We thank you for the very good review, Douglas19612604.
We are happy you enjoyed our excellent breakfast and the location, strategical indeed in a side street, in a quiet and elegant small palace of the roman noblesse close to the main sights i Rome.
Fellow reviewers, you let me down!
The Britannia Hotel is old and it shows. From the moment I dragged my suitcase down the stairwell greeting me at entry, I was disappointed I had booked a non-refundable stay. Corridors are old and lacking charm. The room...More

Looking for a small and quiet hotel with charm and style (superior room), this is it. Breakfast was nice, and staff also extremely friendly and helpful. Location was also fairly central depending of your interests.

thanks a lot for your very good review and for naming many of our very good features. Actually our musical playlists shuffle and span more (suitable) musical genres but thank you for expressing your opinion, it counts.

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
