We stayed here last night as an overnight stop en route to Dublin. Can’t fault the place and wish we could have stayed longer. The sweeping drive leads up to a characterful house with original features and a very warm welcome from Alan. The rooms are spotless and have all home

We had a lovely stay, it felt like we were in the country side as opposed to just outside of Kilkenny centre. A fantastic breakfast (black and white pudding), nice view of the field out front with a couple of horses. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at Glendine with friends while touring Ireland, you will not be disappointed staying here. The house has been redone done and is beautiful. Tom & Ann were excellent hosts. Our room was the most beautiful B&B we have ever stayed in. I would definitely recommend staying

We had a lovely stay at Glendine House Kilkenny for just one night. Host Alan could not have been more helpful and charming. He met us in his car to direct us to his home, and the place is just as it looks in the pictures. We were only a few minutes drive away from the heart of

How far is Glendine House from Kilkenny city center?
Glendine House is probably about a mile and a half to two miles from Kilkenny center. It was an easy and relatively direct car ride for about 5 minutes, as I recall. However, the owner of Glendine was more than happy to drive us there, if we wanted, but since he was able to tell us how to drive there and where to find parking, we chose to drive. We went to town at least three times, always finding our way and always finding parking very easily. There are certainly places right in town where you can walk out the door and be in the thick of it, but we liked the charm of Glendine and the beautiful grounds and found the owner to be just as helpful and pleasant as mentioned on all the reviews. I hope this helps.

"We were in a double room that overlooked a small deer area."
"Rooms 2 and 3 probably have best outlooks."
"room 3 for comfort and views, no bath but large walk in shower"
"We were in room 1 - which is near the kitchen and breakfast room, if you want a lie in i would ask to be placed in another room. The noise didnt effect us but if it was busy i think it would be quite loud."
"We were at the back of the house and as well as looking out onto lovely grounds, we could hear the Springsteen concert across the fields! Bonus!"
