Barrio Gòtico (Barri Gòtic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 knights. Great location. Room is adequate for 2 people. Modern bathroom with bathtub and shower. Hotel and room are very clean with helpful staff. My son and my mother had a breakfast in the hotel and didn’t like it. You can find much better and

Stayed here and it was really good. It’s in the heart of Barcelona in Las Ramplas district but right at the top. Staff were so helpful and friendly throughout. Place is very clean and our room great and quite modern compared to our friends whose room was an older style, both

Great hotel for a weekend stay. Outstanding location, clean and very helpful staff. I would definitely stay there again. Although the hotel is located in a busy area it was peaceful after midnight. On arrival staff telephoned my room and asked if everything was ok, nice touch.

Sorry, I'm just seeing this post. The Hotel is only 2-3 blocks from Placa de Catalunya which is a major hub for buses, taxis, and Metro. I'm sure you can get anywhere easily from there. It seemed like people everywhere where able to speak enough English to answer any questions we had.

You can take the aerobus (shuttle every 15 minutes) until Plaza de Cataluña. Then a short 5 minutes walk to reach the hotel. Cost is around 6 Euros per person and it takes more or less 45 minutes. If you are carrying several pieces of luggage, take a special care of them; be careful with pickpockets also.

Does the staff speak english?
Very good english, just not too interested in speaking to patrons. For example they wouldn't be bothered to call us a taxi when we were leaving.
