The Hotel Casa Fuster is a result of an impeccable renovation an emblematic modernist building dated of 1908 and projected by the famous architect Lluis Domènech i Montaner. The hotel is located in the city center of Barcelona, with panoramic views to the avenue of Paseo de Gracia and to the city. In addition to the magnificent panoramic terrace and rooftop swimming pool, we dispose of 105 rooms and fine gastronomic offer including high-level Mediterranean cuisine in our Restaurant Galaxó and music sessions at the Jazz Club in the Café Vienés.

Casa Fuster Hotel garners praise for its luxurious ambiance and stylish decor, with many guests enamored by its elegant touches, including aromatherapy and live jazz evenings. Travelers frequently commend the hotel's exceptional service, often noting the staff's commitment to ensuring a memorable stay. The prime location is another highlight, offering easy access to local attractions and shopping.
While the rooms are celebrated for their comfort and amenities, a few guests have mentioned the downside of smaller spaces and traffic noise. Additionally, the hotel's cleanliness and high-end amenities, such as the rooftop bar, contribute to its reputation for providing excellent value, despite some deeming it a bit of a luxury expenditure.

Detailed Reviews
On previous visits to Barcelona we've noticed the Casa Fuster and always wanted to stay there - it doesn't disappoint. If you love the modernista style of the city, the Casa Fuster is one of its most striking buildings, and has been designed and furnished with great colours and minute attention to details. It also has a fabulous roof terrace which was a great place to sit and read, although we were too early in the season for the rooftop bar to be open (room service drinks are available, though).
The staff were universally exceptionally friendly, helpful, welcoming and efficient.
our room was very comfortable and quiet with a view of the Sagrada Familia (although the clocktower chimes in a nearby square started early in the morning!)
Other reviews have mentioned that the bath/shower is a very high step up, and through a narrow gap in the shower screen. It isn't ideal for older travellers with dodgy knees like us! We managed OK, but a little freestanding step in the bathroom would solve the problem and the hotel may take this comment on board if enough guests mention it?
We loved our stay at the Casa Fuster and will certainly return.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the breakfast (a massive buffet with eggs cooked to order) seemed to be completely inflexible at 30 euros each. So if I only wanted coffee and a croissant it was wildly expensive! (the bar drinks are expensive too, but it is a 5* hotel, so you expect that).
Luckily, Gracia, which is a great area, has many little squares with cafes offering really good breakfast menus.
We had a great stay overall- we were so happy we chose to stay here!

We LOVED our stay at Casa Fuster. All the staff members are incredibly welcoming and helpful but we want to give a special shout out to Mario at the front desk who helped us with restaurant recommendations which were all fabulous as well as help with on-line reservations for popular tourist attractions like La Sagrada Familia and the Picasso museum. The housekeepers were always busy tidying up and putting our towels on the towel warmer in the bathroom and arranging things perfectly. The breakfast was to DIE for. The whole experience was first-rate! We'd (my family of 3 including 16 year old so) would HIGHLY recommend Casa Fuster!

We spent three nights at the Casa Fuster, the hotel is in a great location, at the top of the famous shopping street, 3 mins walk to the closest metro and 2 mins walk to the bus stop for the city tours. The hotel is beautifully decorated with the most wonderful bar/lounge area (ground floor). We had the pleasure of breakfast in that room only once as the breakfast is usually downstairs (basement) and, whilst the breakfast is good, having experienced it in the sumptious ground floor area, it was a completely different experience having it in the basement on the following two mornings. There is a rooftop pool and whilst this is a lovely feature, it is very small, about 6m x 3m. The housekeeping/cleaning/turn-down is excellent. My only gripes are .... we had a suite with an extra bed and a sofa .... we requested bedding for the sofa and it was suggested that we take an extra bed instead of someone sleeping on a sofa, however, whilst we weren't being charged for the additional bedding, we were charged an additional €70 per night for someone to wheel the additional bed into our room - we found this very expensive (along with a €30 charge per day for breakfast for a child)! Top tip ... request a room on a higher floor as whilst the blackout blinds do fully cover the window, the curtains don't pull fully across (they are decoration only) so there is a bit of road noise. Whilst the hotel offers an airport transfer serice, it is €90 whereas a taxi at the airport is approximately €30/€40 and they are widely available. Also, the metro runs straight from/to the airport terminals.

