This is our second long overdue stay at this charming hotel. Perfectly located not only in the region but the town, it offers modern comfortable rooms and exceptionally safe parking. All the staff were helpful and pleasant-I could not recommend it more and will be back again next year I hope
We stayed for 3 nights in the Chenonceau room. Everything was great! Gracious host, helpful staff at reception, convenient safe parking, and a beautiful room that preserved the architectural features while providing every modern amenity. Azay le Rideau was an excellent base - easy drive to Chinon and Villandry and several nice restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
This hotel is truly one of the best hotels we have stayed in for a long time. It is a newly renovated Hotel la Poste so it’s an old hotel where everything has been renewed or renovated . It doesn’t have a restaurant but there are restaurants next door and five mins away next to the chateau itself. One gets breakfast in the hotel in one of the downstairs principal rooms. Everywhere one looks is another architectural treat .
If you are looking for a great hotel to stay a few days while visiting a number of castles in the Loire valley, I recommend this hotel. Situated in the middle of the small town, 100 metres from the castle and within easy driving distance of most of many other castles, this is a great place to stay. We had a spacious room, a very clean bathroom and a nice breakfast buffet. The staff were friendly and helpful. Add to this that the town offers a good variety of restaurants for dinner and you are all set!
A very nice hotel in an old building in a medieval village. It has a well-kept interior, in the public spaces and in the room. The service is dedicated. The breakfast is very good. An ideal place to visit the Loire area and the castles. It is a winner with a very good price/quality rating.
