The modern airport hotel is located at Gateway Gardens, only a short walk from Terminal 2. The entire hotel down to the 168 rooms is playfully themed "The Golden Age of Travel". An overnight stay at the airport has never been cheaper. Our rooms are professionally cleaned and disinfected before every arrival. Please note: with our initiative "Mindful by nature" your room is only being cleaned upon request during your stay. If you wish to have your room cleaned, simply let us know at reception. Extremely lovely hotel. About 1.5 km from airport. Free shuttle service from airport. Neat and tidy. Although rooms are small, it is quite comfortable. Rates are reasonable. Option of breakfast is offered at a reasonable charge. Shuttle service provided to airport at a reasonable rate. However this is not throughout the day.

Good value, quiet and comfortable. Good shuttle service and decent continental breakfast. Great for our family of 4 for overnight following tiring long flight to Europe. Would stay there again if needing an airport hotel near FRA.

Very basic room, close to the airport. The breakfast buffet is just okay. If it hadn't been included in our price, I'd have just gotten something better at the airport. When we arrived at the airport, we tried calling to ask about the shuttle service, but the phone just rang and rang and no one answered. The room is very small, not particularly well-organized. The bathroom is tiny, with the toilet wedged in between the wall and the shower wall, and a huge toilet paper dispenser to contend with in the dark in the night. Not great. Plus it is a HUGE step up/down into the shower stall. The sheets, towels and duvet cover all had significant holes in them. And the heating/cooling system wasn't working properly. As we were checking in, some drunk old dude started verbally harassing us for wearing masks - we'd just come off a plane full of very sick people who were largely not masked - so you're welcome for us trying to keep ourselves and others safe. Mind your guests, please. …

Is it a hotel? Perhaps it’s suppose to be a bit of both but what really matters is that it’s comfortable, safe, and damn close to the airport as well as trains to get to the city. Not where I’d suggest for fun community vibes like some of their other properties or a great after meeting bar to see people mingling at but the staff is wonderful, there’s enough of a lobby to hang out for a bit and move on. My room was perfect for the usual prices. Not particularly big but a nice bed, enough space to put things without having to climb over them (and I’m not small), outlets all over. Bathroom was pretty tiny but well done, other than the basic towels. There’s not a lot right by the place. An Italian restaurant I strongly suggest, a grocery store, a little bar downstairs and they do a nice breakfast buffet in the morning.…

Pros: breakfast buffet was great! So much variety, delicious fresh baked goods, large variety coffee maker and sparkling wine ! Staff was very friendly a s helpful. Rooms are adequate and hotel seemed to be clean. Very quiet though next to airport. Cons: Had to go to a supermarket just to get something to drink. Vending machine has sweets but nothing to drink. Beds were unbearably uncomfortable.

Close to airport very functional nice beds small room but clean everytjing as expected for the price and staff wrre easy to speak to and provided aswers where required. Breakfast was an option again very Germam and basic we tried first dqy then ate away from the hotel

Despite almost daily emails reminding me of my upcoming reservation, there was no mention made that the hotel no longer has an airport shuttle ( as it had the last time I visited ). I ended up standing more than an hour by the hotel shuttles sign at the airport that still lists the Meininger. The taxi between the airport and the hotel costs just over ten Euros. It would be important to include this twenty Euro cost when comparing room rates at other airport hotels. Also, because the rooms have no telephone, it was not possible to receive a wake-up call in the morning. This was an unsatisfactory experience.

I booked a antigent test at the airport so I had to stay close to the airport. But for whatever reason you need to stay here I would not recommend their dorms rooms. The dorm room I stayed was very cramped: It should be a 4-bed dorm instead of 6. And people coming and going at all time during the night and early morning so it was impossible to sleep unless you are those kind that could fall asleep under any circumstance.

We asked if a service was possible on check-in twice, once before arriving at the hotel over the phone and the other upon check-in. Both times we were informed that this was possible, so we went ahead with the booking. Had they told us this service was not possible, we would have gone to a different hotel. Once the booking was confirmed, they had taken our payment and we had checked in, they suddenly told us the service was not possible. They completely misinformed us on multiple occasions before we paid and then, once payment had been made, told us the service was not possible. The man on reception could not give any explanation as to why we were misinformed and offered nothing but a half-arsed "sorry, it's not possible." As somebody that works in hospitality, I know how easy it is to provide a good service to guests - unfortunately this seems far beyond the capabilities of the staff at this hotel.…

I stayed here a night during corona period until I catch my flight. Reception girl was very friend, helpful and pleasant looking. Worked actually with the new rules of corona too. Room was very clean and nicely packed. Washroom was beautiful too. I slep only like 6 hours here and checked out very early. Hotel is Located very near to the airport and on a busy street. Supermarket are also in a walking distance. I checked out very early and front desk arranged me a taxi. Overall good. Thanks for your kind and safety hospitality MEININGER Hotel Frankfurt team.