We highly appreciate your compliments about housekeeping department, I will be happy to transmit it to them! Regarding the extra bed, please be informed none of our rooms have available a sofa/bed, that is the reason why, my colleagues at the Front desk offered you an extra bed. Impressive historical building situated in a lovely location in Gracia with great views over the city from the terrace on the top of the building.
Nicely decorated with quality materials, and very comfortable bed.
The Deluxe Double Room we had was cramped, the tv set, instead of being put on a wall to save space, was put on a table that partially blocked the corridor to the bathroom.
The shower was located in the bath tub.
The sliding door to the bathroom did not close properly – a triumph of style over the usefulness.
Even in a proper sized room or apartment, the door to the bathroom should close, nevertheless in a hotel where “Deluxe” means small. I hated the fact that the toiled noise could be heard in the room.
We stayed here 5 nights and the service was so and so. One day they forgot to make the bed and they only did it late in the afternoon after I mentioned the fact to the receptionist, and on another day, they forgot to replenish the shampoo.
The breakfast has a very limited range, more in tune with a two-star hotel. Only its price was at a five stars level.
Being a Hotel.com Gold member, we were promised a free bottle of sparkling wine at the booking. It did not happen.

We also stayed here during a trip in 2010 and were so impressed decided to stay for a two day visit in October 2021. We were able to get into our room as an early arrival which was greatly appreciated. During our stay we made use of both the rooftop bar with its awesome view as well as the lobby bar. We decided to eat at the breakfast buffet one of the mornings as a matter of convenience and though the setting and food was good neither of us eat much early so that made it a bit expensive for what we ate. The hotel is kept spotless and we both agreed they do something to make it smell so nice in the public areas.

I was told & read about how great Hotel Casa Fuster is, so I booked 3 nights during my stay in Barcelona with family. The location was wonderful and the architecture is gorgeous, however my hotel room didn’t have a functional shower. The handheld shower head wouldn’t stay in its handle & kept falling, it was difficult to shampoo ect. We were switched to another room & that shower didn’t have a drain that worked. We were showering in a full bathtub, which is disgusting. Most hotels offer at the bare minimum is a functional shower, let alone a 5 star luxury establishment like Hotel Casa Fuster. The staff was friendly but not helpful. I was told they couldn’t do anything but the manager had been informed & will make the situation right. However, nothing happened. The manager just expressed his confusion of why the showers weren’t working properly. I didn’t understand what he wanted me to say. His own staff came into the room & saw the malfunction of the in one room shower and then the drain in another. My entire hotel stay was very disappointing for my family & I.

After 2 years in town, I wanted to discover the Cafe Viennes Thursday night jazz session. So it was a date with the wifey, I booked a first row table and we headed to the venue.
The staff welcome was spot on and we delighted to start our dinner with champagne in a truly gorgeous setting.
But unfortunately, everything went downhill from there.
First, the waiters were not very on hand to refilled our glasses, but that is a minor inconvenience easily forgotten.
Our lobster starter was underwhelming, being utterly bland and tasteless.
What surprised me even more was that no one asked us how we wanted our meat cooked, so we ended up with well done pieces, lacking both salt and pepper.
But the last nail in the coffin was the music selection for this jazz night which was supposed to celebrate the 650th performance in the venue.
The genre was clearly boogie-woogie and sometimes old rock, a rather loud and repetitive affair very dissimilar to anything in a repertoire of jazz standards.
We felt misled and fooled, so soon as the band took their break, we left the place. We did not finish our drinks, we had not had iur dessert, but the staff never inquired about our abrupt departure.
I guess they could not care less.
With so many great live music venues in town, I regret to say that Cafe Viennes did not deserve the 100€ charge per person and the time wasted that night.

Dear yanisj, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your opinion with us. We appreciate hearing our customers' comments because they are essential to continue improving our service. We are very sorry that our jazz concert did not exceeded your expectations, being a popular event in the city and is usually a very successful one. Allow me to inform you that this venue has seen the likes of many famous jazz artists such as Woody Allen and his clarinet, the Yoshida Brothers, Eddy Davis, The New Orleans Rag Trio, and The Barcelona Swing Serenaders. Therefore; the band who played last Thursday, Wax & Boogie trio, closely matches the requirements for an excellent jazz band. In addition, one of our basic standards is to always ask the desired doneness of the meat, so we know that the day you attended, the preferences of all our customers were correctly noted. We appreciate the time you took to share your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the future. Sincerely, Nuria Tusell - Guest Relations

