Hotel is located next to terminal 1 via a cross bridge. On arrival, it's hard to know where it is and which direction to head to because the signs are poor or lacking to indicate where this hotel is located. I had to ask an airport staff for information. This hotel has a weird co-existence with the Sheraton next door where the executive lounge is located as well as the restaurant for breakfast. Hotel staff are nice and friendly but the check in process is very slow and long and you should expect to wait a while even if there's only 1 person ahead in front of you. I noticed a few front desk staff who tend to hang out in the back office while only one is at the desk dealing with customers. Waiting for a long delayed check in after a long flight is unreasonable. Room has a modern deco type look, and seemed fine for a quick overnight stay. Lobby looks great and comfortable for a place to hang out. There is a bar/restaurant just off the lobby area for drinks, food, snacks and Starbucks coffee. The train station is located just about a 5 minute walk from the hotel, which has a bunch of stores and places for food, and very convenient if you want to catch the train to the city center or even long distance to places like Munich. For a quick overnight stay, this hotel is fine. …
Wonderful hotel connected to Terminal 1 at FRA. We had no difficulty locating the hotel, which is directly accessible by crossing the skywalk. It is right next to the Sheraton, which is visible from the outside of the terminal building. We arrived in Terminal 2, took the free airport shuttle bus, which dropped us right off by the escalator going up to the hotel. If you arrive on the ground floor, go up to cross over. After a long overnight flight from the US, we were thrilled to get an early check-in. Torgul was accommodating, and helped us get a good rate for our return stay at the end of our trip before flying home. When we had some issues with our return flight, he was very helpful, which is reassuring when you are in a foreign country and don't know anyone. The room was clean, modern, and well equipped. There was a robe and slippers which I used to go to the nearby massage center. Good security, as someone in the elevator could not access his floor when I used my card for a different floor, so he had to use his own. Though I did not enjoy flying out of FRA airport, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Marriott again. The hotel is pricier than others in the area, but for me, it was worth the convenience and easy access. TIP: (leave yourself a LOT of time on your return flight, as security looked through almost everyone's carry-on bag and was very slow due to a lack of manpower. I was in the priority lane, and I waited over a half hour in line, then had to wait another 15 minutes for border control because the machines did not work. Rea…
The happiest moment was to check out! I won't be back. Location: No hotel signs at the airport. Signs available at departure, not arrival. No email or message from the hotel on how to reach the hotel. This would have been genuinely helpful. The hotel did say they're in talks with the airport to have more signs. Check in. One person on duty and slow check-in. Check out: No one at reception, and I had to knock on their office door for assistance. Room: Where do I begin. Three English channels - BBC only. Called Front Office, and the person I spoke to didn't seem to think this is an issue. 4 nights with nothing to watch... Housekeeping: The room is clean, but the bathtub was full of pubic hair (I counted 7). That evening, when I wanted to shower, the water pipe came out of the wall. Called FO to get engineering. They took almost an hour to arrive. By that time, I was in bed. Came the next day to fix. Not a single bottle of water for free. And there are no signs on whether Frankfurt tap water is safe for consumption or not. The hotel responded that they can deliver bottles daily, but I don't think this is standard, and only a response to my comment. I never got the free bottles. Room design is also a bit strange. There's an annoying amount of bright lights. One of which is right above the desk. You end up hitting your head every time you get up. The toilet paper holder is placed so close to the toilet that it's behind your arm/back when you sit down. The bathtub is such a strange shape that you can't lie down without drowning yourself. I'm 1.7m, so maybe it's for people 1.9m or taller? On the flip side, when I stand to shower, my head nearly touches the shower head above. Also, when you sit in the bath, you can't reach the nozzles. Slow charging USB ports in the room, some of which don't work. WiFi also tends to hang during meetings/videos. Now I have to also give credit where it's due. The Eatery staff and food are incredible. There's a Sheraton in the same building, and Marriott shares the breakfast space with Sheraton. The breakfast is OK, but every morning there's new staff. Not friendly at all. Except for one Filipino gentleman who's super friendly and helpful. The lady who welcomes you doesn't like mornings or people. Also, it was a terrible smell when you entered. I've raised this, and yet the same smell was there every morning until my last breakfast. I have to add that The Director of Rooms did respond to me during my stay and offered me a suite and dinner, which I declined. I trust he will look into things, but I feel the hotel general manager is non-existent.…
This hotel is easily accessible from terminal 1. You don't have to go outside. Take the elevator to level 3 and follow the sky bridge across to the hotel. Check in/out process was easy using the Bonvoy App. Reception staff was pleasant and efficient. She greeted us as soon as she saw us approaching the desk. Our room was clean, updated and spacious. There were the usual amenities- coffee maker, hot water pot and safe. Bath amenities were adequate. Bed and pillows were clean, fresh and comfortable. Wifi was a bit slow. Overall a convenient place to stay overnight to catch a connecting flight.
