Characterful residence to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We appreciated the location and the exterior and interior appearance of the establishment. Very warm welcome. The Maryline room has a lot of character, however it is a little noisy on the first floor near reception, you can hear everything and it overlooks the busy street in the corner. The evening meal is very simple but has the merit of existing. The breakfast is plentiful and varied. The hotel is in the city center, 2 minutes from Place Jean Jaures. Easy parking valet service or Carre Gambetta parking 200 m away, very practical and inexpensive, 7 euros for 24 hours.

We discovered this hotel as part of a Smart box that we received as a Christmas gift, we stayed there during a romantic weekend.
We were pleasantly surprised on every level. The hotel is very pleasant with a successful mix of modern and old, the Parisian room is comfortable and tastefully decorated, the staff and the director are top notch (smiling, attentive and attentive). The breakfast is exceptional, with a choice that we have rarely seen in a hotel at this price.
We were apprehensive because some hotels offer poor service to smart box users, but we were treated like any other customer. After discussion with the Hotel Manager, he told us of his desire not to make any distinction.
We recommend +++++

This is a perfectly situated hotel in the centre of Castres. The directions we were given, in advance, for parking were spot on, with the secure, covered car park being literally around the corner from the hotel.
The owners and their team are very welcoming and friendly. Our room was on the second floor and the owner carried all our bags up for us! The room had a Medieval theme and was spacious and comfortable with a large comfortable bed. The bathroom had tub and shower and was spotlessly clean. Also had a make up/shaving mirror.
The bar was very cosy with interesting decor and very comfy tub chairs. We enjoyed our drinks which were reasonably priced. The owners took the time to stop and chat to us which was nice. I understand dinner is also available although we did not eat in the hotel as we had already committed to dining elsewhere in Castres.
Breakfast was very good with excellent coffee and a good choice of cereals, bread, boiled eggs, toast, cold meat, cheese, yoghurt, fruit and juices.
We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Evening of August 14, 2023. Dinner – Night – Breakfast - (Large customer without box) Access to the bedroom on the 2nd floor via a beautiful stylish staircase. Dust and cobwebs decorate the window overlooking a closed interior courtyard, with a somewhat gloomy appearance. For the room (Japanese), certainly the smallest in the hotel and very little corresponding to our expectations: poorly made dust, small 180 duvet for a 180 bed but good bedding, 1 tissue in the box placed on the bedside table – Painting of the shutters in serious disrepair – Small bathroom (1 sink – 1 walk-in shower – 1 WC) The WC is a third overlooked by the radiator which means that when you sit the toilet seat on it pivots to the left and your shoulder triggers the radiator every time – original The meal took place on the terrace, which was a little noisy due to the passage of many motorbikes and a few cars. Limited aperitif menu. For meals, on the terrace there were 3 dining tables including ours (4 people – we were accompanying a couple with a box) and 2 other tables of 2 people each. A priori meals at the hotel are served for people with boxes (WONDERBOX /SMARTBOX / OTHERS. The menu of meals offered is very limited and the service was deplorable: incomprehension of the service staff, slowness, dishes brought unrequested, quantity more than reduced (slice of raw ham so thin that you can read through it – half ramekin cassoulet etc.) and very poor quality. The deputy director of the Hotel S… tried hard to make up for all the blunders but despite her good humor and her professionalism, discontent remained. Very decent breakfast, however after a wait of almost 10 minutes to be able to collect our cups of coffee, the waitress also acting as receptionist was busy with another task. To conclude, we stayed in this hotel in 2019 with a BOX and were completely satisfied with the service – The evening meal being taken outside at a partner restaurant. To date our satisfaction has fallen “to the ground”. This charming 3* hotel is not currently dedicated to the service staff present to cater for BOX customers who can only be disappointed. The hotel management has the email addresses of the customers present in the restaurant that day and has the means to contact us if they wish. Personally, if I have to stay in Castres again, I will avoid this hotel.

The Renaissance hotel is by far the best I have experienced. The staff is most pleasant, and demonstrates an efficiency which guarantees impeccable service. In addition, this hotel of charm and character promises an extraordinary experience, the decoration of the rooms is atypical, the comfort of the beds is optimal, and this historic building is perfectly furnished to combine the charm of the old with elegance. modern. The services offered are of exceptional quality, as evidenced in particular by the breakfast which offers incomparable value for money. Without forgetting the icing on the cake, the perfect location for discovering the city.
I therefore highly recommend this hotel, in which I for one look forward to staying again.

We were exhausted after a very hot day and picked this hotel because it has good ratings. As soon as we got in, a very friendly and professional young lady named Celia greeted us and immediately upgraded us to a cool room with a Medieval décor- she even helped me lug my heavy bags up two flights ! The room is ,well furnished, , comfortable bed, nice bathroom and plenty of room to store our stuff. They have a little locked parking for my motorcycle. We turned the air conditioning on full blast and after a nice shower chilled out. When we walked out to grab dinner, I noticed that each room has a different décor; there's even one called he Harry Potter Room! Breakfast was excellent and overall, the service was exceptional and friendly. Four star service with a true love for hospitality and service. Celia, thanks a lot!

We have just had an infinitely pleasant stay of 2 nights in this magnificent hotel, carefully decorated with antique objects and splendid design-baroque furniture. The first impression (on the phone when booking and on arrival), confirmed throughout the stay, is that of a warm and professional welcome from the staff. Indeed, Celia, Marylou and Rachid, very involved in their respective tasks, execute them with great class and kindness. The 2 dinners taken in the pretty little dining room fully satisfied us by the quality of the dishes (especially Provencal tartare, veal blanquette, cassoulet and raspberry pie, all delicious). The breakfasts also proved perfect: splendid decoration, variety and quality of the buffet. A friendly stopover in a beautiful setting with charming and competent staff. A warm thank you to Rachid who advised us very wisely to visit monuments or places in the region. In short, an efficient team, a valuable asset for a hotel establishment. We will return to this hotel as soon as possible to perfect our knowledge of the area and have a pleasant stay.

Magnificent building restored and preserved both outside and inside, the rooms are all with original themes, spacious, comfortable. Dinner offers regional dishes. The breakfast is varied and plentiful with fresh products and the pastries are excellent and by far the best we have ever eaten. The staff is very involved in the running of this establishment and extremely helpful to these customers. If the opportunity arises we will not hesitate for a second to come back. We came with a smartbox and for once we were not disappointed!

Not suitable for people over 50. Very nicely decorated, nice, charming staff. But in the bedroom we see absolutely nothing, all the lights are indirect. As a result, one can only read in the bathroom, which is not the most pleasant place to do so. It would be enough to add a correct lamp, whether the customer chooses to light or not. On the other hand, as the shutters do not close well (very powerful ivy), the exterior lighting of the Inn accompanies the room for much of the night. That's a shame.

The hotel has no car park. Parking close to the hotel is on meters. When we were there we had the additional problem of roadworks and the Christmas market using up a mot of space and disrupting circulation. I agree with Youssef - contact the hotel for up to date advice. The tourist office is also very helpful.
