The staff at Waterside are all helpful and welcome you with a smile, especially Hassan who hasn't been there too long. He knows that km going to want a towel as soon as he sees me which means I'm not having to wait. The gym itself is amazing, there's loads of different machines and loads of free weights. Box 21 is a fantastic workout to do and you're definitely sweating before the end of 12 rounds. The spa section is fantastic, there's two saunas and two steam rooms which means it's not too crowded. I would recommend Waterside to everyone.

Absolutely brilliant service from the fantastic Hassan. Sorted our rooms out at the first request when we wanted a twin room. Deffo recommend and coming again. All I will say is that where ever you go, there we are! They say sun doesn't shine in Manchester, but when you have Hassan at the service desk, it always shines!!

The hotel was nice with free access to the gym and the spa. They were excellent facilities in the gym and spa. I would highly recommend it. The spa has multiple steam rooms. The room had all the facilities you would expect. We paid extra for a larger room.

This was my second visit to the Waterside, I returned because of my pleasant experience the 1st visit. Check in this time was pleasant and efficient same as 1st visit.. Room was clean and well presented, the room was small but that’s OK as one guest staying. On arrival in the room I noticed the temperature was cold , tried to adjust thermostat no avail. Reported matter to reception in person spoke to a duty manager she said she would get it looked at. Went out for the evening came back to freezing room!! Spoke to night porter who was pleasant but could not fix the issue. Spent all night in a cold room!! Next morning again reported the issue , went out for the day was fixed on my return.. while checking out I asked not to be charged for 1st night accommodation was willing to pay for all other services.. No manager available to speak with me!! Receptionist said all she could do was a 10% discount.. I was given the operations managers email and name , I did email him but alas no response.. after 2 weeks hence this review. Very disappointed with service provided and would think long and hard about returning.

Well located hotel for the motorway and private hospital. The leisure facilities are excellent and well used by members. Hotel rooms are small but adequate. Breakfast has a good selection both continual and full English, although this can dried out in the hotplate. Restaurant tables are often not cleaned and cutlery seems to be in short supply! Having eaten a lunch in the restaurant, I cannot recommend the food or service. My stay was 8 nights and I only had my bathroom cleaned once in 7 nights. Housekeeping left both my bedroom door wide open aswell as the bedroom window wide open with all my personal belongings inside! Reception staff, on the other hand were extremely helpful, especially Dan.

A very nice stop over for my business purposes. Lovely staff very welcoming and helpful. Rooms a bit on the small side but then for work purposes you just sleep in them. Food choice a little on the limited side - breakfast ok evening meal choices nothing special so we ate out. Would I return yes

Currently here for two nights while working this way . Room is small, amenities not that good, shower is hard work to sort temperature. Just popped for breakfast surely this will be ok ? Not a chance , the coffee machine wasn’t working and when I approached a rude member of staff he said give me ten minutes while he proceeded to clean tables , priorities? The bacon was good but everything else was shrivelled up as been left too long . The biggest gripe is that my room keeps having a strange noise in the roof space like mice are in there and it’s really annoying Just to add I had food last night which was ok but pricey £15 burger nothing special and £6 a pint of lager . I was looking forward to staying here after reading the reviews but I’m sorry to say it’s not for me , the staff haven’t been very friendly except for the check in guys

Overall a really nice hotel, staff were absolutely excellent. Everywhere was clean including the pool. Downside for us was we booked adjoining rooms as we were two parents and 2 small children but when we arrived they didn't have any, nor any family rooms. This meant we had to have entirely seperate rooms so use of the gym in the evening when the kids were asleep was totally out for us. The beds were absolutely TINY. If you're anywhere close to 6 foot your hanging out the end and they are very narrow. Shower was glorious though. Breakfast was really nice , great selection and very accommodating staff. Location was convenient with restaurants and such nearby. Overall we were really happy with our stay.
