I loved just about everything about this hotel except the wifi which was nothing short of appalling and unacceptable in this age. It was as slow as dial up and so bad that some standard websites would not open. That aside this is a super hotel and extremely reasonably priced. It is a new or recently refurbished building just behind the Museum of Human Evolution and very convenient to the old city. At check in the receptionist was charming and helpful. Later he printed a page for me at no charge. My room was right at the top of the building on the 5th floor with 2 large skylights in place of windows. The room was a reasonable size with double bed and desk. There was also a small fridge and a safe inside the closet. The bathroom was fairly small with a cramped shower stall but lots of good hot water to make up for that. I stayed 2 nights and the room was serviced between them which is unusual but welcome in this coronavirus time. There had been a significant cold snap so the heating was turned on and it was not possible to use A/C to cool the room down. However, opening the skylight a bit worked a treat. The hotel cafe is obviously well loved based on patronage and when I had breakfast there it was good and very reasonably priced. Overall, this hotel has much to recommend it but the terrible wifi would keep me from a repeat stay.

We stayed for one night on a journey to Almeria. What a great find. Was checked in by Cassie, well she was amazing; spoke fluent English, gave advise on restaurants and seemed to be working everywhere! a tremendous and friendly member of staff. Parking was secure in an area nearby and the hotel is central to everything. The room was superb far better than it looked on the internet and even had a separate lounge. The icing on the cake was they even give you a free small bottle of red wine. Will definitely be returning to this little gem.

Absolutely fantastic staff: very capable and extremely friendly - couldn't have been more helpful. Attached bar is superb and used a lot by locals. Delicious food and drink and extremely good value. Bedroom was excellent size and had all the crucial qualities: good temperature, genuinely quiet and very comfortable bed and pillows. I couldn't recommend this place enough and will be going back with my family when the opportunity comes.
