A Fantastic hostel with private rooms in a prime location of Madrid. The Hostel felt peaceful and relaxing and you could not have asked more from the staff and service. The continental breakfast was unreal and the location was right by the palace and a short 20-minute walk into the centre of Madrid. Next to the hostel is a metro station which will easily take you to where you need to be. For the price you could struggle to find a hostel as good as this one.
within easy walk of city centre ( 10/15 mins to Puerta del Sol) compact but interestingly decorated and furnished pleasant staff rooms are clean location is not posh breakfast is good, cold buffet only downside in our room was the the partition between the toilet and sleeping area doesn't go all the way to the ceiling. you will get to know your room mates intimately! I went with mates. If I came back to Madrid with my wife I would return to LaNave
LaNave is listed as a hostel but you can forget anything like a hostel as soon as you walk through the door. Set in a quiet but perfectly safe 'alley' off a street 5 minutes walk from the Royal Palace it is a converted old factory which has been redesigned to give 15 rooms, breakfast area and large public areas with a small patio.. The interior design makes fabulous use of retro and antique furniture whilst retaining some interesting features from it's former use. The rooms are cleverly designed to include a walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin. The comfortable bed is king-size, the bedding and towels of very good quality. Our towels were changed after 3 days despite the fact that we were leaving the next day. Rooms are cleaned each day to a very high standard. Breakfast is, amazingly, included in the price and was more than adequate, with fresh orange juice, and a fine selection of things to eat and set you up for the day. Coffee and tea are available throughout the day. We were welcomed by Rosa, who is available all day and very helpful, and met Elena, the owner, who is very hands-on and happy to make suggestions or reservations at restaurants. Really, the most amazing thing about LaNave is not the perfect rooms, lovely service, or even central location - but the price. To find somewhere of such quality and attention to detail at just 69euros a day, in the middle of a European capital city is exceptional. I would recommend LaNave without any hesitation. A real gem, thank you Elena and Rosa!…
This hostel is very near Plaza de Espana which is a park in a busy area close to restaurants, small & big shops, near the Metro station, and only 5 minutes walk to the royal palace plus other attractions. The room rates are very reasonable and offers free breakfast. There are convenience stores in the neighborhood. Service was excellent, the room was clean, and everything that you need in the bathroom was available. They also have free wifi and there's a computer in the lobby that you could use anytime. I would strongly recommend this hostel on your next visit to Madrid, Spain.
The best thing about this hotel (or hostel, not very clear about it) is the central location, less than 5 minutes walking from Plaza de España. It may be a bit difficult to find the first time, and although the passage getting you to the entrance doesn´t look very attractive, we never had any issue, and everything gets much better when you enter into the premises. It looks like and industrial estate completely refurbished for the purpose. Rooms were good size, and toilet and shower too. On top of this everything was clean, the breakfast was included with the booking, and there was a nice common area, with even some outdoor space. The only "buts" were a loose toilet lid that made it difficult to use, and the fact that it was hard to get any sleep after 7am, considering that our room was just in front of the kitchen they use to prepare the breakfast. On top of this, as we were on the lower floor we didn´t have much of a view. Nevertheless it can be useful for your stay in Madrid.…
