I am walking the Camino de Santiago (Frances) with my friend. We stayed in a private apartment on the 5th floor with 2 bedrooms and a private bathroom and kitchen for 1 night on Oct 2. The beds were very comfortable and we had one of the best sleeps of our trip so far. It was very homey after many nights spent in shared dormitories with shared bathrooms. My friend snores - as do many pilgrims in the shared dorms - and it was nice to have my own room. I had a peaceful, blissful sleep for the second time in 16 days. The apartment is filled with light, thanks to 3 skylights, and the full moon shone through the skylight in my room all night - it was magical. Just a few minutes walk from the cathedral, right in centro historico, a few steps from the plaza mayor. There is a great tapas bar on site at street level and we were able to make breakfast in our apartment before we left for the Camino the next morning. I highly recommend this wonderful albergue. This felt like an apartment I could happily live in! A worthwhile splurge.

We stayed here for one night having driven from Calais. If in a car, put'Parking Plaza Mayor' in the satnav, this will take you directly to the centre of the city, to the car park that is below Plaza Mayor, when parked, you will exit in the Plaza, the hostel is around a 1 minute walk. Remember to tell the hostels reception if you have a car as they have a rate of 12 Euro/night when you pay at the hostel. Visit the bar or reception, most helpful guy, he will give you the key for the room and outside door. There is a lift as the building is 5 floors. We were on the top floor in a double room. Virtually silent at night with the window open. Very good shower, very clean. Did not have breakfast as we were up too early, but cafe opposite the cathedral is open at 07:00.Will definitely stay again.Great value for money.

My family (wife and daughter) stayed in a triple room at the Hostal Rimbombin on our recent trip to Burgos. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The location is excellent and right in the main square, but still extremely quiet. The cost can’t be beat and the beds were one of the most comfortable in our 2 weeks in Spain. It’s not a hotel with any type of service or concierge, and only a small check in desk. If you’re looking for fancy, this may not be for you. However, if you are looking for a space that is comfortable, clean, and budget friendly, do not hesitate to book. Will 100% be back on our next trip to Burgos.

The room was very nice , clean and comfortable with a very nice bathroom. Staff was very friendly and also on the ground floor they have a tapas bar you can eat or do breakfast in the morning Is for sure the best Hostel I was in my Camino !!!

I made a booking with thi hostel a month ago. I had to cancel my booking and spoke with the booking.com people who were very proffessional and said that due to the reason for my cancellation they would not charge me and would contact the hotel to ask them to wave the fee. The lady comes back on the phone and says a very firm man said no too bad. She advised me to call them so I did and true enough a very firm man could not care less and blamed booking saying it was booking charging me,not them. Typical unproffessional manager blaming someone else just to keep the money.
