Stayed here for Christmas party for one night. Hotel is large with a bit of an arkward layout, easy to get lost! Didn’t use gym or pool so cannot comment on theses areas. Food was good. Felt that service was lacking in areas. Bar and bistro area very nice.
Stayed for a night in early December. Check in was fine and the hotel reception was decorated lovely for the Christmas season. It did feel like we we're interrupting when we walked to the desk. The room was a nice size and the underground heating the bathroom is a lovely touch. The matress wasn't great, not very comfortable to sleep in. Out particular room also had mood lighting but after you turn this on a large blue LED light stayed on the control panel which distrupted sleep. Housekeeping starts early (as with most hotels), however banging doors and shouting down corridors at 7.30 in the morning isn't what you need when you are looking to sleep in.
All in all a lovely hotel but just needs improving in some areas.
Really enjoyed stay here. Great for families. Rooms are clean and quiet. Great pool area. Food was great. Good choice for breakfast and no delays waiting for tables. Hotel is well positioned just off the N40 and also very accessible to the city centre.
Nice hotel, lovely room with lovely ambient lighting. Fantastic shower. Breakfast was busy and poor attention from staff. Coffee machine on the blink leading to long queues at other machine. Food nice and very friendly chef.
I had occasion to stay in this property for two nights mid November 2018. The Front Office receptionists were obviously untrained for the position they held, ignored guest who was trying to check in as they were talking amongst themselves, poor appearances - no official uniform or name tags, totally unprofessional. Booked a room on ground floor, apparently no room available so was allocated a room on third floor, supposedly quiet. Room was small , dirty curtains on window, no fridge even though space was there, phone not working and furnishings old and shoddy. Music blaring from nearby party. Requested a change of room, front office receptionist unhelpful, had to request to speak with manager before finally being allocated a room on ground floor. Room was bigger but hair dryer was not working, bathroom shower was grubby and dirty, TV was over 10 years old (non digital) and very limited channels. The WORST hotel experience and an embarrassing reflection on hospitality standards in Ireland. Miriam
