We stayed overnight as a birthday treat. Perfect location handy for everything, food, shopping, pubs & train station. The staff couldn't be more helpful we were looked after well & nothing was a bother. Room was clean & comfortable, great lay out & the shower was brilliant! Lovely cakes & little touches just made it perfect. Will definitely stay here on our next trip!

A bit dubious when approaching the hotel from the street and getting into lift. Hotel is on the sixth floor. Staff were friendly and helpful. Daily cupcakes and ice-cream. The room was clean and spacious. The room had a ceiling fan which was needed. You can not hear the busy street noise with the double windows but could not leave these open at night. Hotel is really close to lots of restaurants and bars.

This was a work trip, first time back in Glasgow for a while and stayed 4 nights at Grasshoppers, absolutely loved it. The entrance might not inspire you but as soon as you step out of the lift on the 6th floor (there are loads of stairs, it's a tall building) you immediately feel at ease. The rooms are very quiet, nice and clean, the staff is very friendly and happy to help and there are those little touches that makes your stay all the more enjoyable (free ice cream, cakes...). You are virtually a step away from Central Station in Glasgow, 30 minutes walk from SEC, close to the city centre and yet not really getting much noise disturbances. I am heading back to Glasgow late November, there was no hesitation in my mind on where to stay, this is a great little hotel indeed!

Wow! What a fabulous find. Everything about Grasshoppers was top notch and wonderful. The location, the rooms, the bed, the bedding, the amazing breakfast, the super-friendly staff and the overall vibe and atmos were fabulous! All I can say is that we will be back next time we're in Glasgow. We won't stay anywhere else.

Booked this a few months in advance to attend a local event - we were not disappointed! I had been curious about the 'luxury on a budget' set up and that's exactly what it was. Spotlessly clean - decent sized rooms and common areas - comphy bed - good food - lovely treat with the cupcakes & ice cream - I really could not fault our stay. We were on the side that over looked the station roof and was slightly worried about the noise - no issues with this even on the sat afternoon when we checked in and had the windows open. So central for shops, restaurants and bars - we are already checking dates for next year to stay again!
