The location is perfect - if you are walking 5 minutes straight you will reach the famous Toulouse bridge - Pont Neuf. The hotel is also between two underground stations and easily reachable by tram(T2) from the airport.
The receptionists were very friendly and helpful, they also speak English well. The lobby was really cosy and stylish.
The rooms were ok. The bed was comfortable. The only disadvantage is that they clean the rooms once per week, but that's fine for short stays.
Toulouse is a nice city - and that's a good option to stay in Toulouse!
The bed, however, was like sleeping on a board with a thin layer of foam. I prefer a firm bed, but this was too hard – to the point that I sometimes woke up sore if I was in one position for too long. I honestly thought that a mattress topper (like at Ibis) was missing. Be warned.
Then again, it was quiet, I managed to put my car in the garage (which was, I have to admit a bit challenging given the size of the areas in the garage) and the breakfast was, well, probably not poisonous (though the green cake certainly looked the part).
Next time I'm in Toulouse, I think I'm going to find some other place though :)
(Oh, but it was cheap!)
The location of the hotel is not the best - a run down area about 20-30 mins walk from the old town.
The towels had holes in them. The sheets were clean but the pillows were lumpy (and only one provided per person) and the mattress was thin. The bed was a double bed but the bed head and side tables built for a queen size. Carpet thin and sticky. Wall trims falling off. No floor safe, broken sink plug. Window could open but no way to keep it open so no fresh air possible. Air conditioning did work which was a blessing.
The stench in the room from the drains was overpowering- alleviated to some extent by a jug of boiling water and a squirt of dishwashing liquid in each drain.
The breakfast was basically continental but the coffee undrinkable.
There was a small fridge in the room with some basic equipment but no tea or coffee or milk provided.
One washing machine, dryer and iron for the entire hotel (located in the basement).
One lift with queues at check out and check in.
Overall a very tired hotel in a poor location.
Pros - secure underground parking, a kitchenette, proximity to Metro station and next to a market and supermarket.
Cons - the hallway, bathroom & bedroom had strong cigarette smell. We had to keep the bathroom door shut to minimise the smell getting in the bedroom. We opened the window to let fresh air in but the noise from the street was very loud. Surprisingly we did not hear any outside noise once the window was shut. We stayed in one of the old rooms. The bedroom & bathroom very old. Carpet was rather tired looking.
The room rate was reasonable but you got what you paid for. Staff were fine.
Small room, minimally equipped, the strict, strict adherence to human requirements, with the noisiest Aircon we've ever heard. For reasons we still don't understand, we had the impression we were in a microwave oven! A horrible sensation that might have something to do with their Linky installation....your while body feels this strange electric irritation. Definitely would not recommend it to anyone. There are far better options!
"rooms are very quiet which is a plus. i was on the 3rd floor so maybe this helped!"Read full review
