The Corte dei Greci hotel having a really exclusive location is the best solution for people looking for a stay near St. Mark Square and its treasures such as the Doge’s Palace , St. Mark Cathedral and the Bridge of Sighs. It is as well an ideal point of departure to reach all the most important historical places such as the Accademia Gallery, the Peggy Guggenheim collection , the Fenice Theater, the Miracoli’s church, San Zaccaria’s church, the Ca’ D’Oro Palace and also the main conference centers (San Giorgio and Zitelle) and the pavilions of the Biennale Art and Architecture in Venice.

Stayed for 2 nights. Lovely location and very friendly welcoming staff. Had a room at the front of the hotel overlooking canal. Small but stylish and comfortable. Excellent central location. Will visit again.

Since the very first contact. Manager at night time is so polite, he makes you feel secure about your decision. Ladies at breakfast time are so adorable. Rooms are absolutely clean and charming. Location impecable.

I recently returned from a 4-night stay at the Corte dei Greci and couldn’t recommend it more. A lovely little hotel in an excellent location just off the San Marco waterfront but tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist haunts so it is nice and peaceful. The San Zaccaria vaporetto is a short walk from the hotel and many popular tourist spots are well within walking distance. From the moment of arrival and throughout my stay, staff were welcoming, friendly and super-helpful. The hotel was very clean and felt very safe in the current pandemic circumstances. As a buffet breakfast is not possible under the current COVID rules, you fill out a form detailing what you would like and this served to you each morning (you can still ask for additional items as required). I am a fairly regular visitor to the city and would happily stay here again.

Stayed here in July 2019. Superb value for money. We spent a just little extra for the canal view which is highly recommended. We had a private breakfast area which was shared with just one other couple. Perfect location in a cute little square, just 5 minute walk from St Marks Sq. Staff friendly and helpful, comfortable rooms with affordable mini bar. Breakfast perfectly adequate for what we paid. Just a small tip for you ladies, you may want to pack an additional mirror for styling your hair as we only had 1 mirror in the bathroom. So glad we found this hotel and can’t wait to return and enjoy lunch and a cool drink outside the canal side restaurants ideally located just outside of the hotel.

Stayed three nights. Prompt check in, very little communication from front of house, they did give us a map when I asked for one. Room basic but functional, we were in 105 which had a larger bathroom. Room had TV, safe and a hair dryer in the bathroom. Breakfast is limited, one coffee machine, juice, yogurts , croissants, hams etc and a standard toaster with only six small tables. Location of the hotel is fantastic, close to the main sites. I would recommend based on the location and the functional room.

What a unique place. When you walk into the lobby you question - Am I in the right place? BUT as they take you upstairs through the rooms and to your actual room - you begin to smile. This place is a step back in time that reveals the formal elegance of Venice in a time past. I could see formal parties, events or evening musical entertainment being in the formal rooms. My room was just the perfect size for me. The bathroom was a bit cold, but I find that's Italy. Breakfast, a big selection of things - but not good. The coffee comes from a push button machine and is really bad. If they offered less, but better quality - the breakfast would shine. BIG THING!!! The elevator was not working due to the flood. something you need to know if you have big bags. Staff is not the warmest, but they help if you ask a question. Close to San Marco Square and easy to get to the dock for the water taxi.

We had a fabulous holiday and the hotel was terrific. Perfect location, excellent family room (double bed + 2 singles) with much-needed air conditioning! I agree that breakfast could have included a few more options, plus we tried to pay taxes but kept being told they had been sorted - UNTIL we were leaving at 6.00am, then had to pay IN CASH! A pity to end on a sour note as the hotel & holiday were perfect in every other way.

The rooms was a box really but with a very high ceiling, looked old and shabby, bed sheet was ripped, shower looked a bit mouldy, the cleanliness was not great. Breakfast was all out of a tin, tinned fruit, tinned juice, and if you were a little late then not much left. Our room had been upgraded by our tour operator from standard to a classic, and we did question if the room was a classic and was told it was, dread to think what the standard one was like! On the positive side it’s location was great - our room had a canal view and a brilliant air con!

Very disappointed to be put in room 105, the exact same room as another reviewer from Sept 2017.... funnily enough room 105 isn't on the website. Awful room. Shower water flows from bathroom under door into bedroom. No bedside tables so all my personal belongings were down on the floor beside my bed. The only positive was the excellent air conditioning unit. So disappointing because it was my first trip away with my boyfriend... nothing romantic or Italian about this hotel. My boyfriend woke every morning in agony from the rock hard bed we slept on. The balcony view was awful. Do not accept room 105!! The hotel website is false advertising unless they give you one of their lovely rooms on the website.
