I stayed at The Travelodge due to the fact that I was on a course. It is your typical travelodge, excellent value and the rooms are good enough to get a reasonable nights sleep and wash in the morning. When I arrived I was surprised to see that they had a bar and they served breakfast and dinner. So on the first night I went downstairs to have a drink and a bite to eat and when I asked at the bar about ordering food I was told "Oh! It's not available" Rather frustrating. If you advertise something make sure it's available and if for any reason it isn't put a sign up saying that it isn't so you manage expectations.

Would I stay there again - Probably - as it's convenient.

The trip to Manchester was for a football match. The hotel was excellent and central to everything
The people we met were helpful and friendly. The hotel staff were polite and friendly. The room was spotless and especially the bathroom, where the towels were fluffy and white. We have never stayed in a Travelodge hotel before. You also could not fault the breakfast , where there was a great choice of everything and was served up until 10am and 11 at weekends. The fact that you could have a drink later in the night was also great.

This hotel is in a fab location and really central to everything. On arrival we were greeted by Paul was was incredibly personable and helpful. We asked for a quiet room and he kindly placed us on the highest floor so we could get a good night's sleep. He was super friendly throughout our stay and provided us with directions and recommendations for breakfast.

The room was fine but it hadn't been cleaned properly. There were crisps on the floor and the remains of what looked like bombay mix behind the TV. I think this is because the cleaners use roomba type vacuum cleaners which were obviously on a diet that day. The hotel was quiet but the room was single glazed and we could hear a lot of noise from the main street below. We know that this is the price you often pay for a central location so we were expecting this.

All in all we would definitely stay again as the good outweighed the bad.

Check in and out was easy and felt as though the hotel was secure with needing key cards to get into the lifts, room was very basic fir what we payed we got tea and coffee facilities but nothing more.
Very disappointed by the cleanliness the Shower bath and sink had over all about 20 hairs in and we couldn’t take the shower head off to wash them away (not like we should’ve needed to). After using the shower we cleaned any water off the floor with a towel and after the towel was absolutely filthy.

Considering I visited in the middle of local lockdowns, I expected rooms to be cleaner than clean. There was dust on surfaces and the sink wasn’t clean, plus the toilet rolls weren’t new

I had to get my own duvet out as there was only a sheet on the bed - it’s hardly tropical outside!

Wifi is expensive - can’t believe in this day and age it’s not free

Very noisy construction going on outside, and I appeared to be on the same floor as several early-risers slamming doors at 5.30am onwards. Very poor sleep

Wouldn’t go again

My family and I stayed here for five nights, hotel location was fantastic for exploring. Hotel room cleanliness was shocking there were stains on the bed sheets, the bath panel was all white stains and there was a build up of hair and toilet roll in the bath drain, hairs in the bath and stains on the shower curtain. There was only one nearly finished toilet roll so we had to ask for more, the soap dispenser also didn't work so we had to use the one over the bath which only lasted two days and was never refilled during our stay, luckily we had brought our own. The chair in the bedroom has obviously never been cleaned as the built up dirt that was in the corners of the chair was absolutely disgusting. There was also a piece of wilted lettuce sticking to it and stains on the side. I understand with covid the cleaners hadn't been cleaning and maintaining your room during your stay but when staying for five nights we had to leave of rubbish and dirty towels outside our room then go to reception each day requesting more towels, toilet roll, milk and coffee. The reception staff were welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately the dirt of the room took away from what could of been a great stay. This was the dirtiest travelodge I have ever stayed at

We stayed here as a family of 2 adults and 2 young children. We stayed 3 nights in total. I was impressed and the stay was better than I expected. When we arrived we were however given the wrong hotel room number so couldn’t get in the room- then a young woman came to the door to see who/ what we were doing trying to get in their room! Quickly rectified at the reception and we were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room. The room was mostly clean but did find some tablets that didn't belong to me by the side of the bed. Every member of staff we spoke to either at breakfast or reception desk were friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was worth the money, all hot, stocked up regularly, and tasty. The location was great, only 5-10 mins away from city centre shops, the print works etc. we would stay here again if we were to come to Manchester. The only downside was the room was never cleaned, as on the first day the cleaner knocked at 16:35 and we hadn’t long got in, and wanted to get ready to go out for food. The second day we left the sign on from 9am to 7pm but no cleaner came- We could have done with clean towels but by that point we were nearly going home so left it. Overall though we enjoyed the stay. Great price especially for mid week stays.

Not great. Much prefer the Piccadilly Travelodge as this one was pretty run down. The room was teeny, we could barely move around without being squashed. Not nice at all! 🥺 It was reasonably clean but there was barely any shower gel in the dispenser and we had to ask for another toilet roll as we only were given one which was 3/4 used. Really rough area of Manchester and found the reception staff unfriendly and disinterested. They constantly looked bored and fed up and literally never saw any of them smile 😂 definitely wouldn't stay here again.

The location is good. Positives are the rooms are big and generally very good for business travellers with large desk etc. Breakfast was good but I only paid for it once. Wifi is not free after 30 minutes and there are still issues with the thoroughness of room cleaning again (my 2nd visit) although this has improved. I still like the hotel as location is great and so is the friendly staff.

Everything is within 10-min walking distance- food, shopping, bus stops

The security was great as only those with key cards can use the elevators.

The room size seemed like it was a bit smaller than other travelodge. However, it was ok for the short stay.

Travelodge is a reliable chain hotel. It never fails to keep its promises- clean towels on demand.

Disadvantages
TV was directly in front of the window and blocking the view.
Armchair was too large to get in since it's between the table and the bed.
