My son had been studying in Madrid and the place he was staying was around the corner. Perfect location for me to spend Christmas and enjoy Madrid with him. The staff was very kind and helpful at all times. Always greeted me when leaving and coming back. My room was always clean. Felt very comfortable and safe being there. This being my first time out of the United States, and staying in a hotel alone since the death of my husband. I would stay there again.

As someone from eastern Europe by birth and staying at hotels around 300 nights per year I rarely get a first, but this hotel delivered above and beyond expectations. 29 years after eastern European liberation from communism I was forced to sign a registration form that claimed “Russia” as my country of origin - although neither my name nor surname sound vaguely Russian. The receptionist claimed it was a “computer mistake” and I was not to worry - no apologies offered. During my stay there were no thank yous either - it seems the sole female staff member is doing guests a charitable service by working there. Aside from poor service levels the hotel is OK, although the area is a little sketchy and far from public transportation. 2* it is claiming serves it about right.

Stayed here for two nights. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms well equipped and comfortable. Walking distance to football stadium. A bit noisy in the morning and would have liked more hot food for breakfast. Overall I was satisfied and the cost was very competitive.

This a clean and sufficiently comfortable hotel, nothing fancy or special, but clean and equipped with everything you need. The staff is correct, the breakfast is rather simple to Spanish standards, but overall OK, value for money.

Hotel Infanta Mercedes is a 20 minute walk from the Infanta Mercedes station and it is located in a peaceful suburb. I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and the room was nice and clean, albeit a tad small (that's Europe for you). The buffet breakfast was a nice spread of juices, breads, cereals and meats; a good start to the day. All in all, the stay was value for money.
