Comfortable, clean and unassuming. A good value. · Nice lady runs the place, it was very clean and comfortable. A good location, right near the Evolution museum. Still an easy walk to the old town across the river, and an easy walk to the bus station. On a commercial street that is busy in daytime, but very quiet at night. · My room was one flight of stairs from the little lobby and cafe and noise from conversations carried right through my closed door, noise from the bathroom adjacent was very loud also. One other issue, I paid and signed, later saw from my receipt that the charge was more than the euro amount on my Booking.com confirmation. Just a few more euro per night, but over three nights it added up. I wish I had caught it when I paid, between language issues and the niceness of the Landlady I let it go. But I will be more on top of it when I pay at my other hotels.

Nothing special, but nothing bad either. Reasonably clean room, with a private bathroom and good WiFi. Didn’t try the breakfast, but I think only coffee and toast are available. No complaints, but I probably wouldn’t stay again.

I really liked their location, it's not far from the city centre. There is a supermarket just across the road. Wifi works well, there is an aircon in the room. This accomodation is not exactly a hostel. As far as I understood, there is a family living there on the ground floor, they have this small bar, and some rooms upstairs. The first inconvenience starts when they don't provide you a key to open the main door, so you will be fully dependent on their timetable. So, you have to wait for someone to let you out in the morning or let you in in the evening. On the weekend they work until 12-1 am, that means that if you come back later the door will be closed and you will have to ring the bell (the lady seems to be angry because of it). For me it was a problem as I am a smoker and I tried to obey the house rules not to smoke inside, so I went outside (there is no bin near this place, it was unexpected, usually the cafes have a bin next to the entrance). But on the weekend when I went to smoke at 1.30 am everything was already closed, the lady come, let me out, then let me in and started to tell me something angrily (I don't speak Spanish). Excuse me, I don't want to disturb anyone, so why don't you just provide your guests with the keys? Why do I pay money to have a rest, obey the rules of the house, and at the end have to feel guilty because I just wanted to smoke late? The room could be described as spartan. It's very small, there is a bed, a tiny desk, an inbuilt wardrobe, and that's it. The sheets and blankets are a bit worn out, but clean. There is only one socket in the room. Yes, there is an aircon in the room, but you cannot turn it on. You have to go downstairs and ask a lady or a guy working there to turn the aircon on. Strange. The audibility is very high. I could hear everything going on in the house. BEWARE OF THE CAT! I'm OK with cats, but some people are allergic to cats, and this cat is not mentioned anywhere. Owners have to warn their guests on site that there is a cat in the house. The staff are mainly helpful, but the lady looked very grumpy, probably she was angry that she had to get up to open me a door and hated me afterwards, but it's your job. If you don't let people go out\in when they want be ready to let them out\in when they want. I think that the price (113 euro\3 nights) for a single room with no breakfast, non-refundible, genius-offer is too high for this offer. And no way I would pay the full price.

We walked in off the street to an incredible surprise! Jenni was so sweet, the sheets so welcoming for my post jet lag nap, everything was sparking clean and breakfast was warm and yummy. Location was perfect and price was right! Would have happily stayed many nights!

We had to spend three nights here as my wife required a health break from the Camino. From the bus station turn right out the doors. Walk about 7 blocks passing there indoor meat and cheese market. Next block has a Supermercado. Continue to your hostal passing Hotel Evolution. Now the people there were very helpful. The place clean well kept with good internet. We booked two nights through booking.com. The third night I negotiated a better price. Oh yeah there was a helpful pharmacy that spoke English right across the street.
