The main advantage of this hotel is its location in the very centre of the city with many public transport connections in the immediate surroundings. The lobby is designed in a tasteful and modern way which creates high hopes for the rooms themselves. But these will be deceived: The design is very raw and industrial, rather fitting a youth hostel. The WiFi is impossible to work with and the worst is the parking garage which will cause you panic attacks when you want to drive out. It's just to naarow.
Don't get me wrong: It's clean, and the service is nice, but at that price I'd expect something a bit more inviting.

The bright lights were the two very friendly guys, one slim German (?) at the reception, another bearded German (?) in the bar/restaurant area.
The rest (mostly Spanish teenagers it seems) were obnoxious, pulling the plates from under your nose while you are still eating, walking around with a sour face like they own the place (and you should get out of their way). The arrogance we encountered upon our arrival and throughout our stay from the young ladies at the reception was revolting; putting this kind of people at the desk is a fail. Especially because I had to get at least ten times to the reception to activate the cards of our three rooms. They said it was because of proximity to our cell phones, but at least three times our phones were in the (locked) room …. Also one safe was blocked (battery dead, happens, but again making us face those ladies’ utter arrogance).
We had three rooms. The cleaning people entered each room while we were still in bed (around 9am each time), in spite of the marker … they tried on other mornings but the door was closed, still quite unnerving to hear someone attempting to get in. Also some older women came to check out the service, just walking in asking if everything is ok… fawlty towers if you are old enough.
Our rooms didn’t get cleaned every day, which you simply expect in a 4*, forcing us at some point to go and face the ladies at the reception to beg for towels, because they don’t pick up the phone. We got a commercial geste but rather had had a smooth stay without having to get things fixed or face unfriendliness all the time. I stayed in Melia hotels and this does not live up the chain’s standard. As you will see from my other reviews, I am a positive and constructive traveler.
Positive points: location close to the metro; the gin and tonic; the breakfast buffet was very fine, managed by the friendly bearded guy; the slim guy at the reception desk helping us out. They lifted the place up (where the others seriously pulled it down, unfortunately).

This hotel was perfect for a short stay trip in Berlin. My boyfriend and I travelled here for 2 nights as part of his birthday present and we were very pleased with this hotel.
It is located in "Naturkundemuseum" (stop on the metro) and so is just outside of the main centre, but the Metro stop is literally a 2 minute walk from the hotel, so getting in and out was no problem at all!
The room itself was cosy, clean and comfortable. The hotel provide you with free beverages, not only teas and coffee, but also complimentary water, fruit juice and even a bottle of beer each day.
We did like the fact that the hotel was 'Green' also - it allows people to decide whether or not they would like to re-use their towels, or donate to Unicef, to help combat water wastage etc.
Checking in was quick and easy and the staff were very pleasant. When booking this hotel, I left a note to say that it was for my boyfriends birthday (I booked it as part of a surprise trip to Europe) and without my knowledge, they left a card and small dessert selection in our room upon arrival. This really was a lovely and very thoughtful touch.
I would definitely recommend "Innside by Melia" to any friends and family that travel to Berlin and if/when I travel there again myself, I would also return. Good location, comfortable room, easy check-in and most importantly, great value.

This hotel is great for a city break as the location is perfect. It is opposite the U-Bahn which takes you anywhere in the city. Easy 40min S / U Bahn to get from Schoenefeld airport. We were warmly greeted by staff to their newly refurbished hotel, followed by a quick check in and up to our 5th floor room overlooking the mural as we had requested. Nice size twin room with fridge (complimentary water / juices each day) large TV, good sized bathroom with walk in shower and hairdryer. We didn't eat breakfast or dinner but did have a drink in the bar of an evening which was very relaxing. There are a couple of supermarkets 2 mins away for any day/night time provisions . There is also a small gym and a sauna. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Innside Melia In April 2024. For a city break where your accommodation needs are fairly modest, it's a reliable choice while in Berlin.
The hotel is in a good location with local transit and it's easily accessible from the airport. Similarly, there are a number of eateries only a short walk away from the hotel. If you're planning on exploring the city, but don't want to be an overly busy neighbourhood, it's a good choice.
Customer service at the hotel is good. While there was some inconsistency in solving a minor problem with my room, this was quickly rectified and I was given a room upgrade. Staff I Interacted with were both friendly and helpful.
My room was clean and uncluttered with a minimalist approach to furnishing. Similarly to the communal areas of the hotel, the room was clean and with good lighting throughout. The bathroom area was a good size but as an aside, it does lack privacy (if not traveling alone) as it's separated from the main room by a sliding door without a lock. It also includes the safe and luggage/wardrobe area for anyone who might find that a problem.
Shower pressure was excellent with a good sized shower. Towels were also of a decent quality but larger bath towels could have been provided. While limited, bathroom amenities were to a good standard.
The hotel gym is certainly modest and suitable only for a light workout. Although it does make good use of the limited space.
Overall, if you're looking for a reliable, modest and cost-effective choice for a city break in Berlin, Innside Melia is a recommended choice.

I booked 4 days in Berlin using Black Friday Discount for Easter, because of Covid-19 , I had to move the booking so Melia made me pay £110 more becuase the rates or I would lose the money already paid. I have been checking quite often the offers for this hotel on the website and I discovered that Melia have the 45% discocunt for Black Friday and for all year. There is not Black Friday Discount, is the discount they have all year.
I paid a total of £120.00 per night, totally overpaid. I wasn't my option to change the booking, firstly I booked for Easter, but because of the lookdown I had to move the booking. Totally unfair the overcharge.
One day it was raining we arrived at the hotel and we asked for a coffee in reception. The receptionist told us that the bar was closed, so we went to the next hotel (Titanic Hotel) where we had our coffee.
No Sauna or Gym because of Covid-19. The room was fine, just soap in the bathroom, poor room for the price I've paid.
The breakfast was poor, not so many options, the last day no eggs available.
The worst experience of my life. Horrible. Melia is not going to have me as a client anymore.

My wife and I had a three night stay in Berlin to see the sights. This hotel is located 1 minute from the U6 station, Getting from the airport (Tegal) was easy by bus 128 and underground train U6. Very good connections to anywhere within the city.
Hotel was excellent, We opted for a room upgrade (30 euros) and room was very good. Not overly large but adequate with on suite shower, coffee making facilities. Very clean and well laid out Staff were friendly and very helpful (supplied milk for our tea). Several good restaurants nearby, No German food ones. Hotel was part of BA package so no idea of prices/ value for money.

We stayed in 3 rooms for 3 nights and had an overall nice stay.
The rooms and bathrooms are clean and you have all the necessities.
Breakfast is a bit pricey, but is well worth the cos, and recommended.
The only problem we faced is the need to go back to reception numerous times during our tay, to reset our room key-card, several times, for all 3 rooms.
