We had an excellent stay at this beautiful boutique hotel in old town, Palma. Great location, less than 10 min walk to the cathedral and waterfront, the airport bus (Bus #1) stops just 5 mins away (frequency is every 15 mins), so it is a convenient option to reach the hotel from the airport. The staff at the front desk is super friendly - we were greeted by Antonia on the first day who helped make the check in very smooth., thank you Antonia and everyone at the front desk. The hotel used to be a palace which has been beautifully renovated. The club room on the 2nd floor is gorgeous and not to be missed. The staff very kindly made a spa appointment and we loved that it was private. Overall great stay and would highly recommend

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for a week for our 30th anniversary. From the moment we arrived, the wonderful staff (Laura, Lluís, Rocío and the whole team) were so welcoming, friendly, hospitable. We mentioned it was our anniversary when we were checking in...little did we know, Laura distracted us downstairs for an extra 10 minutes while Rocío raced upstairs and quickly arranged flowers, chocolate cake and strawberries and a chilling bottle of Cava on the table in our room. So sweet and totally delightful!! It was such a treat for us, but it was obvoius that they also take great pride and extra details like this.

We had a rental car and they made it so easy. We would just pull up, someone from the front desk would come out and park it. If we needed the car, we just gave them 5-10 minutes' notice. They helped us with advice about which towns to go to, above and beyond the plans we already had. Every time we walked in or out, they greeted us. Truly, it was so relaxing.

The room had lots of closet space and a well-designed, small hallway off the main room with a separate toilet, shower, vanity and closet, so it was easy to get ready at the same time or be able to use the sink when someone else was showering, etc.

The hotel is beautiful, spotless and the location is wonderful. We cannot recommend it highly enough and we would give anything to be back there right now. Just writing this review makes me miss it terribly!!

We've been to Palma many times and stayed at various hotels so we thought we would try this hotel due to it's great reviews and location. We stayed for 5 days. The hotel is in a great location in the old town within easy reach of great bars, restaurants and shops. All of the staff are super friendly and they even managed to book us into a great restaurant on Valentines Day at short notice (thanks Emma!).
The breakfast is excellent with everything you could ever want, (including cava) and they do a particularly good eggs benedict. There's also a wide selection of breads, cheese, ham, salmon etc.
We were upgraded to a room on the first floor (101) which was large, although the bathroom/wardrobe area was a little tight. There was a Nespresso machine with water and pods provided daily. There were also good toiletries provided daily and a hairdryer and hair straighteners in the room. The bedsheets were changed daily and they also provided a nightly turn down service. The towels were changed twice a day.
The only reason we haven't given a 5* review isn't actually due to the hotel, but the fact that there's a school/college next door which means you have loads a schoolchildren queuing to get in at 8am right outside your window(s). They aren't quiet. If you go out of term time I assume this wouldn't be an issue. Also, and I'm assuming it's because where our room was, the local residents/shops bins are collected (loudly) around 2.30am every day. That said, I'm pretty sure if you had a room on a higher floor or not facing the street, you would be oblivious to it. We could have asked to move to a quieter room, but as we were only there for a short time, we didn't feel the need.
There's a rooftop area with a small pool and also a spa where you need to book your time slot for (I guess for privacy reasons) but we didn't use either on this trip.
Overall a brilliant hotel with friendly/helpful staff who make you very welcome and we would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Summum Hotel in the centre of Palma for 7 nights and whilst the hotel was in a great quiet location and beautifully styled it was lacking in some fundamental things that were expected for such a highly rated hotel. The restaurant was not open and you could sit at the bar/veranda but it wasn't officially open. You could order drinks via phone or reception and they would bring them to you but as a result there was no atmosphere or buzz about the reception area of the hotel. The room was very small and had an odd configuration with the mini bar/coffee area inside the wardrobe in the bathroom area of the room. The bed was very hard for our liking and despite asking for a mattress topper o two nights, we still found ourselves struggling to be comfortable. There is a sun deck on the roof with a tiny cold water pool (sufficient to cool off) and 4 sun beds. The system of booking a 1 hour slot to use this area exclusively was awkward and unaccommodating. We tried to book every day but were regularly asked to leave after 50 mins as there was another guest wanting to use the area. If you had used the deck for one hour, precedence for subsequent hours went to other guests. It was most unrelaxing and it felt like you were being punished when asked to leave for the next guests. Such a ridiculous system which left no one feeling like they were staying in a 5+ luxurious hotel. Breakfast was unremarkable and had a very limited choice for a gluten intolerance. Such a shame that overall it fell short as they have paid so much attention in making this residence beautiful that simple things could have been done to make the service as amazing.

