Recently stayed 2 nights at Clement Ader while on a trip to Toulouse and found the hotel to be pretty good. The location is great , it's near the main train station and not far from a metro stop so everything is within walking distance. Toulouse is very walkable.

The room was a decent size, the bed a small double , comfortable , just a little soft in places. The kitchenette although I did not use it would have been useful if you were there for a longer stay, it was fully fitted with plates , pans, cutlery etc. It was nice to have a balcony where you could sit out and have a drink if the weather was good.

The bathroom had a a tub which was a delight and easy to use shower with shampoo and shower gel dispensers fixed to the wall. The towels were basic but clean. The storage space was fine for 2 people and the wifi worked well too.

Breakfast was not included in my rate but there was a delicious bakery directly opposite the hotel which was good and also a patisserie a little further down if you wanted something sweeter.

Service was okay, the staff could have been friendlier and more welcoming. There only ever seemed to be 1 person on reception which at times meant you had to wait quite a while, why check people in at 11.45 when a room is not ready until 15.00 & people are trying to checkout ? Checkout is 11.00 which is not mentioned on the keycard nor on the information on the back of your room door , most hotels have a 12.00 departure time . Overall , not a bad choice in Toulouse and decent value at €125 a night.

Dear Sir, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We’re so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and found our location to be ideal for your trip to Toulouse. Being close to the main train station and public transportation makes it easy for our guests to explore the city on foot, and we’re thrilled that it worked well for you. We’re pleased you found the room size comfortable and appreciated the amenities, especially the kitchenette. We always aim to provide practical facilities for both short and long stays, and it's wonderful to hear that the balcony was an added bonus for you when the weather was nice. We also appreciate your positive comments about the bathroom and the convenient shower with all the necessary amenities. It’s good to know that the Wi-Fi met your expectations and that the storage space worked well for you. We’re sorry, however, to hear that the service did not meet your full expectations. We always strive to provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all our guests, and we take your comments to heart in order to improve. Your point about the check-in process and the 11:00 AM check-out time is valid, and we will review this with our team to ensure that our communication is clearer in the future and that guests have a smoother experience. Thank you again for choosing Clément Ader. We hope to welcome you back to Toulouse soon, and we’re confident that we can offer you an even better stay next time. Best regards, The Clément Ader Team

We stayed for one night in the hotel, and occupied 2 apartments. One was a 2 bedroom apartment sleeping 5 and the other was a studio for 2 (like a regular hotel room with the addition of a kitchenette).
Apartments were clean and well furnished. However, in the studio the air conditioner didn't work. In the other apartment the air conditioner is central meaning if you operate it in one room, all 3 spaces are equally cold. Since none wanted to wake the other, they didn't use the air conditioner and tried opening the windows. No nets on the windows they were attacked by swarms of mosquitos... A pity since the rooms themselves are quite inviting.
Breakfast was very nice, included scrambled eggs and fresh pastries as well as cheese, charcuterie, cappuccino upon request and freshly squeezed orange juice. Still, we think that paying 16.5 euros for this breakfast is a lot! I was certain I already paid for it with the room, otherwise we would have eaten outside. You can get a la carte breakfast in any cafe for less than 10 euros.
The location of the hotel is fantastic! Right between the city centre and the Gare Matabiau. Service was really very kind and professional.

