Possibly the best hotel I've stayed in for ~250 euros/night. Location is perfect, the staff are kind and helpful. The breakfast has everything it should. Stylish interior, loved the birds theme. Good location, almost everything can be reached by foot within 15 minutes.

Visited with 3 of my friends sharing 2 rooms. The hotel has been recently updated and didn't disappoint. Firstly the hotel is very easy to access from the metro with just a 200 yard walk from Cardinal Lemione station. Rooms are excellently appointed and beautifully decorated. We were on the 5th floor with view across he amphitheater at the back....

Nice hotel with very neat decoration and easy walking distance to Notre dame and Latin quarter. The surroundings are also Perfect with some small cafes and very Parisian style and rather quite. Got a beautiful room towards the garden park behind the hotel. The breakfast was also good in the lobby area. Would come back here privatly also later on.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Monge for five nights during my recent trip to Paris. Immediately upon arrival I was made to feel very welcomed, which continued throughout my stay. The staff are very helpful for restaurant suggestions, but also the mundane - but very important - transportation options throughout the city. The room was very nice,...

I actually didn't stay here. My friend stayed here and left valuables in the safe. They informed her that she left them and that they would FedEx it back to her. My husband and I happened to be in Paris at the time and were able to pick it up for her. From the short time we were there, we...

We stayed at Hotel Monge this weekend for 4 nights. The Staff are so relaxed and friendly and they made us feel so welcome. A very well appointed little hotel in a great location near to 3 Metro stations. The busy road could not be heard behind the sound windows. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. Fantastic breakfast maintained fresh throughout...

I came for Paris Fashion Week and I have to say this is the true definition of the word "gem." This place was designed with an artist's eye, the breakfast is delicious (and comparable or cheaper than many New York hotel breakfasts), and the staff is second to none. I don't use the word "perfect" lightly -- it's that amazing....

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