I've spent a wonderful afternoon at Casa Fuster, while having a short break from work. The hotel looks beautiful, the architecture is impressive (it was in fact the initial reason why I decided to book there, as I was enchanted by the view when I passed by the hotel a few days before), the staff is nice and attentive.
I've booked a Senior Suite (room 308) with an addition of body massage, welcome pastry, fruit basket and a bottle of cava. The massage time was scheduled over the phone, although the masseuse arrived late at the appointment. But the treatment was worth the wait!
The room was on the 3rd floor: it is spacious, with an amazing view over Passeig de Gracia. It has a lounge with coffee/tea facilities, tv, minibar, safe (although there is a note specifying that the hotel is not responsible of anything left in the room safe, so any valuables would better be stored at the reception safe, providing a list of the items).
The bedroom is separated from the lounge by a double sliding door, so it is in complete privacy. The Senior Suite has also a private sauna, a spa bath and a dressing room with a 3-way mirror.
I enjoyed the rooftop terrace and the hotel gym, which receives a lot of sunlight thanks to its location right at the top of the building.
During my stay at Casa Fuster, I also ordered room service: my meal was consisting of minestrone, pasta with Neapolitan sauce and crema catalana.
The pasta was cold despite being covered by the dome cover, and didn't taste good (it was very dry, not enough sauce with it) but I liked the minestrone and absolutely loved the crema catalana.
Also, I did not have breakfast at the hotel so I can't comment on that.
In conclusion, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who loves luxury and architecture : Casa Fuster will definitely feel like home!

We recently spent a week at Casa Fuster to celebrate our anniversary and I'm so happy I chose this hotel. It came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. The property itself is lovely but the service was absolutely impeccable.
I was debating about getting a suite just so my hubby could have his own sauna but I had so many guides hired for the week that I didn't think we'd be spending much time in the room so I opted for a Jr. Suite instead and it was more than enough, a lovely room with a view of the Passeig de Gracia. I've become very fussy about bathrooms and, in addition to the closet area and sitting area and bedroom, this had a wonderful split bathroom with both a great shower and a separate whirlpool tub. The decor of the hotel is in keeping with an elegant and understated modernista style which reminds you that it was originally designed by Domanech i Montaner (often considered the father of modernism) for a wealthy man to gift his wife. (sets the bar pretty high, huh?) The building itself is now a National Monument and everything about it felt "rich" and elegant and artistic. And it was all kept spotlessly clean.
It's in an amazing neighborhood. We're from Manhattan and it reminded me of Fifth Avenue. You'll love walking around here and it's close to some of the most amazing and popular sights like Casa Mila and Casa Battlo. The neighborhood has lots of great restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and you'll feel safe walking around.
But, as I stated before, what really makes this property special is the fantastic, efficient and also warm and friendly service. The people working there could not have been nicer or made us feel any more welcome from the doormen to the concierge desk and the bellmen and the waitresses, etc. I found everyone so wonderful I'm afraid I can't even mention all the names because there are too many but I do have to mention a few. Javier Notaro of guest relations was recommending restaurants and making reservations for us even before we arrived. Rodolfo was so kind as to gift me with a jazz cd to remind us of our jazz night at Cafe Vienes (it was fun, check it out) and never hesitated to chat with me, Marc at the concierge desk printed out maps for us so we wouldn't get lost trying to find our restaurants and so on. The waitresses were giving me, at my request, language lessons at breakfast. Even one of the doormen gave me an origami flower for my hair. They all went above and beyond just good service and put in extra effort to make you feel special. Truly, I wish I could mention everyone because they were all amazing.
Breakfasts were included for us and they were wonderful - a buffet with everything you could think of and also things like eggs and pancakes made to order. We ate at Cafe Vienes on the jazz night and also on our last night at the hotel when I tried the Beef Girona (and a vol-au-vent) that was delicious. Nightcaps at the roof bar are a must on a nice night. Don't hesitate. The hotel is worth every penny.

Stunning hotel with excellent customer service, amazing location, and beautiful rooms. So close to all of the best shopping.
We stayed in a family suite with two adjoining rooms and it was perfect for us with two adults and two teenagers. We only stayed on night, but wish we had stayed here longer. The service was top-notch as expected for this type of hotel, but they really were so delightful and went above and beyond with attention to detail. My step daughter dropped her earring down the sink by accident and we alerted the front desk in the off chance they could retrieve it. When we got back to the hotel that evening the front desk had the earring in an envelope waiting for her, she was so relieved and appreciative. I personally could not have been more delighted to end our trip to Spain by soaking in their stunning grand bath tub and enjoying the hotel's room service Aperol Spritzes with the surprise bowl of gummy bears that they brought to accompany my drinks. 15/10 would stay here if I get the chance to come back!

Only a 15-20 minute cab ride. And just take a taxi. Don't worry about Uber. Taxis are everywhere and you can use a credit card. When asked, say you want to pay in Euros on your credit card. Your bank can then control the exchange rate better.
We were flying to France so I did not inquire. Email them. They are very helpful.
I do not think so, however, there is a wonderful terrace overlooking Passeig de Gràcia, where smoking is allowed