Dear Sir, Dear Madam, First of all, the whole team of the Clément Ader joins me to thank you very much for choosing our property for your recent stay and for sharing your detailed feedback about your stay. We hope you had a wonderful time here in Toulouse and that your stay was one of the greatest ! It's great to hear that you stayed in two different types of apartments and had some positive experiences, but also encountered a few issues. Let's go through your comments one by one: Apartment Cleanliness and Furnishings: It's wonderful that you found both apartments clean and well-furnished. This is an essential aspect of any comfortable stay and can significantly impact the overall experience. Air Conditioning: It's unfortunate that the air conditioner in the studio apartment wasn't working. That can be quite inconvenient, especially during warm weather. The central air conditioning in the other apartment seems like a unique setup, but I understand how it might not suit everyone's preferences, especially if it affects the temperature in all rooms. However I would like to mention that, as in 99% of the world's hotels, the air-conditioning system is central and cannot distribute heat and cold at the same time throughout the hotel, nor in a single room/apartment. And In understand that in mid-season it can be quite inconvenient. Mosquito Problem: The absence of window nets leading to a mosquito infestation is certainly a downside. Mosquitoes can be a nuisance, particularly when trying to sleep or relax in the room. Having proper screens on windows can make a big difference in such situations. Unfortunately, we are all affected by the emergence of tiger mosquitoes throughout the country and I can only sympathize with the burden that mosquitoes represent. Breakfast Quality and Pricing: It's good to know that you enjoyed the breakfast offered by the hotel. A variety of options, including scrambled eggs and fresh pastries, sounds appealing. However, I understand your concern about the price, especially if you thought it was included in the room rate. Clarity on what's included in the room rate and what's an additional cost can help manage guest expectations. We recently made many improvments about breakfast quality, In particular, we source many of our products from local producers and we try to keep the supply chain as short as possible. All these aspects impact the price of the breakfast indeed. Hotel Location: It's fantastic to hear that the hotel's location met your expectations, being conveniently situated between the city center and Gare Matabiau. A prime location can enhance the overall experience of exploring the area. Service: We are more than pleased that you had a positive experience with the hotel staff. Kind and professional service can often make up for other minor inconveniences during a stay. And this aspect is probably the most important for us. Thank you very much for emphasize it. In conclusion, your feedback provides valuable insights for both the hotel management and potential future guests. It's a balanced review that highlights both the positives and areas that could be improved. Your experience with our property's services, location, and furnishings seems generally positive, but addressing issues like the air conditioning and mosquito problem would likely enhance guest satisfaction. Additionally, clarifying the breakfast pricing could prevent surprises for future guests. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and I hope your next stay will be even more enjoyable. Warm regards,

Well-equipped and comfortable apartment. A little small for 4 people but we were still comfortable. The bathroom is large, the kitchen is well equipped and the accessories for eating and cooking are in perfect condition. Cleanliness and comfort. The pool and gym area is a plus.

This is a well presented apart-hotel, close to public transport, shops, restaurants and key sites. It has a small but well appointed gym & pool, bar & restaurant (we didn’t avail of this) and the staff were exemplary. The bedding and towels were beautifully clean, the room was very quiet and the kitchenette has everything you need for a few days away, especially if you explore the Victor Hugo market just a few minutes away (no oven though!).

Lovely staff and all our rooms were great for the price.

Unfortunately I didn’t get a balcony, but then I wasn’t promised one.

Kitchens are reasonably well equipped if you wanted to do a bit of cooking . Not all stocked with the same things - I was missing creamer for my coffee and another friend had no hairdryer - minor points though and staff were happy to replenish things. Nuxe toiletries which was a lovely touch at the hotel price point.

It was great having the outdoor heated pool, sauna and gym at our disposal. Shame they only opened at 9.

We had breakfast one morning and it was pleasant enough with option to enjoy freshly squeezed orange juice, coffees from the bar and some hot items, but overly expensive at 16.5 euros. There are lots of cafes nearby or buy from the bakers or small supermarkets.

Overall a great experience and I would definitely stay again.

We have been staying at L'Appart-Hotel regularly (4 or 5 times a year) for almost 15 years.
The Residence is very well located. The City Center is accessible on foot. Several supermarkets nearby for shopping and an excellent organic bakery right opposite. The magnificent Victor Hugo market 10 minutes away allows you to buy all local products as well as excellent cooked dishes to enjoy on the apartment terrace and several magnificent restaurants upstairs not to be missed. Also a superb fish restaurant at the end of the street.
The car park located under the residence, no more expensive than public car parks, is very practical.
The staff is very friendly, attentive and full of kindness and kindness.
The recently renovated apartments are large and comfortable, very well equipped. The kitchen allows you to prepare breakfasts as well as simple dishes. In summer the small swimming pool is a real plus.
As a couple or family you will be delighted with your stay.
Gerard

Visited this place during the Christmas holidays 2022 and I must say, it was a great find! Close to the center but located in quiet area, hotel impressed me with how much it can offer for such a reasonable price.
Firstly, rooms are well-sized and super clean, fully equipped kitchen (I wasn’t expecting to have a kitchen), comfy balcony, load of fluffy towels. I wouldn’t say I was way too impressed by the breakfast, but I wake up late and probably there was just not much left by the time I’d go to grab a bite.
Staff of the hotel is juuuuust GREAT, every single one of them was very nice and helpful, I really think that staff like this builds the whole great impression.
Hotel also offers extra facilities, like use of gym and steam room (I was too lazy), and apparently use of pool in summer.