Dear Mrs Last. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're glad to hear that you appreciated our quiet location and beautiful style. We apologise for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay. Our bar area is indeed open, but we understand that the atmosphere may not have been as lively as you expected. Furthermore, we regret to hear that you found the bed too hard and that the mattress topper we installed as soon as you mentioned it didn't meet your expectations, we have made a note of your comment for future consideration. As for the rooftop sun deck and pool, we have implemented a booking system to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests. We apologise if this system felt unaccommodating, Moreover, we're sorry to hear that our breakfast options were not all suitable for your dietary requirements. We offer a variety of fresh and local products, and we will work on improving our offerings for guests with dietary restrictions. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future for an improved experience. Kind regards, Pedro Santos, General Manager

Would highly recommend a stay at this hotel located in a quiet side street whilst very central to get to most areas of the city….10 min walk!

We were 5 friends with a room each, all of which were unique. Some rooms larger than others but smaller ones had private secluded sun area or larger shower. From the moment we arrived and throughout, we had excellent service. Special touch on arrival. Check in was effortless, being done on our behalf and whilst we were being assisted by Pedro to understand our location and how to get about etc our luggage disappeared and only seen again when we were escorted to our rooms.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Hats off to the cleaning team also who kept the rooms clean and perfect throughout the day. Turndown service a nice touch.

The spa and roof terrace can be booked for private use. What a lovely space and love the ability for private use.

Breakfast was first class. Everything you could wish for with quality produce.

The team even made the checkout an experience. Taxis ordered, luggage taken care of and waved off my Pedro and the team.

Would highly recommend.

Have you ever wanted to find the best hotel in the city BEFORE it is discovered by hordes of tourist. Here it is.

This is a amazing hotel that my wife and I found through American Express. It is a century+ old manor house turned hotel just two years ago. Completely new and first class. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. From the manager to the front desk to the restaurant staff and the housekeeping staff - all were welcoming and generous.

Don't miss the restaurant, built in the historic location of the horse stable, Equus is an wonderful dinning experience at half the price of the high end restaurants with better service. The lamb and the tenderloin were to die for - even for a couple from Texas. My only critique would be to encourage them to grow the wine list.

Plan you vacation around a stay at the Summum Prime!

Sincerely.

We’ve just returned from a two night break at this hotel. From the moment we arrived to the minute we left the service and quality of the hotel was impeccable. Rocio on reception really made us feel at home with cava on arrival, luggage taken to our suite, and a map with some places to visit all marked out. Plus a follow up email with ideas for food and drinks. What a great first impression! The room was luxurious, with the softest bedding, Chopard toiletries, GHD hair tools, evening water and turndown all part of the service. The hotel is a former palace, it has been stylishly renovated to an exquisite hotel with a boutique vibe. In the ground floor -1 there is a lovely mini sauna and jacuzzi room, which we were able to exclusively use for an hour as part of our stay. We were spoilt for choice with the food options close to the hotel. We ate at AMA which had fantastic contemporary tapas dishes, and The Merchant, an upmarket steak and seafood restaurant. The food scene in Palma is really good. As are the shops! The hotel is just minutes from the main shopping area, I was really spoilt for choice. There is a lovely little bar called Glops just around the corner from the hotel which we really enjoyed too. We will be back!!!

Very lovely hotel with amazing staff. All of them were super helpful especially the reception area - both day and night shifts. Lara helped us to sort out issues and provided very good recommendations of the restaurant.

The lobby area is beautifully designed. We arrived and being welcome a drink which we just relax immediately in the beautiful setting.

The room was great and housekeeping doing a good job. They are new so modern set up.

The breakfast was ok.

I would recommend for the hotel to switch to refillable shower gel and shampoo for more sustainable instead of tiny bottles. There are not many English speaking television channels.

I don’t think the hotel is big but good choice to walk around old town where this hotel is just slightly away from the hustles and bustles.

An outstanding hotel situated in central Palma which served as a fantastic venue to catch up with my best friend after months apart!

Both the beautiful building and lovely staff make this hotel the complete package. Nothing was too much for the lovely reception team, who warmly welcomed us and helped with recommendations for the local area. Even little things such as the room cleaning tailored around our breakfast excursions was helpful, so we were never waiting around for our room to be cleaned.

Accessing the amenities (spa, rooftop sunbed/pool), even at short notice, was straightforward. The spa is relaxing, clean and serves as a great hangover cure!

I cannot recommend this place enough if you would love to stay in the heart of Palma. We will certainly be back.

There is a small area with 4 sun beds so in May they were still booking them on an hourly basis. We confirmed our times before we arrived. There were a lot of American tourists staying who didn’t use the rooftop so we managed an hour each day of our stay. The small hot tub was appreciated after a lot of walking around too!
