We spent 6 nights at La Cour des Consuls at the end of December and we were so glad we chose this hotel for our trip to Toulouse. Check-in was fast and to my surprise we were upgraded to a Deluxe Room. We were given a tour of the hotel by Sebu (sorry if I misspelled the name) who also took our luggage to our room and also gave us great recommendations on things to do. We stayed in room 144 which is a corner room located in the forth floor. It was very big, extremely quiet, very comfortable bed, and very clean. The only thing is the floor gets very wet while showering and may become slippery. I’d also suggest to the hotel management to have better lighting in the bathroom for us ladies who need it when applying makeup. We had breakfast every day at the hotel and it was excellent with a big variety. We suggest not going too late for breakfast as they start putting the foods away closer to breakfast end time. Special thanks to Cecilia who went above and beyond finding us a car rental place when our trains were cancelled to Albi due to the strike. We had lunch and brunch on two of the days we were there at their Michelin Star restaurant Le Cenacle which will be a separate review and went to the bar a couple of times as well. The hotel is approximately a 20 minutes ride from and to the airport by taxi and is also within walking distance of great restaurants and the major tourist attractions. What made this stay so great was the excellent service we received from everyone. I would definitely stay there again if I’m back to Toulouse and I recommend La Cour des Consuls without hesitation.

I would have left a review on the AllAccor site but didn’t receive the customary email inviting a review after our departure. This is a nice enough hotel but certainly not 5 star quality. The location is fabulous and exterior and common areas are lovely, but the room and hallways could have used upgrading to feel more contemporary and fresh. Rooms service meals are few and there’s barely anything under 35 euros other than an omelet or sandwich. Breakfast is limited in its offerings. Staff are not that nice and seemed hassled, and it often occurred that we crossed someone who did not reply to our “bonjour.” But what I found most concerning is the fairly consistent disregard for COVID guidelines. Staff for the most party did not wear masks or had them pulled down under their chins (even the person who delivered our room service meal) and we also observed many guests who didn’t wear masks for example in the breakfast area (and you can’t enforce the mask rule on guests if staff aren’t following it). I wouldn’t stay here again.

This is small boutique hotel in an old building on very narrow street. It is rather difficult to access by car. No valet service and no place for a car in front of the hotel (unless you are lucky). Check-in process was quick but the clerk forgot to give our ID back. Fortunately we noticed it at the hotel, not in the airport.
Our room was quite spacious. Good shower. Toilet was in separate closet without a sink, which is little odd.
Wifi is password protected, nobody informed us the password.
Breakfast was good.
It has one Michelin star restaurant (Le Cenacle, reviewed separately) which also had some service issues.

We are currently staying at room 124
The room is worn out and not orderly cleaned. Dirty corners, hair on the floor etc. See pics.
We mentioned right away.
The only reaction at the front desk (16:15) was that today they are fully booked and that they may be able to move us to another room tomorrow.
Is that appropriate for a 5 star hotel?

La Cour des Consuls Hotel & Spa Toulouse-MGallery is a nice boutique French hotel in Toulouse. It is located in the city center surrounded by many restaurants. Walk to the city hall is about 5-10 munites. Hotel offers breakfast and formal dining. I didn’t had chance to try its formal dining, however, breakfast was good and services are good. Hotel offers valet parking free of charge and services are very good. In over all, I enjoyed its great services during my stay. I will stay in this hotel when I am in Toulouse again.

