Enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Bisanzio this week. Hotel was in a quiet neighbourhood very close to St. Marks Square and an easy walk to nearly everything else you'd want to see. Staff were super friendly and the rooms were well-equipped and decent sized. Breakfast was also enjoyable and there are great restaurants and cafes nearby.
The staff makes this hotel 5*. You walk in and you get a smile and a friendly hello. The same wonderful staff have been at the desk since I have been coming (20 years). Gabrielli, Marco, Tony, Luca and Francesco. Lovely chaps. I also recognise some of the breakfast staff. So lovely and efficient. This is a cozy, traditional hotel in a super location. Always busy so book early.
Just love this hotel! After several visits now it consistently maintains its high standard in comfort, cleanliness, facilities, buffet breakfast and value for money. It’s location, just off the Grand Canal is perfect to access all the sights and yet offers a quiet and peaceful environment. Above all it’s friendliness and customer service are second to none. A great team who put your needs at the top of their list of ‘to dos’ - nothing is too much trouble from front of house staff to all those that provide and maintain the catering, cleaning and ancillary services. Well done Bisanzio team - looking forward to our next visit in 2023
Venice is an expensive city, mainly in the heart of downtown where Hotel Bisanzio is located. The hotel premises are elegant and the personnel polite, helping and caring. We can only say it's been a short but very pleasing stay at this hotel. If I should suggest a little improvement is about the breakfast that has been good but improvable in the choice and quality of offering.
Our visit to Hotel Bisanzio was superb. We had booked a loft suite for our visit. We had known that this would be in one of their other buildings. Our suite was up a flight of stairs and was much larger than expected - two bedrooms and two full sized bathrooms. The suite was full of charm. Staff were excellent - friendly, chatty and full of advice. It was in easy walking distance of the large tourist attractions but far enough away to escape the crowds.
Our family of 5 stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms in the adjacent building. We had plenty of space, including a kitchen area. There was also a washing machine, but it was not working during our stay. Great location close to the main square, but still quiet. The staff treated us with kindness, arranging experiences and transportation and making excellent restaurant recommendations. While many in the tourist industry do not seem to welcome tourists in Venice, the hotel staff was an exception - always greeting us with a smile and helping with whatever we needed. Also plusses that the hotel has it's own dock and a bar in the evenings. Breakfast was bountiful and high quality.
We liked staff, they were kind and helpful. Hotel is old, rooms dated, wifi did not work / out of reach in our room, only in reception. Would it be so hard to invest in few routers upstairs? Breakfast is poor quality considering the room price. No coffee/the in the room. Bed is not particularly comfy , we slept ok because we were extremely tired.
We stayed the the Bisanzio for 2 nights after a cruise. The hotel can be reached by taking number 1 River boat about 13 stops (40 mins) sorry can't remember the stop then its a short walk to the hotel which is up an alley and can be missed. Our room was in a building at the side of the hotel in a courtyard. The room itself was big with a walk in dressing room a double and single bed and bathroom with large shower. Breakfast was self-service with everything you expect in a eruopean hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. No faults with the hotel and toom just give a 4 star for being away from the main hotel and feeling you were missing out being away from the hotel. Would definitely stay again when in Venice
This hotel was a recommendation of a blogger. And we were really happy with our stay. The location is very central and our room was very big and cool thanks to air con (August stay). The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
I stayed here 3 nights 22 - 25 august 2022. Check in was efficient and friendly. Because we arrived early, the room wasn’t ready. The room itself was ok. Wood floors, fairly efficient air con. Terrace with a view over the rooftops and a glimpse of St Mark’s Basilica. A small television with international channels. Old style furniture in keeping with both the room and hotel. The bed was hard but comfortable and we both slept well. The WiFi is adequate. There have been a couple of sites I couldn’t reach which may have been the sites not responding. It was ok for emails and the social sites. The shower worked well enough, but we both found the bath floor slippy when showering. The toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap smelt nice, but were in miniature plastic bottles. We both agreed the soap smelt awful. The water in the sink was hot enough to wet shave in. There were plenty of towels but the towel hook spun round, so was basically, useless. Also, no face cloths were provided. Breakfast was good. Juice, cereals, cooked breakfast and the usual meats and cheeses. There is a small courtyard, which is great for an al fresco breakfast.…
