Great hotel with excellent and helpful staff. Room was comfortable and reasonable size. Breakfasts were exceptional on both mornings as were the dinners. Chipping Campden is a lovely village and good centre for touring the Cotswolds.Nearby Hidcote Manor (NT) is well worth a visit

Dear Mike Thank you so much for leaving your review after your recent visit. I was sorry that you did not see the bar tariff prominently displayed at the end of the bar. Whilst I am sure you are aware of how business works, I just wanted to go over a couple of points with you. Our prices are determined by many factors, not least the prominent position we hold in the centre of the prettiest High Streets in the UK. Now before you suggest we are using this position to profiteer, far from it. To have a business in such a location means our rent, business rates and other costs are all proportionately more expensive. Yes, Mike, you guessed it, we have to have proportionally higher selling prices too. Secondly, we don't purport to be a drinker’s venue. If we were our Tripadvisor listing and online marketing would say as such. Surely as such an avid reviewer, you checked our listing first to see if we are promoting cheap beer? You see Tripadvisor doesn't work like this, you can't give a low score for us not being something you want us to be. Well, you can and you did but it doesn't make it right, it just depends if you want to play to the rules. As a business that takes its responsibility in the local town very seriously; we employ the local people that you live alongside, buy local produce, support local charities and also volunteer. These include Dover’s Games, Campden Christmas Market, Campden Edge, Campden Home Nursing, and local schools. In addition, we power the Christmas lights throughout the town every December. So, Mike, I'm really sorry that our beer is a few pence more than a pub you went to, and I'm also sorry we have lost your custom. I would, however, be delighted if you wish to pop in and see me to discuss this. Your account is anonymous but I am here if ever you would like to visit me to discuss. Kind Regards Craig Webb Cluster Manager

I am allergic to pet hair - do you have a dog free room policy?
I would call the hotel since I don’t know the answer. I remember there being one or two dogs in the lobby however and the pub and dining area.
