Located in the heart of the Saint-Louis fortified town at the foot of the Canal du Midi (5 mins away from the railway station), La Maison Vintage offers the ideal location for discovering Carcassonne and its Medieval City. La Maison Vintage, which has been fully refurbished in an effort to offer you premium comfort while upholding its authentic character, is proud to present its offering of five Bed and Breakfast rooms featuring Seventies and Eighties vintage décor. Here you can discover, or rediscover, furniture and other décor items from designers such as:Stack, Platner, Sottsass, Sapper, Bertoia, Nemson, Piretti, Mies Van Der Rohe, Aibonne, Saarinen, Umeda, Sornay, Panton and many others. You can also view the renderings of various artists such as Cédric Tanguy, Cédric Rouillat and Didier Ra, artists that we were honoured to meet and whose work we are particularly partial to.

I stay in a lot of hotels, and a lot of the time I'm a bit disappointed by properties that are highly reviewed. They just aren't as "good as their reviews." But not this property. La Maison Vintage is a terrific small hotel. The owners are remarkably friendly and accommodating, and will likely great you glass of wine. The breakfast is the best I've ever been served in France, with first-rate meats and cheeses, breads, cereals, fresh juice, etc. The rooms are very large and sport an interesting "modern art" decor. Large well equipped bathrooms as well. They have a lovely garden and patio in the back, where breakfast is served. In the front parlor, a refrigerator with bottled water and such is available for free to guests all day. None of this is obvious from the street, however, where the property looks extremely ordinary and, perhaps, misplaced! We did find free parking right in front. It is a relatively long walk to the medieval city (more than 20 minutes), but very worthwhile and pleasant if you have the time and energy. Otherwise, it would be possible to drive and park closer to the old city. The new city, where most of the stores and restaurants are, is about 10 minuets by foot in the same direction.

Impeccably clean, designed and decorated with much thought, skill and investment, superbly comfortable, amazing breakfast. Our hosts were extremely cordial and respectful, attentive to our needs and sensitive enough to know when we needed our space. Close to a couple of nice restaurants and to the beautiful old city. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for two nights to visit the Old Cite! What a great choice! Denis and Michel go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable? Accommodation is renovated, beds comfortable, facilities very clean and bathrooms extremely spacious and modern! Breakfast was plentiful and served on a veranda enclosed by glass with beautiful views of the garden area. Although the accommodation (as well as parking) is very nice what really makes this an outstanding choice are the hosts Denis and Michel - they made our stay very enjoyable and comfortable. If you choose to stay here you will not be disappointed and listen to Denis’s recommendations for local restaurants. It took us 10 minutes to walk to the town Center and 22 minutes to walk to the Old City - you don’t have to take your car - enjoyable walk and nice views on the way. Highly recommended - thanks for a very nice two days Denis and Michel from your Canadian guests Donna and Derek!

We were (me and my wife) on the way to Biarritz and we need a stop over somewhere. Better in a place we could relax and visit something. That had been the decision to stop here. The place is Outstanding, and the idea of a place like this came from the creativity of the owner and his passion for the Vintage style. The room we've got, was very large and comfortable (it was the space invaders room), the breakfast very good, and a lot of common area both in the garden, the "veranda", or inside. WiFi very fast. Free parking outside. Everywhere surrounded by this beautiful Vintage style. Nearby, a mean 50meters away from the "Maison", an outstanding meat restaurant. You're not close to the "Medieval City" and if you don't move your car as i suggest, to get there you'll need a taxi (10euros x run) or the bus. If you stop in Carcassone for any reason, this place is MANDATORY. Enjoy !

La Maison Vintage is a beautifully created little haven in Carcassonne. The room we had was spacious as was the bathroom and both spotlessly clean. The garden is a bonus and is well laid out and tended. Very friendly welcome and lots of helpful information passed on. Can't praise Denis & co highly enough. Also very convenient for the train station, town and transport to the old City. Peaceful too.
