This hotel is a good Four Star hotel , or a low grade five Star. Does not live up the Its rating at all. Most of the staff is untrained, Nice and helpful most of them, but not up to the standard I suppose they aim to be. The rooms are really very uncomfortable. Not luxurious at all, but more like a design hotel where Its supposed to appear like quality but isn’t. Bed was very hard. A forgettable stay and better and cheaper hotels in Madrid for sure. They had l’occitane toiletries which is also not my favourite. The front desk manager was up to par, and made the stay better.

We were jet lagged after 13.5 hours of flying, and they were very nice and professional. The hotel is walking distance to everything and they offer great service and assistance. But, the alley they are connected to seems to have druggies hanging outside and being noisy. I wish this could change. But our presidential suite was gorgeous and new, and the service was fantastic if we needed anything.

Dear worldtraveler952015, Thank you very much for your kind review. It was a pleasure to have you with us. I am delighted to read that you enjoyed our Presidential Suite (The largest in Madrid city center with 95m2!) Thank you also for highlighting our location (near the main museums, the main square, etc.) and the exclusive service that you enjoyed. As for the junkies, we are sorry that you came across some. It is not usual to see them on our streets, they were possibly lost! We look forward to welcoming you back in the not too distant future! Kind Regards, Francisco Camello

We stayed in this hotel for just a few nights before the state of emergency was declared in Spain. Besides the fact that the hotel is beautiful and very well located, the reception staff was incredibly supportive when we decided to fly back home two days before our planned departure date. No extra costs charged to us, a suite for my kids at the price of a regular room and all of that with a smile. We will not forget it and will be back.

Dear MSA009, First of all, thank you for taking the time to write your review. It was a true pleasure to serve you, and I am delighted to read that you had a great experience with us. The best solution to the COVID 19 problem required flexibility, and that is what we provided you. Also it was a pleasure to offer you a Suite for your kids, so they could make the most of their very short stay! We hope we will be able to welcome you back in the not too distant future. Kind Regards, Francisco Camello

We started our Spain vacation in Madrid and the Grand Hotel Ingles was an excellent beginning! We were welcomed by a friendly team and escorted to a beautiful room - modern luxury with old world charm (all newly renovated)! The morning breakfast is a great way to start each day - just clarify you paid for two guests / one frustration, but they made up the confusion. Location and vibe were perfect at HGI - hope to return!
