We stayed here for three nights. Loved the hotel, hotel staff and breakfast area. We were in room 145 and it was super quiet and very large. Heated towel rack in the bathroom. Breakfast was buffet style with large variety. We would have a cocktail each night upon our return to the hotel. Easy walking distance to everything.
Wow what a visit, a lovely hotel. Modern, clean and everything you could possibly ask for. Service was amazing, especially Mark on reception who went the extra mile. A real credit to the hotel. Food was excellent too. I can highly recommend and will be sure to visit again soon. Thank you
We loved this lovely hotel. Beautiful well designed bedroom on the ground floor. The staff so friendly and helpful. We are leaving this morning but hotel will kindly keep our luggage until later in the day when we will travel home. Buffet breakfast great with staff at the ready to help if needed. We had dinner here and we’re happy with it. The hotel is really central a few minutes from O’Connell street.
I stayed at the Belvedere for one night in October while on a tour with Intrepid Travel. Since I stayed in Dublin for a few days after the tour, I know the hotel rooms are expensive. However, I would recommend looking for other options if possible. This hotel was fine for one night, but it needs to be updated. My room was on the third floor and faced a brick wall. This was fine, however, since I could leave my window open to get fresh air. Otherwise, the room had little air circulation. There was no air conditioning in the room, and the weather was warm. It would’ve been too hot to sleep at night without the window open. Luckily, it was still quiet enough due to my room’s location. As I said, the rooms need to be updated – or at least the one in which I stayed. The carpet was old and felt dirty. There was a step up to go to the bathroom, and I tripped on it in the middle of the night despite the “Mind the Step” sign. The room smelled a bit musty. The bedding was too heavy for the weather, and there was no sheet. We arrived around noon and were informed the rooms weren’t ready, which we expected. We asked to store luggage and went on a long walk throughout Dublin. When we returned around three hours later, our luggage was still in the same place in the lobby, unsecured. Staff were not very friendly. …
Beautiful and comfortable, clean room in a great hotel. The staff were very friendly, lovely breakfast with fresh products and a very clean room. Close to O'connell street, but no noise at night. Tip: try the Irish Nights at the hotel. A great experience with great food as well.
My son booked the Belvedere Hotel for me as I had to stay over prior to surgery. I arrived at the Hotel yesterday morning after 10am to be greeted by Mark on Reception. To say he was helpful is an understatement. He took my bag and wished me a good day. I arrived back after 3pm and Mark was on the desk. He even remembered my name which was such a lovely thing. I checked in with ease and had a late lunch in the adjoining dining room. Food was superb. I collected my bag and went to my upgraded superior room which was perfect for my needs. Due to a long day I was asleep by 4.30. I had a great night's sleep, bed was comfortable. I particularly liked the green light in the hall and bathroom so there was no need to put the lights on if I needed the bathroom. Unfortunately I have been unable to try their breakfast due to pending surgery. Overall my experience has been phenomenal, given the efficiency and expertise of Mark and my room itself. Location suited my needs to a T. Having worked in the hospitality industry myself in the past I would certainly recommend the Belvedere and would have no hesitation in staying here again.…
Nice location amd pleasant staff. Buffet breakfast was good but dinner was horrible. (I think they must concentrate on their nightly Irish show) We had no choice but to eat there one night and were very disappointed. Only four rooms in the hotel have a/c and mine was not one of them. They did give us two small fans that did help a bit. Our room was on The first floor which consisted of carrying our luggage UP 10 steps. Did not like that. They did arrange for an early cab to the airport for us and packed a take away breakfast.
We stayed on Saturday night for Gareth brooks concert and had sent an email to request an early check in…the staff of course couldn’t promise or guarantee it. Thankfully we were checked in by 1030. Staff went all out with cowboy hats and matching shirts. You could also purchase a cupcake and bottle of water and all proceeds went to cancer. Our breakfast was one of the best I ever had. Thanks again for our dinner that evening as again fresh food and hot and well presented
Booked one night for Garth Brooks Concert - felt at 379 Euro it was expensive but sure Garth is worth it! Great Welcome from reception on arrival, room was perfect with lovely gifts of a poncho and water bottle for the concert. Sadly it went downhill from there! Went to the bar and asked for a Strawberry Daiquiri.. the bar man didn’t know what it was 🙈 we ordered our drinks and didn’t return to the bar u til after the concert, on entering, there was a queue out the door with two very slow and inexperienced bar staff on duty.. there was a third staff member there who appeared to be responsible for ‘ringing items into the till’, bar service was poor, slow (15 minutes wait for a drink) with surly staff! Hopefully Donie made note of this as he walked round the hotel after the Concert! We arrived for Breakfast this morning.. no greeting, no explanation of what was available etc. it was a buffet, we made our toast and tea and then loaded our breakfast plates.. on sitting down , We both realised very quickly that both the bacon and scrambled egg were cold .. totally off putting - I observed the kitchen come and top up the buffet trays, piling fresh hot food on top of what was already there.. we explained at the counter how awful breakfast was and were not charged, however, for me a decent breakfast sets you up for the day, this didn’t happen at the Belvedere.. and we were down for breakfast at 8.30am.. so food should have been hot!! The only other issue was the smell and poor appearance of the stairwell to the bedrooms - obvious damp/water ingress that hasn’t been addressed, resulting in a bad smell in that area. Very expensive stay!…
Stayed in The Belvedere last night. It was the first night of Garth Brookes's concerts and Dublin was heaving with check clad, stetson wearing fans. Staff there were lovely, check in was simple and our room was ideal. We were very impressed that, along with the usual hotel welcome gifts there were complimentary ponchos and water bottles. Very friendly staff. The doorman, Cathal, was a lovely man and very helpful with anything we asked for.
