Barrio Gòtico (Barri Gòtic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

excellent clean well equipped room. Good security. Value for money and also in a good location for restaurants and exploring the old gothic city on foot. You can also walk to the sea and the yacht marina in about 15 minutes

This hotel is one minute walk from the Rambla. The rooms are clean and spacious. The neighborhood seems a bit quaint with a sex shop around the corner, but still it’s location is great. One negative point is that the walls seems to be of paper as the sounds coming from

I have spent 43 years travelling and in all honesty this is the worst hotel I have stayed in $ for $. Zero service, front desk lazy and rude. Terrible rooms. Small no A/c, my window opened on to a light well so no fresh air. Terrible old beds and bedding and no blankets.

Is there a kettle and cups to make tea or coffee in the rooms
Hi. There are no cofffee/tea facilities in the room but there are a lot of lovely cafes just around the corner. It's a lovely hotel - you will love it and the position is great

Hi. If you are coming in by plane the taxi from the airport is expensive. If you are keen there is a aerobus for about 6 euro from the airport which drops you off at the square at the top of Las Rambla - Plaça de Catalunya square and you can walk, it's about 10 - 15 min (you can google map the directions and distance. It's a fantastic walk which we did everyday anyway full of life and always busy. Enjoy your trip you will love it.
