Some hotels have a great location, some have great facilities. This has both but, this hotel has something that is rarely found these days - fantastic staff! From your warm greeting to your cheery goodbye. From Ann and the rest of the reception staff to big Pete the maintenance man, the staff here are just fantastic. To the owner - Congratulations on putting together such a great team. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. I will most definitely be back.

What a fantastic stay, my husbands additional medications were handled correctly by each different receptionist and nothing was a chore for them. Check in/out is easy, Ethan and Holly on reception went above and beyond, we didn’t catch anyone else’s names but they were all great, hats off to the kitchen staff for the best buffet breakfast we think we’ve ever had. The gym and spa facilities are great also, it’s huge, we made good use of the steam room and sauna put it that way. The room was spacious, good hot water and pressure all the time. Just had a really good 2 night stay, we will definitely book again, thanks for a fab stay

On a rainy February day in Manchester, the Castlefield Hotel proved to be a big ray of sunshine. It's been a while since we last visited the hotel, but we were delighted to see that the staff remain the friendliest and most helpful group of people you could meet. Our room was spotlessly clean and well equipped and, although there was a glitch with the heating system, the reception team went above and beyond to provide us with some electric radiators.

I stayed here for a Friday and Saturday night to visit a friend for their birthday. Travelling with 3 little impeccably behaved dogs I like comfort and good value. This place amply covers comfort and value, plus it was clean and warm too. Really friendly staff from check in to check out. Able to help with information and ideas when asked. With a delicious breakfast in the morning. Thanks to you all for making our stay a really great experience. If you’re a guest and remember to do it, pack your swimming gear. You can swim for free in the downstairs gym. Doggies and I really enjoyed staying here. You may well too.

We rented a room for an event. I found the staff extremely helpful, nothing is too much trouble to make sure we had everything we needed. I find it good value for the money paid and the added benefit is some of it goes to charity. It is important to help others if one can do so. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great place. Fantastic location of you're doing a show at the Albert Hall. On site parking is chargeable but reasonable and very handy so I didn't care. Some great bars and restaurants locally too. Blues Kitchen & Peaky Blinders was great! All in all a good stay, with good staff and facilities. My body clock is broken so I was up at 4am and went down to the bar and asked for decent coffee and they were really obliging. Will definitely be back again.

Comfy clean rooms and good value , really impressed with the staff in the hotel they were friendly and welcoming. The only thing that brought our rating down was the lady on desk at the gym/pool made us feel really awkward, she was rude and condescending to the customer before us, as the customer left the woman on desk was eye rolling and tutting behind her back. When we requested to swap 2 50ps for a £1 or token to use the lockers she refused and told us no you have to leave your credit card or car keys, when I explained we were uncomfortable to do that she sneered I’m not going to nick it there’s cctv. Nice hotel but due to the bad attitude from gym receptionist we would not stay again.
