Spent one night here whilst touring the area. We stayed in la petite maison, which is decorated nicely in a seaside style. The bed is only a double, and found it quite small. We are use to king size beds. The room during the was warm, but st night freezing despite the heating being on. The walk-in wet room and separate WC are clean and very modern. However, the WC room is tiny! Barely had space to use it and wipe my bum (pardon the crude description, but alas true). Breakfast is typical French continental affair. However, all jams, yogurts, pastries are homemade by the owners and delicious. Cheese was provided upon request.
This small B and B is absolutely delightful, made more so by the warm welcome of the owners. We staying in "La petite maison" a small building on the grounds, adjacent to the main B and B. It was lovely, perfect in every way. The whole area is beautiful...Perpignan, which is a city with interesting sights, is a not particularly beautiful..staying a few minutes out of town, on a large estate with a stream running by, allowed us the best of both worlds...a quiet retreat and an opportunity to do some sightseeing, both in Perpignan and along the Vermillion Coast.
We were warmly greeted by the host and hostess Pierre and and his wife Pascale. The property was once the stables of the mansion. It has been beautifully restored and turned into a charming B & B. We stayed in the "petite maison" which is a separate building on the property. It is so quiet, private and romantic. The bathroom had a shower that was wonderful. We had a lovely breakfast every morning prepared by Pascale. Pierre would take this time to greet us, give us advice on what to see, and directions to get there. He was a most helpful and friendly host. It is advisable to have a car in order to explore the area, get to restaurants and visit Perpignan. Our next trip will most definitely include another stay here.
Pierre and Pascale have achieved a modern, elegant and super comfortable place. We stayed in the separate out-building and enjoyed a very private and sheltered stay. The room is light, airy and comfy. Very modern and good shower. While there is a grocery store in a walkable distance, you should have a vehicle to consider staying since all dining and destinations require wheels, about 15 minutes into town. Pierre had excellent touring suggestions and guide books to help us.
We only stayed one night here but wished it could have been longer. The house was the stables of the nearby chateau and has been beautifully converted, conserving the history of the place. Bedroom large and very comfortable. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was amazing with lots of lovely homemade products. Would definitely return!
