We’re staying at the Lorelei with my mum and booked a double room with one of the jacuzzi terraces, and we’re very much enjoying our stay! Pros: The room is beautifully done up, everything works great, the view is fab overlooking the outdoor restaurant + bar and the sea. The staff are super polite, friendly and professional. The hotel is really clean and fresh. The views are fantastic, and the location is great: about 5/10mins walk into the centre of Sorrento. They have 2 little jacuzzis in the gardens which you can book, and once they’re fully up and running (next year) I’ve been told they’ll open the stair access down the rocks to the beach! Cons: It’s missing plants! The terrace is fab with the jacuzzi and it’s large but there’s zero privacy from upstairs or side neighbours as there’s zero vegetation/plants etc. It makes the whole thing a bit bare. I’m hoping it’s because they only finished renovating in June and things still need tweaked. We’ve had dinner in the hotel restaurant itself and it’s not its selling point - the menu seems to be a little Asian themed and quite ‘fancy’ aka not very Italian at all and doesn’t include anything remotely simple. The prices are also exorbitant (£160 + for 2 mains and 1/2 glasses of wine!). The breakfast is fine but nothing wow - it’s also a little odd that there’s no menu and no buffet - things are just brought out to the table whether or not one even wants them. A small cold and hot menu would work better. The lack of fresh juice is surprising - carton juice is definitely not worthy of a 5* hotel - especially in continental Europe in a sunny country. All in all, those are pretty minor ‘cons’ and there are definitely many more ‘pros’. We’d happily stay here again anytime!…
We had a wonderful stay for 4 nights. The staff were excellent, rooms elegant, and view amazing. They have two hot tubs in what they call a 'relax area' which worked out well - a couple of hours late afternoon with a bottle of Prosecco was the perfect way to end a day's sightseeing.
Excellent hotel with excellent location with a breathtaking view overlooking the Bay of Naples. We visited the hotel keen to experience the aperitive on the sunset terrace very well-known by the locals. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and professional staff and invited to a tour of the beautiful hotel and all the amenities. We indulged ourselves into a nice aperitivo on the terrace whilst waiting to dine at the restaurant. The restaurant was a true culinary experience and I was utterly overwhelmed by the flavours, unique and authentic taste and the highly skilled chef which with great surprise I’ve learnt him to be very young. I’ve eaten in several Michelin’s star restaurant and this is the second to none and confidently I can say better than many! The room was just perfect with a jacuzzi in the bathroom, high ceiling, super comfy bed, exceptionally clean and with a superb view. I reckon that many hotels can offer great view and large and clean room (even though very few like Hotel Lorelei)...however, professionalism and customer care above all is something you cannot put a price tag on that you will easily find at Lorelei. Among everyone that made our stay so unforgettable I would like to give a personal recognition and heartfelt thank to Giusy who has been the best concierge I’ve ever encountered so far going over and beyond her duties. I will never forget how amazingly well I felt when I walked in for the first time, how amazed I was when enjoying my aperitivo at the sunset terrace, how incredibly pleased I was at dinner and how superbly happy when waking up to a great view from my room...I only wish it lasted longer. For you reading those words I can only recommend to not think twice and book your time at Lorelei to start experience and feel what I was so poorly able to describe. …
Although our short visit was somewhat disrupted by heavy rain and wind, this hotel and it's staff made up for it! Had a great stay in the deluxe sea view room which boasted the perfect views of the sea and Mt Vesuvius, and had my Eggs Benedict with fresh bread and fruits served to us by our favourite waiter Enzo each morning. Definitely will be back! Hopefully with better weather! 😊
We stayed here for 4 nights and It’s been perfect. We had an gorgeous room with Jacuzzi sea side 😍 Also a perfect service, all the staff is so friendly. They helped us on everything. My favourite ober is Enzo! He is super funny and kind, he even brings me my favourite breakfast without ordering something. Hilarious, I really recommend Lorelei Londres in Sorrento. Thank you so much for the service
