Travellers' Choice
In the sophisticated XVth and XVIIth century setting, this establishment situated in the same axis as the Castle, saw centuries of history and knew how to upkeep its character, style, and soul. The prestige winding within the spiral staircase, is also present in the highrise fireplaces in Tuffeau, and the massive exposed beams. Here luxury is set off serenely in a well-kept decor, textiles and fabrics of exception, attractive mosaics in the bathrooms. The Hotel Saint Pierre conjugates tradition, comfort and the latest in modern technology.

A quick visit to Saumur with family to visit family living in the area. Stayed before several times and would definitely stay again. The hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of town, it’s a beautifully presented hotel with all the comforts you would expect. Regis always gives a very warm welcome and the breakfast is outstanding. Great value for money too.

We visited this hotel on a Friday evening in November to celebrate out wedding anniversary. It was perfect ! The room was very comfortable and we had everything we needed and more. We had a drink in the bar before going out for dinner and were made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was expensive for us at 15€ each but my goodness, what a spread! Pastries, crepes, bread, all kinds of cereals, seeds, nuts and dried fruits, cheese and yoghurts and even a little hot baked apple! I ordered an egg and had some fresh fruit. There was just about everything you could imagine. So it was well worth the money. But back to the hotel! It is well positioned in the centre of town. It was warm, very clean, the staff were attentive and friendly. Like I said, perfect!

We loved this hotel which was fantastically located right in the old town in a historic building right next to the church (note you can hear the bells). Our room was on the first floor with lovely views of the old town out the window. The room was a really good size with an armchair, desk, fridge, mini bar, kettle and lovely large bathroom all with up- to- date recent decor. The friendly proprietor parked our car for us behind the hotel (parking was at no extra cost). There is a small interior courtyard and breakfast is available which we did not have. We wished we could have stayed here longer.

Cosy boutique hotel in a perfect location for restaurants and exploring. Regis, the proprietor, is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is definitely a highlight while a nightcap in the tastefully decorated bar is a great way to round off the day.

Great location in the old town. Warm welcome and helpful service during our stay. Nice room. And 120 characters still missing until this positive review is being accepted by the system, but we are getting there, getting there, getting there…
