Value
Minimalist design in a little lodging like a bed&breakfast restored by arquitects in a private flat, in a neoclassic style building, situated in the hearth of the Gothic quarter, closed to the cathedral in the old centre of Barcelona. All the rooms have private bathroom You could admire bulidings such as Palau de la Musica, Santa Maria del Mar church in the Born quarter or visit the Picasso's museum at 5 minutes on foot. Walk and "get lost" by the narrow and antique streets and discover marvellous places of this city and get to Las Ramblas or Barcelona beaches, 10 minutes on foot. We suggest to those traveling with children to visit Ciutadella's park, the Zoo and the Aquarium. You can arrive there walking by pedestrian streets. Straight transport from Barcelona and Girona airports to our lodging. Suite-apartment for 2-3 p. Apartment for 4-5 p. with a private kitchenette and bathroom. Rooms with a private bathroom. Wooden floors, air conditioning. Bed linen and towels. Common area for breakfast, resting and reading. Free Wifi.

Me and my boyfriend, we have stayed there in May this year for 4 nights. The location of this Bed&Breakfast is perfect! The metro station is very close to the building. There you will be meet by Olga- a very nice and smiling lady, who speeks english, french, catalan and spanish. She is very helpfull and the place is really nice!!
There is a shared room where you will find every morning some cakes, coffe, kettle to prepare tea and all other stuff to cook. In this room there is a computer with internet and also there is a Wi-Fi available in the hole appartment.
Every room has a private bathroom and WC, TV, air-conditioning.
Everything is as it looks at the photos!
We had a wonderful stay in the studio, where ther is a cooker, a fridge, some pots, microwave oven, a little table to work, sofa and a comfortable double bed.
Also in the shared room you will find all types of maps and books for Barcelona.
You have your personal keys and you are free to come and go out when you want.
Via Laietana looks a noisy place but inside the room it's very quiet and there is no problem to sleep.
I recommend this place to everyone who wants to visit Barca and feel like home :)

I just had a great stay at this cute B&B! Perfect for what we needed- inexpensive, clean and in a good location! My only suggestion would be to bring your own towels. They don't replace them (they do for 15 euro but I thought that was a bit steep) and they didn't try very quickly so they stayed pretty damp and stinky for our stay. Otherwise, wonderful experience and the owner is very nice and accommodating! Would definitely go back!

The breakfast is basic in the sense that everything is there, but you have to prepare it yourself. The advantage is that you can have your breakfast whenever you want.
For the rest: excellent location, very clean kitchen and room and friendly landlord.
The metro is a few meters away and several attractions are at walking distance.
I recommend it and I would not hesitate to go back.

My husband and I stayed at Casameva for 2 days in May and we had a great time. The bed and breakfast is in the middle of the action. a few blocks from Plaza Cataluya, Gothic neighborhood and steps from the Cathedral. The room was small but enough for the two of us and we had our own private room and wi fi which was important for us. We party for the two nights and came back really late at night but we felt super safe. Olga and her family live right next to the place and she was available in case we needed something. Olga told us where to go and what to do since we had limited time to spend and it work out perfect. Olga speaks really good English so that helps a lot.

I moved to Casameva from a week long corporate event in a 5* hotel. The night before check-out, around 3AM, I had to call guest services to replenish liquid soap in my stylish bathroom, which they readily did, with plenty of apologies. Olga y Manuel do not maintain 24h reception and round-the-clock room service. But then, they do not really need one: the bathroom and the kitchen in their B&B never run out of supplies; the milk is fresh; the floors and tiles are impeccably clean (the establishment past our cleanliness test as I looked for mold in those hard to reach corners and did not find any!); the linen is perfumed with lavender softener. Casameva rooms are all situated on the quiet, inner side of the building, which thus becomes an oasis of peace in the middle of the most crowded, most interesting, and most sought for neighborhood in Barcelona - Gothic Quarter. Most importantly, the landlords - your friendly hosts - pay much attention to security. Your family and your property are well protected behind 5 (five!) doors, of which 2 are controlled by double-blind electronic key-lock! We warmly recommend Casameva. We will certainly return to Olga and Manuel's guesthouse!

Together with a friend, I stayed at Casemeva in the apartment for 6 nights in September. Via Laietana is a busy street, but the apartment is at the rear of the building, which meant very quiet nights. I don't know whether all rooms are quiet, but ours was. The location is excellent: between El Born and El Raval, two lively neighbourhoods, 15 minutes on foot to the beach, 2 minutes from the subway, a block away from the Mercat de Santa Catarina, a marketplace which boasts the freshest food imaginable. As mentioned in the other reviews, the apartment was well-equipped (AC, TV, fridge, desk ...) and spotlessly clean. The only small downside was breakfast, which was nothing fancy, but we didn't really mind because we knew this in advance. Good WiFi! There is a computer in the common room as well. Would definitely recommend!

We were at Casameva for 10 days we had a magnificent time. The location is in the right spot we would do some sightseeing and then we could go nap then go back and sightsee more. Wonderful restaurants down the small alleys, Olga and Manuel were very helpful, listen to her recommendations, it made our trip better :) We had a great time and plan to visit again

Good price/quality b&b at walking distance of historical centre (cathedral, ramblas, la ribera, Born), close to metro station, 5 min walk from/to placa Catalunya (bus transport from/to airport). Rooms at the back of the building, so no street noise. Welcome was warm and helpfull. Checkout correct. Breakfast was self service (chocolat croissants, toast, jam, cheese spread, corn flakes etc.)

Very nice location in the middle of the city, very quiet as it is not facing Laietana. The bed was perfect as well. The walls to the neibhour rooms are a little bit thin. The breakfast is very nice and sufficient. For our one week trip to Barcelona it was perfect.
