Detailed Reviews
A welcoming and very well-located hotel, to which we would happily return. Our Premium room was quiet, light and airy, had attractive contemporary decor, a very comfortable bed and a modern shower-room.
The staff are great. We had some problems making our reservation from the UK, and the staff were patient and understanding as we sorted it out. When we arrived they were friendly and very helpful, giving us useful suggestions for restaurants and places to see.

+1
We spent a three night stay at St. Sernin hotel and found it to be wonderful. The loaction could not be better - beside the Basilica de St. Sernin, and a 10 minute walk from Le Capitole. We chose this hotel primarily because of its proximity to the bus stop Jeanne d'Arc, which allowed us to get the Airport navette to within 325m of the hotel - smooth footpaths for wheelie luggage all the way to the hotel. The hotel offers a basic but good value breakfast for €13 euro which includes great coffee from the machine, fresh orange juice, lovely rustic bread, ham, cheese and yogurt and freshly baked croissants and petite Danish pastries. It would be hard to get as good value in the nearby cafes.
We had a "Basilica-view" room, which didn't offer much view of the Basilica due to the summer foliage on the trees. But it did afford a lovely little balcony overlooking the adjoining cafe, and I'd recommend this room-with-a-view if you like to watch the world go by. And the adjoining cafe, which is not part of the hotel, is a wonderful place to spend an hour enjoying a glass of chilled Rose wine or a beer and watching the world go by.
All the staff we interacted with were really friendly and helpful - particularly the Michael Jackson fan :-). Our bedand pillows were very comfortable and our room was very quiet, despite having the cafe below us (it closed at 10pm).
While the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, there are some great dining establishments very close - our favourite being Sixty Two at 62 Rue du Taur, just around the corner and 2 minutes from the hotel.
The only negative point I experienced would be that the Wi-Fi internet was not always accessible - not a deal breaker but one expects if free internet is offered that it's accessible 24/7.
In summary, when we return to Toulouse St. Sernin is the hotel that would be at the top of our list.

We spent one night in Toulouse on our way to a wedding reception for the weekend.
On the positive side the hotel is very well located near the Basilica and some nice surrounding cafes and shops. The breakfast is fair, relatively fresh, and a welcome relief in the morning.
On the negative side the hotel is difficult to get to by car. There is very limited parking around. The reception is on the first floor with no lift to get to it. We had much luggage being a family of four, and found it very difficult negotiating the tiny staircase to the first floor with all our luggage. The rooms were the smallest I have ever seen, making this one night experience something we would unfortunately rather forget.

We stayed in this hotel a couple of times a few years ago and loved it, but we were very disappointed this time. Everything was chipped, scuffed and grubby. The room didn’t smell very nice - there was a dirty laundry hamper covered with Febreze odour about it. The toilet seat was broken and the bath was really dirty and I’m not entirely sure the bedding was clean. It also used to be in a nice quiet area, but there is now a club/bar a block over that is very raucous until about 2am - there were a couple of noisy drunken fights outside the hotel that disturbed our sleep. On the plus side the breakfast was fine, the staff were lovely and the views of the Basilique are still stunning. It’s such a shame as this hotel could be amazing, but it’s looking very neglected and shabby.

Staff very polite and caring for the traveller, regardless if you are businessman or on holiday. The location is very central and clear of the sleezy areas near the train station-and yet around a 10 minute walk . Handy for restaurants and prime attractions.

We were so thrilled with the location! Right out our window was a UNESCO world heritage site, St. Sernin! We could see the tower above the trees from our balcony. Everything we wanted to do was walkable from this point!
The hotel itself was really charming! The stairs leading up to reception are right next to a cafe.
Our room was quaint, comfortable, and had beautiful floor to ceiling doors that opened onto the balcony where we enjoyed wine and cheese on it both nights of our stay - note, the balcony is 'just' big enough for us to squeeze onto, but we really enjoyed the experience.
The staff were SO friendly! Not only did they inform us of everything we'd need to know about our stay to enjoy ourselves, but they took care of several needs of ours tout-suite! We needed tableware for our desserts each night, and they merrily provided them. We needed a cab in the a.m., and they arranged one for us. They anticipated our need to check out before our departure, and made the process quick and easy.
We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it!

Pleasant enough hotel but our room was VERY small. I guess if you are visiting the city to sight see you will be out and about so not a big issue but compared to other hotels it is ‘compact’.
Staff friendly, room clean and hotel has a great arty feel to it, also a great central location.

Nice hotel with modern rooms. The rooms are very clean and have good strong WiFi. The rooms look very new. Bed's are good quality and the front-desk is very helpful.
Breakfast is a little overpriced. The location is good and about a 10 minute walk to the middle of the city center (capitool).
