and is a long way from UK bacon. Coffee is delicious and there are plenty of croissant, pancakes, fruit ,cakes ,cheeses etc if you like a continental style breakfast. So you can get off to a good start for the day exploring wonderful Venice after breakfast. The only fault I can find is not offering a wheat alternative cereal at breakfast - it’s a must nowadays. All the Venice restaurants offer gluten free pasta and that wheat free alternative eg: rice crispies or equivalent is so important to many people, including myself who had no cereal during my stay after being told by restaurant staff it wasn’t possible. The Hotel is really well situated for transport links and I really would recommend getting a water taxi from the airport as it will stop for you at the front door ! It’s a busy and bustling area both day and night . The Rialto bridge seems to attract a lot of late night “singers” and chatty groups who have had a few glasses of wine, the double glazing is ok but I’d recommend closing the wooden shutters if you are a light sleeper ! It was only the first week in May but we had a couple of uninvited mosquitoes to thank for their attention , so be prepared if they like you ! We slept ok most nights and it’s not a problem , all part of a very positive experience. All in all a very good stay and a wonderful 5 day break in Venice.…
I only stayed here one night and am glad this was the hotel I chose. I travelled with my elderly mother who finds steps and long walks difficult so I chose this place for its convenient location. We had a great time, we upgraded to a canal view which I highly recommend, and we used the panoramic terrace too. Breakfast was plentiful, and if I could have anything to say about it is that on the day the staff seemed overworked/understaffed. Special shout out to reception staff that helped when I discovered I had been pick-pocketed. In Venice be extra vigilant with your belongings!
