In the heart of Venice, in a location that is extremely quiet but close to all the principal attractions of the city, the Hotel Bisanzio occupies an ancient 16th-century palazzo that was once the home and “workshop” of Alessandro Vittoria, one of the most important Venetian sculptors of the 16th century and a student of the great Jacopo Sansovino. A recent, careful restoration has allowed the Hotel Bisanzio to preserve the fascination of an ancient Venetian palazzo that is, today, equipped with every modern amenity, to ensure a relaxing stay in a structure equipped with elevator, air-conditioning, LCD TV and Wi-Fi Internet access. Ease of access is not secondary when talking about Venice, where people almost always get around on foot. The Hotel Bisanzio is perfectly located, just 150 meters from the city's main public transportation stop (San Marco - Zaccaria), where all the lines for the other areas of the city and the adjacent islands arrive and depart.

A nice hotel, perfect location, near Sam Marco, and Douges Palace. There is a boats station near the hotel called San Zacarria. The receptionist was very kind, a nice room, nice breakfast with kind waiters. The cons for me was the bathroom. A small room, the shower is only for one person,

The hotel was well situated and quite nice. But for the money we had problems with opening our room door and although we complained everyday nothing was done about it. Also, the breakfast was absolutely horrid the scrambled egg's were from a container, the rolls were pre-package as they were soggy, and the orange juice and capuccino coffee tasted as if it came from a machine and neither fresh.

Room was OK but people at the hotel were rude and condescending. We were asked for documents to check in and I asked if driving licenses are in order, the gentlemen said that it depends where where these issued, I said UK and he said that they are not valid because of Brexit and we need to give him passports, this was just rude and I think he only wanted to make some kind of point. I have mentioned this to them and some guy named Marco replied that in 30 years they never received this kind of complaint and that he is not the police...didn`t make any sense but was not polite in his reply, probably some uneducated entitled person. Probably too bored with tourists, we will definitely never step foot in a hotel like that.

I’ve been coming here for 20years and really the lovely guys at reception (Gabrielle, Marco,Luca, and others) are what keep me coming back. Also it is the perfect location, nice breakfast and the cleanest hotel in the world. Cozy old style hotel. Don’t tell anyone or it will become too popular.

This hotel was a recommendation of a blogger. And we were really happy with our stay. The location is very central and our room was very big and cool thanks to air con (August stay). The staff were friendly and helpful.