The hotel itself is extremely clean and the service was very Good. However, beware of central ac / heating. The room was very clean and large but we could not control the thermostat to adjust the temperature or to switch on ac. Although it was chilly in Frankfurt the room was extremely warm and stuffy. The windows could not open even just a tad to allow airflow. We asked to switch rooms and they did accommodate us but the second room was very hot as well. We asked for a fan and was told that they didn't have any. The hotel should consider purchasing fans so that guest can get airflow. The hallway was cooler than our room. We were so disappointed because we travel through Frankfurt so much and thought we had finally found a hotel to return to but not so much.
I actually had a bit of trouble finding my way to the hotel from the terminal - signage/directions were not obvious. However, once found, the hotel is very convenient. Rooms are modern and comfortable and I enjoyed a good quality breakfast at the hotel restaurant.
Worst hotel stay during my recent trip, arrived at 31-Dec-2022 7.30pm, only one front desk agent Manuela was there to handle the check-in, check-in took forever. Worst of all, what’s the point of telling me “I just gave away the last suite 5 minutes ago”? To irritate me? Never explain where the breakfast location is nor lounge access timing, have to find out from Sheraton front desk, because the queue was crazily long. Chromecast in room 9219 was not working, Engineering team came over said it’s broken. Next day try asking Jennifer from front desk if there’s any other room with working Chromecast, she said she will check with Technical team and get back to me. I waited at lounge seating area (not visible to her) while she’s attending another guest. I try approaching Jennifer once again the moment the guest left, she said the technical team just called her, said none of the Chromecast in the hotel is working. Really? I was there sitting behind the chair the entire time, all I heard was their conversation about teaching Jennifer Chinese, somehow the technical team manage to communicate with Jennifer telepathically in split seconds the moment the guests just left? Yes, I did enquirer about suite availability the next day, since our in room TV Chromecast is not working, and I guess I might have better chance to get a working Chromecast in Suite (since each suite has 2 TVs). Jennifer told us all suites were fully booked, and guess what? I can still book at least 3x Club Suites and 3x Premier Suites on the spot, her explanation? Those were phantom suite, the room type isn’t always guaranteed, seriously? I rather believe the earth is flat than believing her. For the entire trip, I never once request for suite upgrade, feel free to check with Prague Marriott, Paris Marriott Opera Ambassador and Le Meridien Stuttgart. So no, I wasn’t disappointed because of no suite upgrade, I was displeased by the front desk, their attitudes. The good, room was clean and spacious, housekeeping staff was lovely. Sheraton next door is a better choice since both Marriott and Sheraton sharing the same lounge yet their room rates are much cheaper. Check-in as Titanium member, staying at Room 9219.…
Stayed one night on our way back to Asia via Frankfurt. Do note that there were no signs to the hotel after we exited the luggage area in Terminal 1 of the Frankfurt airport. We went up one level and a friendly Lufthansa staff pointed us one more level up to the bridge that brings us across to the hotels (Marriott, Sheraton and Hilton). After that, it was easy to find. Perhaps the hotels can get together to invest in some signs at the Arrival area. The hotel is side by side with the Sheraton. In fact shared facilities are a feature. As we had an early flight, we decided against having breakfast or for that matter even getting a Club room. Club facilities, as we overheard were over at the Sheraton side. We did have dinner at the joint restaurant. Our waiter for the evening, Peter from Poland, is a credit the hotel. He was friendly and efficient. Making sure we were taken care of at all times. Thank you Peter. The room we were assigned was on level 6. It was spacious enough with a large TV and sitting area. Kettle is provided with an empty fridge that can be stocked up (if necessary) from the terminal. The bathroom is also of a decent size. Strange that our room only had one pair of house slippers and one bathrobe. Do note no toothbrush was provided. Check in and out were efficiently done. Wifi was also adequate for our needs. Good hotel if you need to overnight near the Frankfurt airport.…
Visited the cigar bar in the Sheraton/Marriott airport hotel. The cigar lounge is very clean with soft music and a real relaxing atmosphere. Sally, the bartender/host is very kind and attentive. The rooms in the Marriott are recently renovated, very spacious and clean. Check in was swift and easy. They have a good selections at breakfast. The hotel is connected to the airport and an easy walk to the hotel. The cigar bar is recently reopen. If you are a cigar smoker this is a must visit.
When i arrived the girl at the front desk questioned if i could afford the stay. As if I was checking in to the burj al Arab, when ordering room service the guy called me (a girl) sir and the food was cold and soggy. Next time I would rather sleep on the floor of the airport
