Just as the title says.
I stayed here just for 1 night, I was tired after a long day, when I arrived and Mandy was very friendly, made me a nice cuppa and showed me my room.

The breakfast the next morning was delicious.

Highly recommended

An absolutely wonderful guesthouse in tranquil, but yet easy to find, surroundings. We stayed in the Blue Room which was a spacious double room with a lovely view over the garden and the Welsh hills. The room lacked nothing - there were bathrobes, bottled mineral water, a kettle, biscuits, radio/TV and a sofa. Everything was immaculately clean and the bathroom shone as if never used before. There was plenty of hot water and the beds were the most comfy beds I've ever slept in. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order, yummy. Parking is no problem, we had our car just outside the entrance.

Paul was extremely friendly and helpful; he booked us a table at The Plough Inn and even gave us a lift there. He also helped us to find accommodation for the next night since we, unfortunately, could not stay at Dovecote Grange as it was fully booked.

This is a perfect place if you want to explore Shropshire; it is only about 20 mins from Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and Cosford respectively. In all, one of the best guesthouses/hotels I've ever stayed in and I highly recommend it to everybody. We'll definitely come back.

This is a charming little inn with personal touch from the owner. Stayed here for 2 days and was not let down at all. Our room is the yellow room facing the garden.
It might be an inn but the room is well equipped with whatever you can find in a 5 star hotel.
Breakfast was amazing. We totally enjoyed our stay and thank you to the lovely host!

We stayed here for a long weekend. Mandy greeted us on arrival and after showing us to the room made us a cup of coffee and was very welcoming. She then offered to book us a table for dinner at the local pub which was great. The room was a good size and very comfortable, including a nice comfy sofa. Breakfast was very tasty and a good choice of menu. Mandy was very helpful with providing information on things to do in the local area.

I travel loads all around the world for work as I am a travel writer. At the end of the day it is pretty simple. All you want is a comfy bed, decent shower and tips on where to go and what to see. I got all of this and more over here. Thanks for your hospitality. Oh the breakfast was spot on!

From the outside Dovecote Grange is not your traditional B&B, being a large, detached modern house. We had a nice welcome from Mandy who offered tea and cake - unfortunately we couldn't take advantage as we had a table booked at the pub up the road 1/2 an hour later. Should definitely time it to arrive late afternoon next time!
Inside the house is large and well decorated and has huge, comfortable rooms (we were in room 2), well equipped and with good quality tea, coffee etc. - much better than most b&b's. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep.
Breakfast was good quality and well cooked, with a good choice on the menu. Better sausages would be my only suggestion. The dining room was lovely, as was the service.
Our only regret was only being in the area for one night - we will be back for a few days next time to make the most of the lovely house and garden.
The Pheasant is a good pub just 5 minutes walk up e road. Book on a Friday or Saturday!

Our family of 8 stayed at Dovecote Grange for 3 nights, as we were attending our son's wedding in Shropshire. Mandy and Paul were very welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were well-appointed and very clean. Breakfasts were great - catering for all tastes. Would definitely recommend this lovely property.

Had booked just one night, as we were attending a family wedding in the area, phoned on the day to enquire if we could book in earlier than stated time, as we wanted to change before the wedding, told this would be no problem.
Arrived to a warm welcome, and shown our rooms, which were delightful, large, clean and very attractively furnished. The bed was a dream to sleep in, the en-suite was huge, the full width of the room in fact.
Drink making facilities were provided, with coffee sachets to make ground coffee, plus plentiful additional supplies outside on the spacious landing. Breakfast provided a varied menu, and was really enjoyed.
It is worth paying that little bit extra to enjoy such warm hospitality, quality of service and high standards.
Would recommend highly, without hesitation.

This is our second visit to Dovecote and it is reliably lovely. We have stayed in the same room twice (room 2) so I cannot comment on the other rooms but room two is really spacious for a family with a Superking bed and sofa bed. The bathroom is huge with an oversized bath and seperate shower, all immaculate. Room 2 has everything you could need with bathrobes, hair dryer, flat screen tv and DVD, tea and coffee making etc. there's a library of DVD's to borrow downstairs in the very welcoming lounge. The breakfast is delicious and really well cooked, Mandy will pretty much cater for whatever you want. If you want cheap and nasty then go down the road to the Travelodge but if you want to be looked after in an immaculate house that makes you feel like you are part of the home then this is for you. You won't be disappointed.

A challenge to find with the postcode however this was soon overcome with some directions from Paul over the phone. Booked as a result of checking their details online including the reviews on tripadvisor.

And Yes, it lived up to its reputation of excellent reviews with a warm welcome from the owner over a coffee. Delightful setting in the village away from busy roads. Modern house with wooden beams and high ceilings. Car parking at the front of the house.

I opted for a single room and I was pleasantly surprised by the room size and the notable clean modern bathroom - a rare thing nowadays.

Breakfast was excellent.

Simply great value and excellent on all fronts.

"All rooms are clean and have lovely views....personally the yellow room (3) was more than enough for a couple, but the lavender room (2) did feel slightly more opulent for a smaller price increase."
