The Santa Costanza Hotel is set in a quiet residential area of Rome, away from the chaotic city centre but with excellent transport links to easily reach the major sights ( LINE B METRO BOLOGNA ). Hotel Santa Costanza is located in the center of the fantastic Nomentano district, the area with the highest concentration of embassies in the middle of patrician neighborhood and near some of the most important Roman attractions. A spacious hall shall welcome you and the comfortable breakfast room will greet you every morning. The entire building is served by Wi-Fi access and an internet point is available at reception. The hotel offers also a cosy garden with a romantic Mediterranean flavoured atmosphere, lighted by the colours of the nature. This is the great kept secret by the Hotel Santa Costanza in the Heart of Rome. Recently refurbished, we have made an effort to recreate the natural style of the gardens of the Nomentano district. The area is perfect to relax for the mix of flowers, lights, shadows and silence create a unique environment. In within the outside spaces it is possible to take advantage of the Snack /Bar services.

Likely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. And I travel weekly. A poor travel agency booked us here and refused to change it. We had multiple stops here and multiple rooms. The first had an unusable showers. All had rock hard beds with thin concrete pillows. But the worst part of all and the real reason to stay away is the lack of AC. The AC they do have barely works and then they turn the AC off to the entire building at night. Sweltering you open the windows, only to be drowned out by street noise. None of us slept a wink the whole time we were there. Belongs as a mild form of torture in a torture museum. Breakfast is good though.

We stayed here for 4 nights and the experience was well below average. Check-in - Upon arrival, check in was fast, almost too fast, no information about a room safe, we were offered no help with luggage to our rooms, the welcome just didn’t feel warm. Bedrooms - The rooms need updated. Nothing like the photos on any website. The decor was old, the paint was cracking in most places, and the bathroom was so so small. Cleanliness - The cleaners did a good job and cleaned the rooms daily with fresh towels etc. Noise - The noise on a night time was the most annoying thing. The balcony door did not close properly which was reported to reception, I was told that this would be repaired but it wasn’t. The walls and ceilings were paper thin, you could hear people talking late at night and I can honestly say I did not get a good night’s sleep across the entire stay. Breakfast - average. Pastries, cheese, ham, cereals, coffee machine. Generally quiet on a morning. Location - taxi to the Vatican cost us €25 and took 25 minutes. We learned to use the subway which is convenient and takes you to most places. Subway stations either way are around a 10 minute walk away from the hotel. The restaurant down the street, ‘Momart Café’, I would recommend and there is a supermarket next door to this restaurant which was ideal. The general feeling was that the hotel was a bit far from the main attractions, and the area was very residential with not many English speakers. Summary - The negatives completely outweigh the positives for the hotel. Below 3 star for me, I paid £1100 for the stay including flights and will not be staying here again.

We came here for a family trip in October. Room was very small, so we can barely move. Even the door to the bathroom was not possible to fully open, due to the lack of the space between the wall and beds. We asked for the separated beds, but it was just like few centimeters between them. The hotel was very noisy, I understand one reason - noisy guests, it is not the hotel fault, but windows they have, they are not canceling the noise from the street. It feels like the window is open all night and since the hotel is near the very busy street, the noise was there almost all the night. Equipment deserves the reconstruction for sure. Breakfast was very avarege. Staff was really nice. Overall it was good, but we expected more from the 4 star hotel.

We stayed here as part of a contiki tour. Not central location, but we had a tour bus to take us everywhere anyway. Public transport is pretty easy though! Everything is pretty spread out in Rome anyway. The hotel itself is pretty nice. Rooms very spacious which is rare!

The Hotel Santa Costanza was ok for European standards with the typical no space to put anything on a counter or in the bathroom, uncomfortable beds. The shower was so small you could not even turn around in it but the biggest let down is where the hotel is located No restaurants close, no shopping and nothing to do anything unless you take a $12 Euro ride to get someplace. I would suggest staying closer to where you could walk places at this hotel, it is not an option.

The hotel is cozy & nice; the manager was very nice & helpful. Good location; walking distance to several bus stations & to the metro. Carrefour is also a walking distance. The rooms however where small; the breakfast wasn’t good at all!! The bread was old & some had fungus growing on them; the “buffet” was veryyy limited in options. No pancakes; 1 kind of cheese, the eggs were runny... we also put a do not disturb sign on the door; we came back to find that the housekeeping ignored it; went in, and tidied up the room

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and it was very average. The rooms are okay: nothing more than 3 stars. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated close to a bus and around a 10 minute walk to the metro; therefore, it is fairly easy to get around Rome on public transportation from this hotel. Overall, not a bad place to stay.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The staff and service was quite good. The main drawback is poor wall insulation - you can hear your neighbours talking as if they are in your room and in the mornings you are awaken by the noise from the corridors and street. The cleanliness was OK but not perfect. There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room as advertised. At breakfast I missed a wider choice of hot dishes (only boiled eggs and omlette) and vegetables. I was surprised the hotel is a 4-star, it's 3- star at the most. Location was OK for us, you can reach Termini station and the centre by metro or buses.

I stayed with family. There is a balcony and decent room. But it’s really small for a family with a child. They gave a bunker bed. You get Uber access conveniently. Need to walk a bit for metro station. There is a supermarket in 5 mins. May not be a ideal choice for family.

The staff are extremely rude especially one of the men on receptionist/manager. The room was dirty with dust. The air conditioning unit was very loud which meant the room was very stuffy. The shower wasn’t consistent temperature which meant you keep getting burnt every time the water pressure dropped. Breakfast disgusting very small and looked like it had been sat there for weeks with a very small variety. There is one European plug socket if each room therefore you can’t charge 2 phones at the same time. The lift was out of order with no signage on 5 of the 6 levels. The road noice was unbearable with drunk people shouting at the early hours of the morning. The room we were allocated had a window onto a balcony we couldn’t access but the room next door could therefore we couldn’t have the curtains open as someone could be outside the window. I have stayed in a lot better places with fewer stars.