I fell in love with Toulouse and I know I’ll be definitely coming back, and when I’ll be back, my go-to will be this beautiful hotel.
Cheers, guys!

It always puzzles me how in France they allow properties to post stars regardless of the reality of the hotel. 4 star in France is barely 3 in USA: This hotel has a good looking building but that’s it . Rooms are very basic, beds are uncomfortable; pillows are better in any Hampton inn , courtyard or holiday inn express (2 .5 stars hotels), the curtains in one of the rooms were ridiculously short so you would have light filling the room since early morning,
And no air conditioning on March because it didn’t fit into their air conditioning seasonality. With both the curtain problem and the lack of AC it was impossible to have a good night sleep . On the other hand it is
True the hotel is 3 blocks away from the city center but in a rather sketchy area, so I don’t see why to stay there having equal or better options around the place de capitol or place St. George which are properly in the middle of everything. Go elsewhere, unless this people offer 30 % or more discount compared to crowne plaza , Novotel near St. George or hotel du capitol, this hotel doesn’t worth the money ot the 4 star

Dear Sir, Dear Madam, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us and for choosing our property for your getaway to Toulouse. We hope your stay in Toulouse was one of the greatest. We understand your disappointment and apologize that your experience did not meet your expectations. We appreciate your perspective, however, it's important to consider that hotel ratings can vary significantly between countries due to different standards and criteria. Additionally, it's crucial to consider that comparing a family-owned French hotel to a chain hotel in the United States may not provide an accurate reflection of the unique qualities and offerings of each establishment. While we strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all our guests, we acknowledge that individual preferences and experiences may differ. Regarding your concerns about the room quality and amenities, we take your comments seriously and will review them with our team to ensure improvements are made where necessary. As well as for the location, we understand that perceptions of neighborhood can vary, but we assure you that the safety and security of our guests are of paramount importance to us. We value your feedback as it helps us to continually improve our services. We hope you had a safe travels back. Best regards,

After we checked in we were goiven a duplex room right next to the elevator. After we comlained about the annoying noise of the elevator we got duplex room 406 which was more spacious and felt more luxurious then 405. We enjoyed our stay, loved the room, kitchen and the bog balcony. Breakfast is ok, maybe a bit overpriced? There was only one person operating it and that is perhaps a couple of hands too short? Qualtity of the food is good. Staff was very friendly. We would come back here if we visit Toulouse again.

Our unsmiling receptionist gave us one card to our room and sent us up to the third floor. On entering the room, a semi naked couple were standing directly in front of us-the room already had occupants.

So back down with our suitcases and backpacks to the still unsmiling receptionist who, without even an apology, gave us a key to another room on the third floor. This room was empty !

Maybe twenty years ago this would have been a state of the art room, it had lost its lustre. The coffee machine works only if you happen to carry filters and ground coffee with you, so it’s a long untouched relic of the past. The kettle looked to be of a similar era, as did the scouring cloth under the sink, which neither of us would even touch. The air conditioning hardly worked (it was 34 degs outside) and kept turning itself off.

There was a bath with a built in shower in the bathroom but you have to be a contortionist to get in and out and the toilet constantly ran out of water so you couldn’t flush it immediately. The safe had been opened by a previous guest and then locked in place. Our unsmiling receptionist came to see it and accused my wife of causing it (we had only just arrived in the room). Once we had vigorously denied that it was us at fault, he then earnestly said to us that he would send someone to fix it and would tomorrow morning at 09.00 be ok ?

The next morning we waited until 10.00 and nothing happened so we ended up securing our valuables in a locked suitcase. Now someone please tell me that that is four star treatment.

I would endorse everything that pipt237 has said. The area is ok, but the hotel is set back a little from the main road, so that the rooms are quiet and the hotel has a nice feel to it. Our room was getting a bit tired, though. I would also add that we had an awful meal at L'Entrecote, which is at the top of the road, so I would recommend avoiding that.

Dear Fran, Further your request, you can take a taxi from the airport (the cost is around 35€) or an airport shuttle (8€/ person). There is a shuttle every 20 min coming from the airport, you have to get off at the stop "Jeanne d'Arc". Best regards
