We travelled around France by rail with 3 children this summer and for our children this hotel was the highlight of their trip! There were lots of little touches that the children absolutely loved such as the giant chess boards in the entrance, the water refill station and the castle themed decorations. We were extremely lucky with our bedroom as we had an outside terrace and could go straight out of our patio doors to access the swimming pool. The swimming pool was wonderful in the August heatwave. The hotel was a bit of a trek from the station by foot so would recommend a taxi or bus if travelling by rail. Otherwise it is a great location. Family rooms are brilliant as they sleep 5 people with a double bed, a set of bunk beds and an extra single bed. We absolutely loved this room. We hadn't planned to eat in the restaurant but we did as we ran out of time to go elsewhere and found the food so good that we then chose to eat there the second night too! Breakfast was good too. Staff were lovely throughout the hotel. We were very impressed with the lack of single use plastic and how environmentally friendly the hotel appeared to be. I definitely recommend this hotel if you have children. My children still talk about it a few months on which is why I thought I'd better add my review now!!

The hotel is situated a few minutes walk away from the La Cite and half an hour walk from the New Town so perfect location. There is a bus stop right outside that takes you to the town and the train station and the lake the other way. Hotel was very clean and well equipped. Buffet breakfast was good once we got the hang of the boiled egg machine. The swimming pool was cleaned every morning and although we only went in once because of the weather it was lovely and warm. The staff were very helpful and spoke far better English than we spoke French. Would definitely recommend staying here for a visit to Carcassone.

Decent hotel for the price Its plus, it is well located in relation to the City accessible on foot and has parking (knowing that parking in the city is paid and very expensive). The staff is pleasant but you don't get involved. The rooms are clean but lack basic amenities such as USB socket. Breakfast is what you would expect for the price (a ladder to clear the trays would make rush hour and team work easier)

reception at the hotel was not the best. The arrogant and unfriendly employee did not explain everything to us as she should have. We had to ask ourselves a series of things that should have been explained to us. As soon as you enter the bedroom area there is a horrible smell, I think it is from the carpet. The rooms are not large, there is barely room for one suitcase, two suitcases are a challenge. I didn't like the decoration of the room, it's a genre for specific people!! Positive points, there are no noises, the curtains also cover the light from outside well. The restaurant also seemed good to me, as did the breakfast. The hotel staff in general were not friendly.
I edited this review because I was told that I would not have stayed at this hotel, perhaps it was at another Ibis as it does not have carpet in the rooms, it is true it does not, I did not say it was in the rooms but in the room area, the corridor there is and that's where it has a bad smell!!!! The rooms are small, ours was small and we could only open one suitcase at a time!!!
I'm sure it was in this hotel, I have the invoice and I went to check the name!!!

The staff are really friendly, the room had lovely comfy beds, the bedroom area was quiet at night, lovely swimming pool, great selection of food for breakfast. There isn't any kettle in the rooom but at reception there is a kettle, tea and coffee and also a cold water dispenser for filling your reusable bottle. The hotel is only 10 minutes walk from the medieval castle and 15 minutes walk from the town centre. Ideal location. I have very little negative comments: The glass panel on the side of the bath isn't long enough so the entire bathroom gets a shower when someone uses the shower. The cups at the tea/coffee station in reception are paper. Real cups that can be washed are more environmentally friendly

We booked a room for three people, but upon arrival there was only one double bed. We were informed that they had forgotten to prepare the sofa bed. In addition, the person who slept there found the bottom sheet stained and rest was impossible due to discomfort (attached photos).
At breakfast, only two croasanes remained for three people. They didn't restock, and after us came another couple who no longer found any pastries. As we were told at reception, of the more than 200 rooms, there were only 10 occupied.
The next day we booked at the Ibis Budget in Saint Gaudens. Although the room was smaller, instead of a sofa bed they had a bunk bed, much more comfortable to rest. In addition, the breakfast, similar to that of the Ibis Styles, was constantly replenished. In short, cheaper and better than the Ibis Styles.

Due to a terrible family situation we were unable to make our stay at this so-called hotel. I tried to delay the stay and have a voucher to stay later. No chance, "we can't do that for you, you got a cheaper rate as you paid cash (10 euro cheaper only) we can't change anything, there are rules", etc.... Totally unhelpful and totally closed to any way of helping us.
I hope no-one who reads this opts to stay at your hotel. We visit Carcassonne regularly as we live in Occitanie - we will never come near your hotel again and will advise all local groups/friends to steer clear.
There are plenty of other hotels to choose. Shame on you and the ALL Group

It is easy hidden behind your computer to insult us and degrade our image on social networks, and on Tripadvisor in particular, even though you have not stayed in our hotel. It was you who made the choice to book a non-cancellable, non-modifiable rate, no one forced you to do so, you want all the advantages without the disadvantages, assume your choices and do not come to blame us for your own decisions.

Ibis Styles hotel without surprise, nothing more, nothing less. Friendly welcoming staff, clean rooms. The problem is the breakfast room, crowded tables, lots of people, unsupervised buffet so a lot of customers handle the products without any hygiene. The people in charge of this room are doing their best, but there are not enough of them given the required pace. The only advantage of this establishment is its proximity to the city and the closed parking lot.

A very pleasant stay. The treatment of staff is very good. There was always someone who assisted you in Spanish. The hotel is simple but very complete. The decoration is themed around medieval knights. It has a swimming pool, not very big, but appreciated in summer. The breakfast may be the best in the hotel. Very good, not too much variety, but quality. Special mention to brioche. And the machine to make orange juice on the spot is a luxury. They have lunch and dinner, which we tried and they were also very good. It also has a free and spacious parking lot. In short, excellent quality-price.

A very good hotel. The room is nice and very atypical. All the hotel is of course Carcassonne themed, and there are plenty of little details to find (the one who found the legend of the elevator: award him an Oscar!!!). The bathroom (or water, I should say; for those who want a bathtub, go your way) is very correct, several modes on the showerhead. Breakfast is also very good, full of choices, very good. Finally, the hotel is really close to the city, so perfect.

Dear TA friend, this hotel far away by walk but less 10’ with Taxi, no direct Trainline to Barcelona…you must have hub in Narbonne or Perpignan to reach high speed line to reach Barcelona in 1h only, but from Carcassone to this main stations is about 40’
Hello, I'm not sure but I was there 10 dasy ago and the pool was open and many people were using it. The weather was really warm during the day but cooler when the sun went down.
There are more places to choose from in the Carcassonne Center area.