I called to book two adjoining rooms for the second night of our stay for my 12 year old child as the website didnt have the option. The reservations person said she could book this for me in a suite category but the price she quoted was higher than the price in front of me on the website. She said she could not match the price but that I should book those categories online. I did so, making a request for adjoining rooms. The hotel called me a week later saying the junior suite i booked was in the annex not the main hotel and I needed to upgrade the booking to have adjoining rooms. I called them back and agreed the upgrade and confirmed this by email. When i arrived at 11pm i was informed the rooms were not adjoining or next to each other. I said this would not work for us and please could they arrange at least for the next door room. The next morning I returned with my 12 year old child amd enquired to be told very crossly that there was no adjoining room available but they had allocated a suite ‘close’. In the fact the second room was the other end of the corridor, not close at all. I showed her the email confirming adjoining rooms and said this was very upsetting for me and when I upgrade a week ago I should have been told there was no availability as then I would have booked a different hotel. The recpetionist told me this was my problem. As I walked away visibly upset she laughed. I emailed the hotel to explain my dissatisfaction and was told they didnt guarantee adjoining rooms and the rooms were close. (Rooms 131 and 136 are not close being very far ends of the corridor and down steps to the second room.)
Breakfast - supposedly available at 645am - nothing to eat until 7am. On the second day i waited 40 minutes (reminding wait staff 4 times) for eggs which were raw. Service is supposed to be until 1030 but the pastries were gone by the time we got there at 9.55am and were not replenished. I phoned the reception 3 different times over the weekend to ask for assistance but no one answered. On the fourth occasion I called to ask time for breakfast the receptionist answered with ‘yes?’. And then proceeded to tell me it finished at 10am (which was incorrect). The carpet in our room was stained and the walls were marked and dirty. There is a small gym. Cleaning and wait staff were pleasant (hampered by the kitchen I think) . Overall would recommend strongly this hotel is avoided at all costs.

Responded 4 weeks ago
Dear guest, I thank you for your review regarding your stay at La Cour des Consuls. I'm sorry to read that the experience didn't answer your expectations. I can assure you that I avec shared your comments with my team in order to better understand your insatisfaction. I would like to inform you that we never guarantee adjoining rooms, but we did ensure that the rooms assigned to you were on the same floor, as per your explicit request. Our 32 rooms boutique hotel offer different types of categories and rooms and with the hotel fully booked and the upgrade of category requested during your stay, unfortunately it was not possible to answer positively to your kind request. Regarding the breakfast buffet hours, our staff is on-site from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and the buffet opens precisely at 6:45 AM. It is consistently restocked throughout the morning to ensure that all guests can enjoy it at their convenience. I am sorry to hear that the information provided to you over the phone did not meet your expectations. I will make sure to share your comments with our entire team, as we are always striving to improve. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and regain your trust. Regards Lamia Salah Hotel Manager

Good morning,
I don't have the habit or the pleasure of writing reviews. However, if it can help people not to spend their money for nothing then my motivation is there.
To start with the most positive, the location, common areas and staff are excellent.
On the other hand, the rooms are not at all at the level of a 5-star hotel. I would rate them at a maximum of 3 stars. To begin with, upon entering the building, there was still yesterday's laundry at the bottom of the stairs (at 6 p.m.), lots of cigarette butts on the floor...
Our room was located on the other side of the courtyard and the parking lot above the trash room and close to the kitchens (the ventilation smelled of the kitchen coming up and from 7:30 a.m. the noise started with the trash cans). It was very austere, not maintained, and renovated around ten years ago by "hiding misery"....paint peeling off, switch not fixed on the walls of the bed...a horrible click clack in the living room for our daughter... bathroom door with lots of signs of wear and mold.
The hostess explained to us that some rooms were renovated but that there was no difference in price.... in other words, if you get it wrong you pay a DELUXE suite at a base price of €650 for worth a Mercury Hotel from the 80s...
Clearly, if you want to please your little family and have a good time, go your way or otherwise negotiate a renovated room....
For staff, visit on 12/28/2023

It is a nice property in nice location. Good valet service. Front dest is good and responsive when you get through on the phone. Tried to reach them last night, the front dest guy just left the post and disappeared for 15 minutes, went for search of fresh towels myself but later I found him. Definitely not a 5 star service. As Accor diamond we received a welcome letter but this is an Accor hotel number 4 this week where they ignored the fact we should be upgraded. Here I am not even sure if the room is best in category as it is in an ugly side building, first floor facing the street with minimal soundproofing. The experience is okay but nothing special.

Yes they do
We stayed in a unique room with a circular tub and separate shower. The shower had glass walls in view of the room. Bath tub and sink were open to the room also, but the tub had a glass room divider. Toilet was very private with traditional wood walls and door.
There are both.
